I wish the dungeon respawning would happen much faster than it is (if at all) now. I'm on day 7, I'm purposely resting to see/find out when some of the dungeon's I've cleared will respawn baddies.

And while resting at home, etc., LOL I wish the countdown wasn't so slow

The lack of respawn is one of the most annoying parts of Skyrim, it breaks entire guild quest lines. Simple fix would be programming a location to respawn if a quest sends the player there, in fact I've cried about this in the past...

*The dragon hunting troop of Blades approach icy Mount Anthor with the sole objective to rid Skyrim of yet another serpent beast.*

Dovahkiin: "Dang, not again..."
Imperial: "Hm, that quest marker is either pointing to an invisible dragon or I've drank too much mead."
Nord: "This is what we get for following a spell caster!"
Khajiit: "The wind blows bitter cold in this place."
Imperial: "Sooooo guys we came here for nothing then?"
Dovahkiin: "For Akatosh sake please make locations respawn enemies if a quest sends me there!"
Nord: "Dirty elf must have been killing monsters which he didn't have a quest for!"
Imperial: "I blame the Thalmor."
Khajiit: "There might be gold here."

*Fus Ro Dahs everyone off the cliff face then jumps.*

I know that I've been to some dungeons and cleared them out, got the "cleared" indicator and been sent back to the place (not right away though) to kill some bandit leader, and most of the time there's been three or four enemies to deal with, although I don't remember if all the enemies respawn. I've gone to places with dragon priests to get their mask and been sent back for some quest. There's a priest but it's no named like the ones with masks.

everything does respawn. someone said 30 days but im not sure. there might not be as many baddies but the loot respawns as well. since your already waiting could you wait 30 days and confirm the timeline for us?

Totally have to agree with you on this one... have been sent back to Shearpoint so many times I gave up and took my follower there and killed Krosis and got the Throw Voice shout and have not gone back to the blades since.

I've seen locations respawn and I wasn't on a quest at the time. I've also robbed Arcadia's Cauldron and eventually her stuff will respawn as well so I'm sure it applies to other places as well.

I know I got caught off guard a few times when I fast traveled to somewhere I had cleared (and it said such on my map) only to get attacked just after the area loaded. I vividly recall this on some of the places that are such and such "pass" so I wonder if respawn is different for "outdoor" locations. Or maybe I had gotten some miscellaneous quest I didn't realize that triggered monsters to show up again. I lost track of all those 'go kill the baddie in some obscure place' quests.

Yeah I do believe outdoor locations respawn much quicker... May have been around a week or so...

So has anyone done an (un)official time study to find out how long it takes for an area to respawn and if it's different for indoor or outdoor locations? Does it matter where you wait? If I hole up in Breezehome for a month will everything outside reset, including Whiterun?

It would seem that ore respawns at a different rate than monsters. I thought everything would reset at once but not so. I'd love to see a definitive chart so I would know exactly when I could go back.

Here's my issue: when a site is supposed to "respawn after 30 days in-game time", does that mean 30 days according to the Skyrim calendar, or according to the Gregorian calendar we use in the real world? For example, having just cleared Blackreach, should I wait until the 3rd of Frostfall to return, or the 19th of March? "In-game time" is just not clear to me.

I thought "in-game" was pretty clear.
Maybe I'm the fool but I'm sure in-game time means the time system that exists in the game.

No, you're not a fool -- at least, not any more than I am. I waited 30 days in-game (3rd Frostfall). Nothing had respawned. That is why I'm confused.
