Galathor - my beloved first character, a Nordic board and sword warrior
Marcus Arcturus - Imperial thief and assassin
Caeros Valeren - my Altmer mage that I roleplayed as an exposed Thalmor spy and an all-round douche
Wrothgar Steelfist - Orc Weaponmaster, a dual wielding specialist clad in heavy armor

Bad-People

Supreme Overlord of the Barbarian Tribe of Hothor
Ax Battler
Tyris Flare
& Gilius Thunderhead.

Nocte Aeterna

Sir Not-Appearing-in-This-Film
All three are in my signature, but I'll gladly break them down:

- Rannulfus Grandus, an intelligent and conniving Imperial skilled with stealth. He's adept at Sneak, Archery, One-Handed, Light Armor, Speech, and Alchemy. He is affiliated with the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood.

- Valbjorn Bear-Blooded, an adventurous Nord who specializes in Smithing, Two-Handed, Heavy Armor, and Enchanting. He despises law-breakers, and his loyalty lies with the Companions.

- Nendir, a dignified Dunmer/Dark Elf talented at Destruction, Alteration, Conjuration, and One-Handed. He is rather reserved and prefers to keep to himself. He attends the College of Winterhold.

I may have a fourth character on the way, either a Redguard weaponmaster (dual-wielding One-Handed, Archery, Smithing, Heavy Armor, and Enchanting) or a Breton necroblade (almost exclusively Conjuration, Sneak, Illusion, and Light Armor). I'm actually leaning towards the weaponmaster.

the names of my characters are on my signature but I will explain the names:

Adam Belmont - Breton Mage: Well, Adam is my real name and Belmont I stole from the Castlevania series (Richter Belmont). And I think Adam Belmont is a name that a Breton would use.

Feanor - Wood elf Archer: Those who have read the Silmarillion from Tolkien knows Feanor was an important Elf in the history of Middle-Earth

Sigurd - Nord Warrior: Sigurd is a hero from norse mythology and is know for killing the Dragon Fafnir. I play with this character as a Dragon Slayer and the real Dragonborn, so Sigurd is a name that fits him.

DrunkenMage

Intoxicated Arch-Mage
Thorek Doom-Sayer - Nord Necromancer.

Raven - Altmer Witchhunter.

Lorkmir Bear-Arm - Nord Dragonborn.

Arathor - Bosmer hunter, follower of Hircine.

Legate Marcus Corvinus - Imperial Legionnaire.

Jay & Silent Bob - Nord skooma dealers, that stand infront of Belethors shop

Irish

Thane of Solitude
Aliera e'Kieron, Imperial spellsword: Named after a character in Steven Brust's Vlad Taltos series.

Hildolfr

It's a big hammer.
Oh! I've never posted in this thread before.

Hildolfr (Old Norse name, translates to battle-wolf or war-wolf)
- Male Nord, 2handed, light armor

Cornelia (Just a Ancient Roman name I really like)
- Female Imperial, sword and board, heavy armor

Ylva (Old Norse name, translates to she-wolf)
- Female Nord, dual wield, heavy armor

I've had what feels like a ton of other characters, but these are the only three that have made it to this point in time. A personal favorite of mine was an Aragorn-style character named Stydr (Nord, 1handed, archer, sneak). Stydr accidentally got deleted and I've been bummed about it for awhile. To be fair, he went in a wildly different direction then I ever intended.

Kahjiit thief - Four finger Kitkat

Wood Elf - Alchemist and archer - Mick Sturbes

Orc Warrior - Bam Bam (the flintstones)

Argonian cunjoration mage - Sleeps-with-Fishes.

I suffer from chronic restartitis, but I still give plenty of thought to my character's names, even if they don't mean anything :p

I'll give you a brief rundown of the ones in my sig..

Arok gro-Urzog:
A city Orc from Cheydinhal, Cyrodiil, came to Skyrim to avenge his mother's death at the hands of necromancers, after a priviledged childhood and Legion training. Scours Skyrim for the Strongholds to find clues on his mother, and eventually finds and destroys the muderous coven. Afterwards, becomes seasoned bounty-hunter and general mercenary. Sword and board warrior, Heavy Armour, and a little Restoration magic. Can't wait to play Dawnguard with him when PS3 gets it! :D

Lilija:
A Nord, sheltered from life by her uncle until her late teens, the only family she has left. That is, until he is killed by Alduin during his flight from Helgen. War Axes, Destruction and Light Armour are her chosen tools once she discovers her gift. Fuelled by a desire for revenge, hunts Dragons mercilessly until there are no more. Becomes Lilija Stormblade, of the victorious Stormcloak army. Eventually, her madness overruns her, and she becomes a permanent inhabitant of Apocrypha, desperate for more power.

Gattuso:
An ex-elite forces Legionnaire, on the run from the Empire and Thalmor after skimming supplies and selling them to old contacts. Spends months fleeing across the province, taking one job at a time, until the search parties stop, and he can start making some real money. Starts out as a travelling bounty hunter, eventually becomes a member of a certain Guild in Riften. Archery, Swords, Sneak, Light Armour and Block are Gattuso's skills, along with his silver tongue. Dislikes magic.

Fedos:
After decades of captivity at the hands of an assassination target, Fedos takes his chance and murders them all in their sleep, when a novice mage forgets to lock his cell door properly. Desperate to regain his skills as an assassin, and make up for the last 60 years or so, he has to relearn everything he knew. An assassin with a penchant for Alchemy, he has no skill with a bow, but loves to get up close and personal with his targets. Relearns his reasonable skills with Light Armour, Destruction and Illusion, too, but prefers not to need them. Takes time to learn as part of the Thieves Guild, before joining the Dark Brotherhood.

Almaril:
Ex-Thalmor trainee more interested in raising Skeevers and terrorizing the townsfolk during adolescence, rather than furthering the Dominion's cause. Given a chance to escape "re-education" due to his obvious potential, sent away on the first boat, which happens to drop anchor at Dawnstar. Almaril goes ahead and wreaks havoc in Skyrim, delving into the dungeons to further his learning in Illusion and Conjuration's dark powers of Necromancy. Soon enough, the Thalmor assassination attempts come, and Almaril takes on the Thalmor head-on. Gathers artefacts capable of corrupting even the most noble of souls, which Almaril certainly isn't. Of the opinion that Harkon's gift would be a great way to ensure he has enough time to learn all there is about Illusion, Conjuration and Destruction. Also dabbles in Alteration and Restoration when he's not binding the souls of the dead to his robes and trinkets.

Kili:
A beautiful Bosmer sweet as honey and with a voice to match, on the outside. Really, she is little more than a petty thief, waiting for the right time to soften up her marks (by any means) and steal steal steal. Earns a decent living as a bard, known to play the Lute and sing with an almost angelic beauty, but she still steals. She's saving up for something big, and usually on the move. Fairly woeful in combat, but with a decent enough hold on Illusion magic to confuse her victims long enough to escape, should she ever find herself in trouble. Peripheral member of the Thieves Guild.

Thomir:
The true Dragonborn. Son of Filnjar at Shor's Stone, Thomir can work a forge with the best of 'em, and swing a Greatsword like few ever have. Noble and strong, Thomir aids the weak and kills the dishonest, hoping to bring good back into the world. Bears the burden of his conscience more than most, and often consults with the Greybeards, although he still can't decide what to do about their leader. Restores Imperial control back to Skyrim with the long-term in mind, after leading groups of the Companions by Harbinger Vilkas' side decimating the Falmer before they could overrun the surface of his beautiful homeland. Wears his bruised old Banded Iron with pride, until he wears the Companions Wolf Armour. Eventually, Eorlund finds the time to make something useful out of all those old Dragon bones.

Ysara:
This Breton/Nord is a former priestess of Kynareth. Ysara is still devoted to her goddesses, but has decided to take her healing arts to her father's homeland, Skyrim. Skilled particularly in Restoration, Alchemy and Alteration, she wanders through the province collecting new ingredients and stories of exploration. Nervous in combat, Ysara has the most affinity for Frost magic, most likely due to her father's stories of Skyrim's blizzards she listened to as a fascinated child. Ysara only uses Ice Spikes and Ice Storms until she has enough of an advantage to flee, she will never kill willingly. She also has a spell that she prefers to keep fairly secret unless she needs it; a familiar. Not any old hell-hound, Ysara's familiar is an aspect of a wolf she tended to when she was young, a tiny cub left abandoned by it's mother. The young wolf had become Ysara's closest childhood friend despite her parents' protests, and was the reason why Ysara had chosen to become a priestess of Kynareth.

Acilio:
Sick of playing dogsbody to Legates and Praefects, Acilio deserted the Legion after the events at Helgen. Although he'd had dreams of becoming a famous Imperial Battlemage, his father had forced him into conventional training, and became an average soldier. Although Acilio took his work seriously, he would probably never have the skills and recognition he'd dreamed of. The events at Helgen had been terrible, but fortunate for him, as he would be presumed dead. He changed his name and used the modest martial and magical skills he had to earn a living, and finally learn the magic he felt he was born to wield. Becomes a powerful Sorcerer, wearing Heavy Armour while he and his Atronach fling Fireballs at his adversaries. Has somewhat of a dark streak due to a massive chip on his shoulder, and is willing to break his morals to further his magical skills.

Gorlas:
A retired Breton Witch Hunter travels to Skyrim, in the hope of setting up a business and leaving his past behind him. Although not particularly old, he appears tired and worn out from numerous battles against dark forces in High Rock and Hammerfell. Gorlas believes he may finally have a chance at normal life, until the Vampires begin ransacking and slaughtering villages full of people. Initially tries to distance himself, but soon realises he must help, and joins the Dawnguard. Trained in an unconvential way, he predominantly uses Bound Weapons and Mage Armour spells, with which he gradually regains his former expertise after a lack of practice. An Elite Archer, Gorlas can strike the cold heart of a vampire at a hundred paces, but is rarely boastful of his abilities. After assisting the Dawnguard, he renews his work as an eliminator of the dark arts, realising he still has a lot left to give, and a duty to the citizens of his new home.

Kalib:
Son of a famed Redguard adventurer, Kalib's father sends him to Skyrim to learn as his father did - by exploring. Makes his way to the frozen province, cutting wood and farming to feed himself, and does the same in Skyrim until he feels he is ready to strike out alone. Wielding his father's Scimitar, and wearing his traditional Hammerfell Garb, he slashes and burns his way through evil spirits and wicked people, while his youthful body is protected by magical protection, turning his dark skin to Ebony. Fights to preserve the sun and improve his skills by cutting through those who would wish harm on the innocent, be it thieves, Draugr, evil mages, etc.

Qa'Raasha:
As his title "Qa" suggests, he is unknown. Thought to have been born during the Void Nights, this Khajiit is believed to have been trained by the Thalmor in secret since his birth. Rumours abound that he has spent millennia learning and killing in the black depths of Oblivion only to be brought back to this time, but nobody knows for sure. He is the epitome of a Shadowmage, silent as the snow, and black as night, turning his enemies into raging madmen or whimpering children before striking down those that remain with powerful Destruction magic cast from the darkest shadows. Few claim to have seen him, but those who do say his eyes bear the look of another world, of ferocity, of pain, of death. It is said that those who see him smile, die with that image still in their eyes.

Ilas-Jah:
This Argonian is a typical "cheeky chappy," often getting into mischief and finding out things he probably shouldn't. The son of a powerful Morrowind slaver, Ilas-Jah wanted no part in the trading of lives for coin, so was thrown out of the family and travelled west. After receiving a less than warm welcome in Windhelm, he travelled to Riften, where he worked at the docks for a while. Ilas-Jah led a modest but decent enough life, but he was bored. Hearing the Nords share the old legends of their ancestors stoked something in Ilas-Jah, and he decided to become a traveller, a treasure hunter of sorts. So he left Riften, and looked for anything which took his interest. It soon became clear that he was no typcial "mighty adventurer," preferring instead to scavenge from what had already been left. After making a friend in Derkeethus, they loot shipwrecks and steal from unsuspecting bandits, but never do anything "wrong". His main skills are Alchemy, Sneak and Archery.

Do'Jhaara
A self-proclaimed "Khajiit hero," Do'Jhaara certainly has a sense of humour. This Elsweyr native has travelled far and wide in search of adventure, and has found plenty! Skyrim is where he hopes he will really learn the skills it takes to be a great warrior, and earn some great coin. Although the Khajiit generally aren't allowed in cities, after performing bounty contracts in each hold he has gradually won some limited trust from the Jarls, enough to at least be allowed to stay one night when he and his new brother Kharjo return from a successful bounty. Do'Jhaara is actually pretty impressive in battle, wielding two slim swords expertly and deflecting any blows he receives with his mismatched armour. He is deceptively agile in combat, able to tuck into a forward roll to escape punishing blows. In addition, he has a decent command over Alteration and Restoration magic, and is also quite skilled with a bow.

Herbane:
The famed author of the Herbane's Bestiary series, this stout Nord shies away from no challenge, hence why he is back in action. Some young warriors had poked fun at Herbane at the inn for a few nights, teasing him with old-man jokes and jibes. Herbane had heard enough, and told them he was coming out of retirement and intended on continuing his book series. He squeezed his slightly tubby frame back into his trusty old armour, and set off north, back to the snowy land where he made his name. As in the books, Herbane continues to wield his Sword and Shield, while wearing his armour of Steel and Scaled materials. He renews his diary and writings, and eventually heads to the Bard's College to sell his works, including his final-ever piece, Herbane's Bestiary: Dragons.

Avran Sarethi:
This Dunmer travels to Skyrim after giving up hope for his homeland, and moves to rejoin his family at their farm near Ivarstead. Avran has modest skills as a hunter, and provides meats and pelts for the family, as well as selling their excess in return for good food and alchemical ingredients from Riften. Arvan's main passion is Alchemy, a trade which runs in the family, and he remembers old Sinderion's visits. He hopes to one day find the Altmer who stoked his enthusiasm for creating potions, and eventually sets out on his own for some adventure.

Elros:
This Bosmer has grown up to be one bad son-of-a-Horker. After his parents were mercilessly killed by a group of over-zealous Imperial Legionnaires for suspected Thalmor cooperation, Elros left Skyrim to hone his skills as an archer and assassin. His whole life has been geared towards revenge for his family, and he has spent almost three decades moving from bandit clan to bandit clan. He now feels the time is right to start his endeavours against the Empire in Skyrim. He refuses to join the Stormcloaks, after hearing stories of their racism, but follows their aim of ridding Skyrim of every Imperial Soldier possible, by blood. Elros travels between villages and cities, doing meaningless work like chopping wood or going on raids of his own, be it on bandits or civilians. Eventually he joins up with the Thieves Guild, but sees their no-killing approach as soft, so decides to seek out the Dark Brotherhood. He quickly rises up the ranks, and eventually gets the job of a lifetime. (Credit to kyleekay for a lot of the ideas on this build)

Cilirmo:
An old Altmer, dedicated to research of the past, and it's usefulness in modern Tamriel. After researching the Ayleids, the Aedra, and many more, Cilirmo has finally decided to make the Dwarves and Ancient Nords his point of interest. The technology of the Dwemer and the ancient magic of the Nords have always fascinated Cilirmo (including the connected fate of the Falmer as a result), but circumstances had made this part of Tamriel slightly less accommodating over the last few decades. He can hold himself no longer though, and will endure any hardship necessary to reveal the secrets of these mysterious peoples. Although not particularly skilled in direct combat, Cilirmo almost has a sixth sense for danger when rummaging through tombs, as a result of centuries of experience. That is not to say he is unable to handle himself in a fight, in fact his skills with Alteration and Illusion often make him an essential part of exploration teams. He loves to read and research, and often his biggest burden is the sheer number of books and interesting finds he wishes to carry with him at all times.

Harald:
A Breton, named after a great Nord King, had turned out to be a bit of a disappointment to his parents. Although by no means weak, Harald is never going to be the bellowing master of war his Nordic father wished for. He is however, one of the best couriers in Tamriel, although few know of him in Skyrim as he has plied his trade in Cyrodiil for the past few years. Lithe and agile, Harald probably could have made a decent archer had his parents not given up on him early, but he uses his body to his advantage to quickly cross the landscape since his precious horse died at the hands of bandits. Harald is willing to take any delivery job, no matter how small, and his willingness to complete jobs of a slightly more "questionable" nature has got him into a spot of bother more than once. Thankfully, he has picked up enough experience on his travels to defend himself with a simple steel sword, a weak fire spell, and his faithful familiar. If needs be, he can also use the most basic of Alteration and Restoration spells to back up the resilience his sturdy leather boots and gloves afford him.

Kenson of Wayrest:
A strong, noble house needs strong and noble guardians, which is just what Kenson's family has been for many decades. A line of mixed Redguard and Breton blood had guarded one of the most prestigious families of Wayrest with pride and honour, and Kenson did the same. However, that was only until it was revealed the noble family had been party to some rather sinister goings-on and the whole family had been imprisoned, including Kenson. Trained by his father and their stewards since childhood and beyond, Kenson is a typical Paladin. Well-versed in arts of combat, he is accustomed to using fine swords and strong armour blessed with Alteration spells, and using Restorative magic on any wounded. After a court intrigue, Kenson was found innocent of any wrongdoing while the devious nobles hung from the city walls, but the man could not stand the sight of High Rock any more. All the people and places he had fought for and respected had turned out to be nothing but lies and espionage, so he travelled east. He eventually becomes part of the Dawnguard, after proving himself by working as a noble bounty hunter and mercenary. His aim is to preserve life, and prevent the unnecessary death or suffering of innocents.

This took me hours, but it was totally worth it :p

Toza, a khajiit thief/assassin, in the vein of a mighty hunter of the most dangerous of game, both wild and civilized, and sometimes just tricky treasures to obtain. My first, gotta do as much as potentially makes sense character.

Waldulf the Furious, a nord sword-and-board. Dragonborn, Harbinger, and Stormcloak hero, plans to one day challenge Ulfric as High King.

Cronach gro-Lothan, my most developed RP and current character. An orc from the stronghold of Lothan Pugh in Orsinium, sent away by his father to become worthy after a failed bid to become chief. He wields a mighty war hammer, sympathizes with the Imperials, and pursues honor and glory above else, preferably in the bloodiest way possible. Has a soft spot for parents of warriors and will attempt to aid them if he can, but won't indulge in dishonorable actions for them. Has been marked by Malacath as an orc of interest, and tried the companions, but refuses to accept the curse of hircine and so has been ostracized by the group. Current major goals include tracking down the Aetherium forge to craft something that is the stuff of legends and proving his honor and worth enough to win the hand of Borgakh the Steel Heart, despite not being the chief of a hold... yet. His adventures continue, though the quest for the Aetherium Forge has hit a snag (damned locked doors with no other way around); maybe it's time he does something about that upstart jarl...

Skulli

Is that fur coming out of your ears?
Mine are listed below but I have another 5-6 alts I tinker with, most are stealthies with names like Nikkita, Natasha, Icerazor, etc. and an orc of each gender with earlier Elder Scroll orc NPC names.

I guess i got bored so i wanted to see if people have interesting names for their skyrim character.
I am a high elf and my name is Voldemort, because after i finish the main quest and take the armor of the general of the empire, i plan to start Harry Potter and Voldemort's rise with no Harry Potter to stop me. I am going to kill everyone in Skyrim. So everybody Aveda-cuda-bra.

I love the Voldemort idea :)

My Dark Elf is named Tally-Wa. Her name is based on the main character of the dystopic fiction series, The Uglies. She doesn't really have a backstory or anything, and I don't RP her. I just use her to get a feel for parts of the game I'm unfamiliar with.

My Khajiit is named Dar'Ajira. You can read about her here: kyleekay's blog | Skyrim Forums. I chose her name using help from AS88 and the UESP Wiki site, because I wanted it to be true to lore. "Dar" means clever/thief, and she's a thief/assassin character. I find using that prefix helps me stay in character when I RP her.

My Breton is named Elyzona, which is also a lore-friendly name. She is a SpellSword (Dagger + Conjuration) and a lot of fun to play. She is avenging the death of her lover, Sor, as he died in the Civil War (I RP that the Civil War is over).

Saozig

Hippy
--Lìr don Ùr - Imperial. "Lear of the New" in Gaelic.

--Sèonaid Liath - Breton. "Light-haired Janet" in Gaelic

--Airigeil Ruadh - Wood Elf. "Red-haired Aragail" in Gaelic

--Saozig ar Wenn - Breton. Misspelling of the (real life) Breton name "Soazig" that stuck. Means "Soazig the White" in Breton.

--Saozig a' Dhubh - Breton. "a' Dhubh" means "the Black" in Gaelic.

--Eiron - Wood Elf. "Eiron" is a Greek term for a type of character that is the foil for braggarts or pompous characters in a Greek play. Comes from the same Greek root as "Irony".

--Tareth Farr - Dark Elf. Just a name I made up.

--Faizah Mavi - Redguard. "Faizah" is a Swahili name that means "victorious" and "Mavi" is a variation of the Swahili word "mvi" that means "gray" or "gray-haired"

--Aliziq - Khajiit. Another name I just made up.

--Xirelion - High Elf. I like the name "Nurelion" (the cranky, dying Altmer alchemist in Windhelm) so I came up with something that sounded like it.

--Oillteil the Fated - Orc. "Oillteil" means "dreadful" in Gaelic. Oddly, it's a fun word to say.

--Skjara Wind-Strider - Nord. Just variations on Nord names already used in TES.

--Raphael Lezoux - Breton. "Raphael" is the name of my favorite French pop singer, and "Lezoux" is the name of a French town that was originally a Celtic trading town.
