Xbox 360 Can't find Sam Guevenne

I had the same problem and I checked every tavern and then I checked them again and I finally found him. Little stupid, but I got my trophy! : D Check all of them again and if you don't find him... : ( Then I think there is nothing you can do. I was something like level 55 when I started to look for him.

I was in Riverwood when I turned level 14. When I go into the Sleeping Giant Inn I can here his voice, but cannot see him. HELP! I have gone back several times with the same result. I have even saved and reloaded without finding him.
