Lynda Carter, most famously known as Wonder Woman from the 1970's TV series of the same name, lent her voice to a character in Fallout 4, Bethesda revealed today. She plays Magnolia, a bar owner and singer who performs five songs in the game -- so we will also hear her sing. (Carter has been releasing albums for a long time.)

According to Carter, Magnolia's bar is in the center of town and she plays a major role in the post-apocalyptic community. "She knows who the players are. She's a great judge of character. She's really, really smart. And she does what she does because she loves it. So this is a safe place for her too."

This is not Carter's first role in a video game; her voice has appeared in several Elder Scrolls titles. She actually has a familial connection to Bethesda Games: her husband, Robert A. Altman, is the CEO of ZeniMax Media, which also owns Bethesda. So you could look at this casting choice as more nepotism than fanservice.

Fallout 4 launches in eight days for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC.
