close the rapture?

I have been to this spot about 20 time since itfirst showed up on my quests, and I can not find anything to do, what am I missing?

its in the aftershock quest, and your supposed to have the staff of magnus, I seen it done on youtube, but when I get there its just a snow toppped hill, nothin goin on, I tried waiting till dusk and dawn, I've tried to clear places in the area in case there was something else I need, just wondering ifI've missed something or I have a serious glitch.....I dunno

i can't offer any help since I haven't gotten that far.
However, might I suggest going to the UESP site and looking up that quest? They usually have quest glitches listed, so try to find yours.

Are you sure you're in the right place, with the quest marker enabled? Because approaching the rapture should spawn several magical anomalies. Hate those things, killed my Lydia >.<

Make sure the quest is active in your journal. Also, press the "show on map" feature and see if you are anywhere in the vicinity of the arrow.

to close the rupture you need the staff of magus.
shoot it once with the staff and orbs come out.
kill orbs
rupture closes.

yep quest is active , I've stood on and looked down at the arrow leading me to the spot, saw the video on youtube, just aint nothing happening on my game, don't know whats goin on, thanks anyway everyone, just gonna leave it maybe it'll pop up later

I'm trying to remember where the rapture showed up... I think, for me anyway, it showed up in the middle of the river, east of Ivrstead. It was only a few glowy wisps, kind of like a Spriggan when it goes invisible(ish).
Was almost hard to find if it weren't for the marker.
If you were at the spot, and had the staff of magus, try using the staff in the direction of the arrow.
Once I did that, three little glowy orbs popped out, like in the battle at winterhold.

On my quest marker its always shown up just northeast of frostmere crypt and just southeast of Mzinchaleft, again I dunno thanks for the help all
