Because there are so many character journals out there, I thought I would make a thread to find out everyone's motivations for doing so. This can be what got you to actually start the journal, or your motivations for why you write, or both. I personally do it because it makes me think about my character's past, both before and during the game's time, and it is an interesting challenge to write descriptively about the character's senses that I cannot access. What does it feel like to use the Voice? How does an ancient tomb smell? I also like to see when people enjoy my writing. What actually caused me to start my journal was BIGwooly's Hrisskar III.
