We're mere days away from the release of Projekt Red's anticipated RPG Witcher 3. It's gained over one million preorders already. Review sites across the Web are singing 9-point praises for it, though the real acid test will be if Angry Joe plays it and doesn't hate it. (One unnecessary DLC pack and the game will have lost.)

It's well-known by now that the Playstation 4 version of the game will be the superior one, at least from a certain snobby graphics-elite crowd, because it will run at 1080p, while the XBox One version will display the same graphics but at 900p at best. That's what we know, but Projekt Red is trying to change that.

Red added something to Witcher 3 right before it went gold that, they hope, will help public perception of the XBox version: dynamic scaling. That means the game will display at 1080p WHEN the processor allows the power for it. If you're looking over a cliff at a miles-wide view, it will probably be in 900p, but if the Witcher is standing against a flat wall, then things will be 100% crisp.

This likely won't do much to satisfy the scoffers. My advice is to get over yourself, live with a few slightly larger pixels, and have a good time. Witcher 3 comes out for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC May 19th.
