Missing creatures?

I have just noticed that there are no goblins, now the falmer are somewhat close i guess, but in oblivion wasn't there goblins? also i believe in oblivion there was a unicorn yet in skyrim there isn't, well none that i have found anyway, i know morrowind had a unicorn 2 if i remember.
