All vampires will one day go to Molag Bol for... some very unpleasant times. He'll get their soul then. What I wonder is why no vampire has ever had these thoughts:

Vampire: 'When I die Molag Bol gets my soul. ... Maybe I should see about doing something about that. ... Hmmm... Maybe, destroying my soul? Yeah... That might work! Then he couldn't claim it at all.'

Why has no vampire decided to destroy their soul? And thus deny Molag Bol their soul. And without one, he couldn't corrupt their personality either.

Most vampires don't plan on dying. And unless Im mistaken, vampirism confers immortality, which means a smart vampire wouldn't be worried about Molag Bal getting their souls.

How would one go about destroying a soul? The closest someone could get, I think, would be to soul trap themselves. In which case their souls would go to the Ideal Masters, not Bal.

Vampirism does not confer Immortality. It confers aglessness. And some other perks too. Immortality means not being capable of dying. Vampires can die rather easily in the game. I think they would have sense enough to know that they could be killed rather easily. So they probably would be worried.

I'm not sure. But there must be a way to destroy one's soul. It can't be that difficult to do.

And once it's destroyed, the vampire can go about their unlife without having to worry about Molag Bol claiming them later.

The other thing with this is that without a soul, what would be left? Just a bloodthirsty corpse driven by its desires, or no desires at all.

The soul is what gives all people, dead or not, life, personality and soul. Without that it's not worth being immortal - no feelings, no emotions, no hopes, no dreams.

    From Elder Scrolls Wiki:

Soul Shriven are non-hostile characters located in The Wailing Prison. They are men, mer, and beastfolk of Nirn whose souls have been stripped by Molag Bal on purpose making them eternal will-less slaves in his plane of Oblivion, Coldharbour.

The only way to get their soul back is to cure their vampirism, and return to mortality.

Since it's a fictional setting it's up to the player, or author, to determine how that works for their playthrough or fic.

But since you asked, I gave you a referenced answer.

Obviously we're all free to play the game and create stories exactly as you want to, so I hope you enjoy whatever you decide.
