The Scale
I know many games that have the, "hardware cursor" feature.
This game could really benefit from it.
I would like all information about mouse settings besides mine and if there is already a hardware cursor feature please tell me.
I dont have any mouse problems outside bethesda games....Fallout also is same with mouse problems.(I know, I know, Its optimized for the controller, which i own, Mouse FTW....)
I have a laggy cursor/crosshair on Skyrim and i want any help towards fixing it
Here is what i know already.
Windows mouse fixes ---------------------------
open start menu, in the bottom left, type mouse, press enter, the pointer options tab, change settings to
remember mouse speed, pointer precision - unchecked.
If you want no mouse acceleration by default in windows entirely, this works for most.
Windows Mouse Things: The MarkC Windows 7 Mouse Acceleration Fix
If you have a mouse with low DPI, unlike my Razor Naga mouse, then the mouse will probably be have a low grid feeling where the cursor will jump from 1 dot to another. If so then lower ingame look sensitivity or windows mouse settings.
Skyrim mouse settings ---------------------------------
Delete /documents/mygames/skyrim/skyrimprefs.ini
Open Skyrim, Skyrim will make a new file and reset your settings again.
If you still have mouse problems after retrying skyrim and not messing with any settings, then enter this in the /documents/mygames/skyrim/skyrimprefs.ini
Remove
bMouseHeadingSensitivity
Place these next to where the other was deleted
fMouseHeadingYScale=0.0100
fMouseHeadingXScale=0.0100
Alter these settings;
bMouseAcceleration=0
iPresentInterval=0 <---- This is vsync
Then after you are done, open Skyrim check the mouse feel, if its weird or too fast then, change ingame look sensitivity to something else.
If windows text file feels like junk.
I use Notepad++
Notepad++ Home
Then you can right click on any file and read its contents...
If Skyrim is still laggy or weird...then your then i still dont have much help i still have mouse laggyness..
I have fully updated Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit
AMD quad core 1.5ghz, 4GB ram (gave 2 GB to my bro )
Razor naga mouse (definitly not worth $79.99 my other $10 mouse is way better)
Updated skyrim to 8...or 9... idk..
FPS background booster from nexus (I do not notice anything different, maybe i have less stuttering if even, from booster)
I have all other programs in the background turned off.
I have headphone audio set to 192000hz (I know unneeded but so... juicy)
This thread is me, asking for help on hardware cursor settings and such.
Thank you all for any help.
