Discovering 4th Use of Ingredients

Hello,

I am trying to make a fortify smithing potion, (trying to make overpowered swords) and the ingredients I need all have uses I have not discovered yet. For instance, Blisterwort. Fortify Smithing is the fourth use on that ingredient, and I don't know how to discover it.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

the only way, as far as i know, is to get the perk in the skill tree

that would be the Experimenter perk. it allows you to reveal all 4 uses upon consumption of an ingredient.

I too have a similar issue, Fortify Smithing recipe is particularly elusive.

All you need is a combination of 2 or 3 of the following ingredients to make a Fortify Smithing potion... Blisterwort, Glowing Mushroom, Sabre Cat Tooth, Spriggan Sap. It might help to invest in the Alchemy Tree to produce a better potion.
