I noticed that in one of the loading screens, it says the Dwemer are presumed extinct. So one can only wonder if in a future elder scrolls game the Dwemer will come back. What are your thoughts on this?

I am under the assumption that it would have it pros and cons.
Pros:
Get your hands on some sweet Dwemer tech
Maybe become a dwemer in the next game
See all of those Dwemer cites burst into life again all shiny and fixed
Cons:
Maybe still got there grudge against the Nords for invading Morrowind
Steam rolling other races in wars with their Automatons (I shudder at the thought of facing off against an army of Centurions)
