So I've completed my second playthrough of Mass Effect and am into the first third of my second playthrough of Mass Effect 2. This time as a soldier. I've got to say, it's a lot more fun than I thought it would be. After being a sentinel and having 6 different buttons to mash while waiting for my pistol to cool it's a lot of fun to just blow people away with an assault rifle. After using one in ME3, I just had to keep it, you know? I also love what high explosive rounds due to shotguns and sniper rifles. People just explode when you shoot them.
Now that I'm back in Mass Effect 2, the soldier's gotten so much better. Best thing since the ME2 sentinel. Adrenaline Rush is basically SlowMo fro F.E.A.R and I crapped my pants when I found that out. Hiding behind cover, getting out my mantis sniper rifle with disruptor ammo for mechs or incindiary ammo for everything else, hitting adrenaline rush, watching everything slow down as I take the shot and then BLAM! The loki mech's head flies off or the Eclipse mercenary falls to the ground dead. Sexiest feeling ever.
I'm looking forward to getting into Mass Effect 3 again and I'm excited to do a vanguard for my next playthrough. I'm sad to say however that I don't think I'm going to do Mass Effect again. It's a hard game to go back to after Mass Effect 3 and the change from Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2 is so big, so jarring, that they've got almost nothing in common. Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 are very similar games and the transition between the two is seamless. It's just a nicer way to play I feel. It just feels better.
As for business here, I'd like to see Marek get a post up but if he doesn't want to I can post an RE: to everybody. We can get this moving quickly enough. Also do you guys have any interest in reviving Sid's old post ME3 roleplay? We talked about that earlier.
