Who feels guilty for killing a dragon?

So, I was recently on a Companions quest, which took me into a passage just beneath a dragon's roost. Came up on the dragon while sleeping, shoot it with an arrow, and then dragon rend it while it tries to fly away. Next thing I know, I'm standing at the center of a tier, at the top of a long flight of steps. The dragon twists around in the air, smashes into the rock wall and then again into the top step, and grinds across the ground toward me. It was surreal, like one of those runaway locomotive scenes. I wound up feeling a little guilty afterward, it was so pathetic.

It's pretty well established that all dragons are naturally assholes. Even Paarthurnaxhad to struggle for years against his inherently malevolent nature.

Odavhiing's an opportunistic schemer who only lent his aid to the dragonborn when it became abundantly clear that Alduin would be defeated. Durnehviir was so tormented and decayed, he'd agree to just about anything for even a moments respite from the flesh-leaching prison of the soul cairn.

So no. I don't feel bad. They're universally evil, creatures brought back to life by Alduin to aid him in bringing about the end-times. If it was sleeping, it was no doubt dreaming about enslaving and devouring man and mer alike.

I had one die and slide down the side of a mountain as its skin and muscle melted away, once. Its giant rubbery skeleton ended up stuck in some trees!

No, because they killed Maurice as I was escorting him to the Eldergleam Sanctuary and thus, I had to kill some really angry spriggans. Plus, they give me their bones and scales so I can sell them.
You mess with Maurice and you get an angry Orc running after dragons ready to make dragon steaks.

Just in time for the fiyahworks show! BOOM!
As a dragon lover, I always feel bad for taking one down. Then again, the dragons in Skyrim look more like Wyverns than Dragons.

Not the Dragonborn - A very naughty boy!
As much as I love dragons,I don't feel bad because my moral code,in both real life and Skyrim is this :
If something attacks me,I attack it back. With a sword made from the bones of it's family and/or a crossbow.

... so no.

Okay, at first I was pissed a little about that, but then I talked with Paarthurnax and saw this load screen, and learned a bit more about the lore.

I AM still pissed that dragons are basically just a tough enemy in the game, and I wish there was more to them as I noted in my article so long ago.

I also have... 4-6 dragon mods on now that I'm playing on PC, so every time I go exploring I tend to meet 2-10 dragons, so... they're like flies. Annoying big flies that spit fire and ice. XD

Don't they have those in Australia?

HAHAHA yes.

But in terms of this topic, no I don't really feel guilty because I think I've reached that point where I'm just sick of fighting them now because they always appear at the worst time. So I'd rather just kill them and get back to what I was doing.

Nope, because I let Parthurnaax live and he's making them peaceful now. Only the ones that deserve to die attack me. The good ones just fly around and are nice.

I dont feel guilty, i see them as annoying seagulls trying to steal my chips, and like the local seagulls down the beach, they get a swift swipe with a sword,

Dragons are no more or less evil than men or elves. Who are we to judge?

I always wonder if I'm just sneaking really well or if those dragons are stupid/glitched. XD

Hard to feel guilty. Whenever those Dragons swoop down it is kill or be killed. But there is one dragon that I would not kill and that is Parthurnaax.

And Odahviing. He may be a bit of a dick but I do like how he refuses to lie. He's headstrong but true to his word. I like that.
