Quest Improving Gemstones and Extracting them from Jewelry

Is it possible to take a gemstone and improve it? Our characters can work different types of metals. We should be able to improve gemstones.

Also, our characters put gemstones into jewelry. It makes sense that we should be able to take them out.

You can't improve gemstones and you can't remove them from jewelry.
