Hey guys,
I saved up some money and plan to build a new gaming PC this summer (starting in August, probably). My current hardware is pretty outdated I'd say - Intel Core Quad CPU Q6600 and Radeon HD 5800.
You should know - I have no idea about hardware whatsoever, complete noob. That's why I'm asking for suggestions, I guess you guys know what you're running for your Skyrim, right?

Here's what I wanna do: The biggest games I'm playing are probably Skyrim and Dragon Age. Inquisition. Apart from those, I'm playing some smaller games and some stuff online, like Smite.
As for Skyrim, I have big plans for modding. Not necessarily all the stunning graphics mods in the world, but I'd really like to enhance some towns and cities, get some extra content etc. It'll be a rather large number of smaller mods.
I prefer to buy single parts instead of a complete gaming PC and ask my boyfriend to put it all together.
I'd like to see what I can buy with 500-600€, it'd really draw the line at about 900€.

So, any ideas and/or suggestions?
Thanks!

Some Intel I5 Cpu. AMD have more CORES per CPU but Intel has more power per Core and Skyrim dont use many cores.

Some Motherboard that is compatible for CPU you chose.

8 GB ram at least

For near 900 set from https://pcpartpicker.com/ http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XQFTgs
Choosing non K version can reduce price but You will lose Overlocking change.

Thanks! Wow, that's quite a lot to take in. I'll take some time soon to look into everything very closely.

As for the CPU, I think I'll stick to intel for the reasons you mentioned (and because literally everyone I talked to recommended I do), so no AMD version necessary! ;)

Case and power for previous. Youll lose Overclocking change. Cpu has less power (and cores)

Motherboard may need BIOS update Well

And I forgot ask, what framerate you want 30 or 60 FPS. If 30 FPS is enough, cheaper card can give it even graphical mods. But remember there is always power hungry mods, even GTX 980 ti will drop below 60 fps with right mods and settings.

For using multicore

But other softaware still needs cores. So I never say tha2 cores are good thing.
