Say, Kir, is the left path literally dark and terrible and the only way to the Archon, or... what? I was kind of confused by the portals, considering that the general feeling seems to be that the group will regroup and learn what's happened in the time that has passed, then go after Yirim. So, where exactly does the left path lead? And just a suggestion, depending on what your plans are for the immediate future, but what if everyone went somewhere different in the right portal and then planned to meet up after they were ready? Kvothe could call them in their sleep again.

Good question. I was under the impression it was the left portal or leave the story. But That ^ as well as Valin's post open up some different possibilities.

I ask because while Astius hates Yirim, he would not go on a definite suicide mission off the bat. (He wouldn't go at all, but that's why his being able to return home would help, because in that time he could believe that it wasn't suicide.)

Yes, i thought that the left path was like a time where you could face your fears as prep for facing the archon.

I thought it was just a portal to allow the people that wanted to follow Kvothe; follow him. Whereas the right side is simply a portal that takes you away from the group and each other.

The left is basically to directly follow Kvothe on his hunt for information and Yirim. The right is either a way out if anyone wants to duck out but I like what you suggested. You could always go off on your own for a few posts and then he calls you back or you try and find him after an epiphany lol

Okay, well I'm going to have Astius head to his home and I'll write a couple posts there until a good time to bring him back to the group arises.

I'll write a post once I decide what I want Lyanna to do. Most like she'll stick with Titus, whatever Simus decides to do.

Alive will want to go home to Whiterun. Titus will want to stick with Kvothe out of fear of going home but Alice will be able to convince him. They could gather resources and friends in the city, especially with Alice's status as a legion officer and Titus being a Companion.

Majir-Dar will just follow Kvothe. "Knowledge that no mortal should ever know" will attract him like a Victoria Secret model attracts... well... everyone. I mean, is there anyone that doesn't like a Victoria Secret model.

Anyway, got a little off topic there. Majir-Dar is going with Kvothe.
