Thanks for posting Smile. Now I'm ready to move on. For my next post I'll put Alice to bed, than transition to morning. We're entering Day 2 of the RP and the Exalted March starts in the "morning" (being what people approximate as morning since no one can see the sun.). I have an idea of how to set the scene but I wanted to check with you guys about how you want things to go. In an earlier post Blitzz had Gendrek and his Legion buddies talking about 10,000 surfacers already on Orzimmar and compared them to a giant flesh wall. I think those would be faithful commoners, mercenaries and soldiers that got here early, Templars and Chantry personnel. Lay members, affirmed Brothers and Sisters, Mothers and Revered Mothers and Clerics. The folks arriving the coming day would be the organized armies from the Andrastian nations. Ferelden, Orlais and Tevinter being the biggest three with the best trained and equipped armies. Antiva would be close behind with a haphazard but organized army under a coalition of trade princes. Little countries like Nevarre and the Free Marches would contribute small units that would probably march under the command of one of the bigger powers. Templars would come from all over Thedas and would be merged into a single unit.
The Mages I'm not quite sure about. Ferelden's Circle is obviously fully committed but other circles may not be. Some mages would be fine with participating in a holy war but others would resent or actively reject what they perceive as doing the Chantry's dirty work for them. I'm not sure what to do here. I also feel like the Dalish outside Ferelden would have no reason to join the March, although the Dalish in Ferelden would feel obliged.
Obviously the Grey Wardens would be the vanguard of the March and would come from all over Thedas and be organized into their own cohesive fighting force.
As for my actual post I was thinking I'd start with several lore characters convening at a huge camp on the surface to organize the huge army they've gathered, then have them parade everyone through Orzimmar in the morning. They'd set up their base of operations in Aeducan Thaig to avoid overcrowding Orzimmar and to give the Dwarves a buffer zone to encourage more support, while setting up a stable supply line between the two areas. I'd describe this in my post and then switch back to Peter and Alice. Have them get up, Alice and Selana most likely oversleeping, and try to move them into the commons where the big parade is going on. Everyone else could then post and have their own reactions to the spectacle. Then, once we've done that, the Divine gives a stirring speech, officially begins the March and we all go to Aeducan Thaig which becomes an Ostagar-style camp. We can do that whole character development and reacting to canon characters thing there.
A lot to take in at once but I'm trying to nail down a long term plan here. How does all that sound?
