Watching the argonian take his leave and taking one last look around at the tavern as it quieted down, with people either settling into quiet conversation or heading home for the evening, Soric finished his drink, stood up and nodded to the orc that was to be his traveling companion. "Well, an early start dictates a good night's rest. I'll see you at first light."

He went about purchasing room for himself and was pleasantly surprised to find the furs covering the straw mattress seemed servicably clean. Disrobing, he covered himself, glad for the reprieve from the wind that he could faintly hear battering at the walls and windows of the Dead Mans' Drink.

“I understand.” Sinus said in response to Aliah’s commitment to save her sister. People were starting to head upstairs and get some rest for tomorrow. He certainly needed some. “You don’t have to explain to me the drive to save a family member. Just be grateful you won’t find your ten year old daughter in a vampire cage starving and with the rattles.” He smiled sadly. That was a memory he’d never be able to forget no matter how much he drank. After some dinner and another couple of drinks he said goodbye to his old companions and headed up to his room. It was cold up here but his belly was warm from food and drink and he was able to sleep. Staying that way was more of a challenge. He was worried about slowing the group down or worse, being an overbearing dinosaur. But he knew his job and he took orders well. All he had to do was rest.
