Menro was born out of wedlock, and was left out in the woods to die, for most bastards have no place in a house. His crying attracted a women who lived and took care of the forest and animals, and he was raised by her. She taught him everything she knew from hunting, tracking, knowing animals, and killing. Later in life she told him that she was once an assassin that took to exile because she has seen and shed too much blood. This made him interested in the order where she came. He decided to ask her when the time was right.
One night when he slept, he could smell smoke coming from his mother's shack. He ran and ran as fast as his legs could take him. When he arrived, a fire took the shack that his guardian slept in, and a man walking away from it. Being taught never to go to a dangerous place and risk being spotted he tracked the man down to avenge the death of the one person who loved him. Eventually, he found the man and his house, then sneaked in. Reaching for his curved blade, he held his hand over the man's mouth and quickly slashed his throat, blood spraying as the heart kept beating. He watched the life slip from the eyes, and the body slowly stopping the fighting. He had avenged his loss, and went back to his home to sleep. During the night, he was awaken by a hooded figure and promised a new home with a new family that does the same thing he did to the man. Remembering the feeling, Menro agreed, and was taken away to join his new family.
