It's going to be his sister who comes to him under rather dubious circumstances and insists that she stays with him. He figures whatever and keeps an eye on her, expecting his family to come looking for her or something, but nothing ever happens. My original intention is for her to be assassinated by the big bad assassin we are all going to be hunting, with the reasons left ambiguous until we figure something more out to pin it on. She could be some sort of really young noble in secret, sure, but it's not really that big of a deal as long as the assassin kills her. It need not be a huge tie in to the major plot of the story, but I'm fine with it if you want to shape it into one.Sure. So, we need someone to die. Is the girl still going to be part of your background when you edit it, Gidian? Because if she dies and happens to be the daughter of a noble family, they'll put a contract out for her. From there, all of our characters could be recruited by the family into capturing the assassin.
EDIT: I can work a bit on fleshing out some of Argylle's aristocracy and create the said family while I'm at it.
