No sports in any of the provinces that i know of. Arena fighting in Cyrodiil comes close. And no Gambling?

So if there would be sports and gambling what kind?

I could see the Khajiit making a dice game.
The Nords would probably have a sport chucking boulders or flipping tree trunks.

All cultures through out history have had sports and games. I suppose I should define sports as recreational activities. But there's none.

you know, these people are in civil war, no time for sports...
also, I'm glad they not included any sport

I can kinda agree with the civil war, no time for sports idea, but you'd think there'd be some sort of gambling in the taverns... hell, Bard's Tale 2 was released in 1985 and they had casinos in that which played a variant of blackjack. maybe a dice game, or darts?

There at least should have been a bandit fighting pit, where you where trapped in an arena type thing and bandit after bandit they came after you until you killed the chief and got his key. Or Have a permanant fighting pit somewhere in the wilderness...

Or something like going into the Castle Dour grounds in Solitude, and the soldiers challenging you to test your archery skills. Little things, friendly competitions, would be pretty fun. Or SKEEVER FIGHTS! Kind of like rooster fights but with skeevers, liike the Varren fight in Mass Effect 2.

Or tournaments! Like (if anyone here's played Mount & Blade) with prize money and everything! With some named and not named NPCs, like maybe Mjoll and Aela and Farkas and Vilkas, etc...

OR BEER PONG! Everyone loves beer pong. Well, I guess it'd be mead pong or something, but you get the idea...

Except that this isn't the Old West in 1887. It would go off-track from the whole medieval-setting.

I like the skeever fight idea! Then maybe you might have to brawl someone who doesn't pay up.

Mount & Blade... Whenever I'm watching a movie with friends and there's a scene of soldiers cheering we yell, "Hit the tab key!" :D

I think the closest I've seen was the dungeon/crypt where the baddies had an arena and had wolves or something fighting each other. I can't quite remember exactly where now.

As far as sports that could have been included - I'm disappointed I can't go fishing :D That could even have its practical uses too as you can cook the fish :D

I'm suprised that there are no drinking contests. Except for that one with "Sam"...

(and yes, I think it should be considered as sport)

There is two things i want to mention
1 is there should be an olympic type of games in skyrim
2 is where is the nearest strip club in skyrim, i mean seriously Skyrim can't be called an rpg without a stripping girl.

the lack of mini-games in Skyrim is kinda disappointing, but I don't remember any in Oblivion either. I guess they figure there is so much to do already that there was no need.

I wouldn't mind if there was real fishing, especially that we have fishing rods in game.
