Barbarian Armour and Weapons

What armour and weapons would look good on a Barbarian?

For weapons i'm thinking skyforge steel and ancient nord?

But i'm not sure about armour though, suggestions?

Only ingame weapon ands armour? For Mods, there are a couple of them that really suit Barbarian style.

Ancient nord does have a problem on the male version (not sure about the female) around the leg area. When in 3rd person the players legs go through the back of the leggings.

I'm not sure if it would be any help but as part of DB you can be assigned a 'beautiful barbarian', could give you some ideas for clothes.

The topless fur armor (light armor)
The horned helm (heavy armor) - you can get one below Helgen right before the bear.
The unique hide boots (has muffle)
Banded shield
Fur bracers.


My nord looked pretty Conanish wearing these.

My wood elf wears Forsworn. No helmet. Forsworn helmet look stupid. A Mage hood looks good though.


Fur, hide, iron can get just as high in armor points as the good stuff.
