Joining the Thalmor

Is this possible in Skyrim? I'm guessing not because in all my 8 or so playthroughs (even when I was an Altmer) I've never run across a quest prompting me to do so. I just noticed some peoples sigs had "Thalmor 3rd emissary" and stuff like that and was just wondering if you could actually join up with them or if that was just you guys role playing with your characters.

It's just a role-playing thing, there is no way to join them in the game itself. Some people think there will be a DLC about it but, that's just rumors and guesses.

Thanks! That's pretty much what I figured. I've played through it so much I figured I would have come across it by now.

You could try to find some Thalmor robes and just wipe out all the stormcloaks with destruction magic, is probably a lot more fun.
