I need help because I hear about the fix where you go to hardware and select 44100 hz or something

BUT I HAVE WINDOWS XP AND IT'S COMPLETLY DIFFERENT!
WHAT THE HELL!

Have you read up on the guide for fixing sound on Windows 7? I'm sure it can be translated to Windows XP, as I assume it would have the same sound options?

Also, there's a specific help section on the forum.

There is no playback device on windows, no speaker options.

I have sounds&audio devices but no option there gives me the chance to set the quality.
