God of the Arena
Dalious overlooked the valley below him. It was dark and endless, with a cool wind that softened his face. He was standing at the ledge of a tower, an arena pit below him, and was holding a letter he had just received from his former master Vesemir of Kaer Morhen. A few soldiers were fighting nekker warriors in the pit with an excited crowd cheering in the surrounding stands. It wasn't long before the nekker's overwhelmed the thieves and took them over, ending the fight by tearing off their flesh and feasting on them. It was gruesome, but this is where he chose to spend his free time.
The witchers were all mainly disbanded and it was a time of war between Nilfguard and Remania. The most famed of them all, Geralt of Rivia, was somewhere in the north looking for another named Ciri. Dalious preferred not to get involved in such things, so he wasted his talents at the arenas, earning what coin he could. It was his way of life, though this letter would change all of that.
He opened the paper up and read it. It was an invitation back to his old school at Kaer Morhen, school of the wolf. It explained that another school, the school of the cat, was inhabited by a group of rouge witcher assassins, all psychopaths that lost their way. They abused their talents, and during this time of war, were becoming a much larger menace than previously. Vesemir explained that they needed to be put down. This letter had copies, each sent out to known witchers across the valley, urging them to help cleanse the assassins. They were the only ones who could.
