After installing some mods (could provide a full list later, but it's late now), my Khajiit characters night-eye is no longer functioning properly. It has a significant delay (10 seconds or more) between button press and activation. The Shouts are UNaffected (and bound to the same key).

None of the mods (see above) modifies night-eye, shouts, or powers in any way. I have also tried unistalling the mods (one at a time) to try and find the culprit. No luck.

Has anybody else experienced this? Can you help me fix it?

Try removing the mods, then use Night-Eye. If it works alright, try reinstalling the mods to see if its fixed. Thats what i would do.

"I have also tried unistalling the mods (one at a time) to try and find the culprit." -Rakuall, first post

But skim posts sometimes too, so I guess it's okay that you missed that.

Upon further investigation, the issue appears to be .ini based. (I've used IniTweaker and TESConfigurator) In the event there is anyone here who understands Inispeak, I'll upload my modified .inis for perusal.

Nevermind, I fixed it. After really fluffing it up, (ie, spawining an attronoch would crash the game), I reinstalled, then re-examined my ini-files. The Atronoch crash was due to my "number of havok threads" variable blank, so the atronoch would need to check its spawn point (requiring the physics engine;Havok).I set it to "1", everything's fine. Because it was allowed no processor threads, CTD. Probably; I'm no techie. I don't know for sure what would have fixed the night-eye delay. It's fixed now.

There was one other odd thing; I lost a mod. After re-installing Skyrim, and all the mods I had before (or so I thought), I got a "this save file relies on data no longer availible..." message upon loading a save. Ths message typically only apperas after uninstalling a mod. I took another look at the mods I installed, and the ones I downloaded, but had yet to install, and gave it a good thinking over, but I can't figure out which one I missed. I loaded the save anyway, and everything works just fine, night-eye, atronochs, and whatever that lost mod was modifying.

I regret that I don't know what cuased this issue, for I'm sure others will eventually need to fix it.
Thank you, SkyrenRyuu, for taking time to try and assist me, even when I baffled you. Should ever want my input specifically, feel free to PM me. I likely won't be browsing much here, no that my problem is resolved, but won't hesitate to give you a hand. I also realize this is a monster post, and few will make it this far. If you have, thanks for reading.

I'm now encountering this issue, did you find a way to disable the message? I want skyrim to try loading my saved games without input from the user

I never did disable the message. It's nothing to worry about if you know which mod you uninstalled. It will only appear when loading a save that had the mod, so if you load "save #10" and get the message, save as "save #11" and when you load that the message will not display.

As for the night-eye delay,I never found out why it got messed up, but an unist-reinst fixed that. if you are having summoning crashes, check your .ini files to make sure the "number of havok threads" is at least 1, and a whole number (ie: 1 or 2, but not 1.5).

Thanks Rakuall, I think I will load and then save all my games just to get rid of that message. (I save at different stages just to replay them).

The ini files you posted are bad, you want to start with fresh ones and check the Geforce guide to skyrim tweaks if you want to tweak them.

DON'T USE THOSE INI FILES.
