My horses keep dying because I try to jump over waterfalls and off rocks. I always survive but my poor horse never does.

And I steal every cabbage I come across. And I waste my arrows because I shoot a deer once, it runs away, then I chase after it and lose it XP

I have a habit of stealing things. Ever since morrowind I usually clean out every store or house I go into.

It's like when my cursor turns red, it's just DARING me to take it.

The other day I accidentally got caught stealing and the shopkeeper was like "Well you could have just asked!"

It was a bit awkward, but did not deterr me from going upstairs and stealing some giants toes.

Bad habit of not paying attention to details. Had 14 Shouts and only 3 unlocked because I never noticed there was an "Unlock Shout" button. Kept killing dragons and wondering when these darn shouts would be unlocked already! Wife pointed it out to me then asked if I had taken an arrow to the brain.

HAHA, I did this same exact thing on my first character. I couldn't figure out why, when I selected the shouts it kept saying I needed dragon souls and I looked at my dragon soul count and I had plenty to use...
then I finally noticed the unlock button, but not for a few weeks.

That is, sadly, one of the bummers of this game. That being the chests with the harder locks, experts and masters, might only have a few gold in them. I get so frustrated when I spend time and lockpicks on one of those chests only to be so badly rewarded.

I don't fast travel, so usually when I get to a new town my inventory is full from things I pick up along my journey. I tend to make a bee line for the nearest weapon shop as soon as I get to the city to unload my inventory and ignore npcs standing in the roads looking to talk. Or when they have two NPCs arguing or engaging a conversation you're obviously supposed to eaves drop on, some times I just don't bother. I probably miss out on some quests, but most of the time I'm just not in the mood to listen to 5 npcs before I can walk 10 feet.
Oh and off topic, but I hate when the names of inns or taverns sound like weapon shops and vice versa. Haha some times it takes a fair bit of wandering to find that weapon shop.

How about playing Skyrim on XBox after playing some other game on PS3 and getting the buttons confused? A instead of X and so forth. Takes awhile to rewire the synapses.

Also picking my nose while playing.

^ haha... I got tired of listening to the that Priest of Talos in Whiterun going on and on and never shutting up, so, after months (in game too...) and with a maxed out sneak and archery (I'm lvl 57), I jumped up the roof of the hall of the dead and while hiddem shot him dead with one arrow.
No one complained... I swear I heard a cheer... lol
