So, I know this is kind of sad, but I'm out of town visiting my father, and I don't have my xbox to play Skyrim on. I want to play so damn bad and I miss by stupid Wood Elf character (can you tell that I need more friends? Probably.... Oh well.)
Soooo to save myself, please share your latest adventure on Skyrim. What did you just do today or the last time you played? Whether that be fighting a dragon, leveling a skill, a quest, something stupid, slaughtering a whole town, running into a glitch, discovering a new location, finally finding something you've been looking for, etc.
Share whatever it may be. Doesn't matter. I look forward to reading!
My Khajiit character had been traveling with Kharjo as of late. He was decked out in dragonplate armor and an ebony helmet, and I in my Nightingale armor and Krosis mask. So we looked pretty badass. I decided it was time to go it alone for a while, so last night I dismissed Kharjo. I figured it would be a good time to do one of my first Dark Brotherhood contracts, which I'd received a few days prior.
I headed to Dawnstar and had fun with Beitild. I pickpocketed her key from her while she was walking to her mine, then waited for her to go to sleep, entered her house and killed her in her bed.
After that I went to Solitude to steal an amethyst from somebody for the Thieves Guild. I noticed the "Lights Out" quest was still in my journal so I decided to finish it. Put out the lighthouse fire, killed the Argonians, yada yada yada, (just watched that Seinfeld episode last night), got some loot.
My general plan for the next little bit of time is to start the Dawnguard quest, and once I finish it, to cure my Lycanthropy. I figure might as well keep the vampirism resistance while I'm fighting vampires. I'm also thinking about using Jordis as a follower for a bit, I just recently purchased Proudspire Manor.
Also, I just got my Enchanting to 100 and got the "Extra Effect" perk. So far I've made an Ebony Bow with Paralyze and Chaos Damage. I'm excited to do some necklaces and things with multiple enchantments. It will be hard to stop me then!
I started Dawnguard and went through the place where you discover Serana, so she's now following me, waiting for me to bring her back home. I made a stop in Dawnstar to finally start the "visit the museum in Dawnstar" quest, then headed back to Proudspire Manor to stash my loot from the dungeon. I decided to go ahead with the Civil War storyline, I had sided with the Imperials but hadn't started the Jagged Crown quest yet.
Has anyone else tried to do the Jagged Crown quest while Serana is following you? I kept having to save and re-start because she would occasionally accidentally hit one of the Imperial soldiers with her magic and then they would start fighting. Since Legate Rikke apparently can't die it seemed to create an endless fighting loop. I tried having her wait behind but she will only stay back so much. When fighting starts she wants blood. A couple of times I was physically restraining her from moving (standing in the way) while the Imperials took care of the Stormcloaks. It took a little bit of doing, but I finally made it through without any friendly fire incidents.
Later, I found myself in Riften doing some things when I decided it was time to Level Up my pickpocketing. I've hardly used it at all so it was at like level 34 or something. I wanted to get it up to 50 so I can get the "extra pockets" perk. I had some enchanted apparel with pickpocketing bonuses so I donned it and went to work. I walked around the market lifting gems from people, and my pickpocketing skill was rocketing up like mad! I think I was around 60 by the time I stopped, and it didn't take much time at all.
Then I went down to the Ragged Flagon to sell off some of the loot, and figured I'd see what the thieves guild members had to steal. Well, I found out something interesting - when the TG members catch you pickpocketing, they don't turn hostile! At least for my character, I've finished most of the TG quests. So it's a good place to practice pickpocketing.
At this point I'm not sure if I want to drop Serana off, or keep her for a while and do other things. I'm considering heading back to Solstheim for a while, I've only explored it a little bit.
