Why change the past when you can own this day?
The year is 2083 and there have been reports of mass kidnappings by the shadowy group called The Institute. This organization is akin to the boogieman to the people of the Commonwealth. Fear of themselves or a loved one being replaced by a robot called a synth is all too real and possible. On top of that the Brotherhood of Steel is amassing a huge amount of fighters as well as technology to stop and "Liberate" the people of the commonwealth. Groups like the Minutemen are stuck in between as well. All of this is a culmination of trouble for the people. This can potentially make a bad situation worse. One party wishes to eradicate the Commonwealth of it's "filth" and the others true intentions are vague. It's the people caught in the middle who will suffer the most. Where do you stand? Will you try to stop both sides of destroying the Commonwealth once again or will you stand with one side and help them achieve their victory? Or will you stand by the side and watch the world burn?

    Rules:

    • No godmodding and using an overpowered character. That means no fatman wielding indestructible power armor wearing soldier. No taking control of other people's characters. End of story.
    • Allocate your S.P.E.C.A.L points accordingly. There will be no 21 point limit but do try to limit yourself. In other words no 10s across the sheet. Try to have three or four key skills (think of them as your Tag! skills)
    • This is a Fallout RP so be familiar with the universe. The wiki is a great source and I have compiled a timeline of key events down below.
    • Please make your posts 1 to 2 paragraphs long and let me or Simus know if you can not post. We're not assholes so I'm sure we'll understand. We want dedicated writers who can post often ^__^
    • IF YOU EVER LEAVE THIS RP. I WILL FIND YOU, DRIP DRY YOU AND BATHE IN YOUR BLOOD. In all seriousness if you have more important things, you grow bored or you can't post let us know and we will place your character somewhere safe if and when you decide to rejoin us.
    • Please be respectful to the other writers and keep insults to yourself. If we see you insulting the other writers, not following these guidelines, posting spoilers (OF ANY KIND) or just generally being a overall dick, you will be asked to leave. Of course, like in prison, we have a three strike rule.
    • You can double up but pay attention to who does. Granted I'm tripling up but I'm managing it differently. If there are 15 members for a 4-6 member cast that is a problem. NPCs can be controlled as long the group knows and agrees.
    • This is a bit odd but we expect to see your own characters. No using someone elses work. We want to see your own creativity.
    • This is 18+ so there will be intense violence, sex and swearing but please don't be Lars Von Trier and make three volumes of sheer sex. Be tasteful about it in other words.
    • Lastly have fun and get creative!

TIMELINE: The U.S entered World War II with allied Europe to stop the Nazi regime and axis forces from conquering the world. On August 9th, 1945 two atomic bombs named Fatman and Little boy were dropped on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagaski, effectively ending World War II along with a tragic amount of life. After Little boy and Fatman were dropped, the U.S military as well as the nation saw the power of nuclear fission. The production of nuclear powered cars started as well as the military industrial complex starting development of the smaller and smaller nuclear generators. The nation began to use atomic energy not as a weapon but as a nearly limitless source of power. People enjoyed luxuries thought to be unobtainable in the real world. America turned to fossil and natural fuels to continue with demands of living as well as some consumer products.

By 1969 the nation split into 13 commonwealths and for a while the nation was safer in the broad sense of the word. The people were now experiencing the "American dream" that they all heard about. The years until 2050 were peaceful and most objects that were invented were for good purposes or consumer productions (Wonderglue in 2016 and Nuka-cola in 2044)

IN 2002 West Tek Research Facility was founded for "Advanced Weapons" and "Biomedical Sciences Research"

In 2037 General Atomic international unveiled the Mr. Handy series of robots used for general construction, maintenance and personal house care. They were not faultless, however. In 2039 they suffered a bug that caused interference in the operation of the multiple arms, but was fixed with a hardware update, with no major problems since.

In 2051 Seeking to protect business interests and their oil supply, the United States begins to exert increasing pressure on Mexico, citing the political instability and pollution stemming from Mexico as a threat to the United States. Various economic sanctions serve to destabilize Mexico, and the United States military enters Mexico to keep the oil refineries running and making sure oil and fuel continue to make their way north across the border at Mexico's expense. The N99 10mm pistol becomes standard issue military sidearm following the phase out of the N80

In 2052 A television documentary revealing the withered husk of the Texas oil fields brings the oil shortage into American households and reveals how deep the energy crisis runs. On march 5 the socially transmitted "New Plague" arises, killing tens of thousands. The United States closes its borders and the first-ever national quarantine is declared. The source of the plague is unknown, but rumors persist that it is a genetically engineered weapon. In April the Resource Wars begin. Many smaller nations go bankrupt, and Europe, dependent on oil imports from the Middle East, responds to the Middle East's rising oil prices with military action. The long drawn-out war between the European commonwealth and the Middle East begins. Of May and July The United Nations, already suffering, begins to collapse. In a series of heated debates, many nations withdraw from the organization as the U.N. tries to keep the peace. On July 26th The United Nations disbanded forever due to multiple nations withdrawing.

In 2053 ZAX 1.0 goes online, developed by Vault-Tec.Initially a prototype of some of the systems designed to govern the vaults, it is given to the government to help the Department of Energy collect resource data. Within a year, it is taken by the military for plague and tactical research; one version, ZAX 1.2, would later be constructed for West-Tek. A nuclear weapon used for terror destroys Tel-Aviv.

ZAX 1.2 is brought in to regulate conditions in West Tek. It is not part of the Vault-Tec preservation software, so it does not have any orders to protect humanity after the bombs fall.

In 2055 West Tek starts working on a new virus to kill the New Plague. Their viral research and close ties to the federal government eventually lead to them being chosen for the Pan-Immunity Viron project twenty years later as well as power infantry and laser research.

In 2057 the Grand Canyon's 'protected' status is removed and Uranium mining begins, closing it indefinitely shortly after.

In 2059 the Anchorage Front Line is established, as the United States increases its military presence in Alaska to protect its oil interests. The Anchorage Front Line causes tensions between the United States and Canada, as the United States attempts to pressure Canada into allowing American military units to guard the Alaskan pipeline. The first artificial intelligence is born. Limited by memory constraints, its expansion is rapidly halted. The discovery paves the way for future A.I. research in laboratories throughout the United States.

By 2060 traffic on the streets of the world stops moving. Fuel becomes too precious to waste on automobiles, so alternatives are explored - electric and fusion cars begin to be manufactured, but factories can only make limited amounts while conserving fuel. The U.S. economy teeters on bankruptcy. Pressure on fusion research increases. The European-Middle Eastern War ends as the oil fields in the Middle East run dry. There is no longer a goal in the conflict, and both sides are reduced almost to ruin. The European Commonwealth dissolves into quarreling nation states, fighting over the remaining resources.

In the winter of 2066, China invades Alaska. The Anchorage Front Line becomes a true battleground. As a sign of increasing tension between the two countries, Canada proves reluctant to allow American troops on Canadian soil or allow American planes to fly over Canadian airspace. American and Canadian tensions rise, but Canada eventually backs down, and U.S. troops pass through Canada. This sets the stage for the Canadian annexation in 2076

Around 2067 the first suit of T-45b power armor is deployed in Alaska. While lacking the full mobility of future versions, this power armor is incredibly effective against Chinese tanks and infantry. Its ability to carry heavy ordnance becomes key in various localized conflicts, and it has the power to destroy entire towns without endangering the wearer. China rushes to create its own versions, but they are many years behind the United States. By this year, a Nuka-Cola machine can be found on almost every street in America.

2067 the United States' increasing demand for Canadian resources causes protests and riots in several Canadian cities. An attempted sabotage of the Alaskan pipeline is all the military needs as an excuse to finalize its annexation of Canada, which had already begun in 2067

June 3, 2072: Canada begins to be fully annexed by U.S.A. It is fully integrated by January of 2076.

In September 15, 2073 China becomes increasingly aggressive with their use of biological weapons, the United States government felt that a countermeasure was needed. The Pan-Immunity Virion Project is officially formed and plans are made to begin experiments at the West-Tek Research facility in Southern California.

2074 Contrary to their claims of seeking only to retake Alaska from the Reds, American power armor units, infantry, and mechanized divisions are deployed to China, but they become bogged down on the mainland, putting a further drain on American resources and supply lines.

June 24,2074: Negotiations between the U.S. and other world powers come to a dramatic end, with the president walking out of oil talks with the other world powers. After a much heated debate, the president stormed out of the meeting and declared that the last known supply of petroleum will be used exclusively by the U.S. and the U.S. will not sell or trade any oil to outside parties.

June 2076: Power armor prototype completed, resulting in the T-51b power armor. This is the pinnacle of power armor technology before the Great War. Many of these units are sent to China, and they begin to carve a swath through the Chinese forces. The Chinese resources are strained to the breaking point, and the supply lines from the nations China has annexed begin to break down.

    2077

Gas prices sky rocket with the regular gas price being $7450.99 per gallon and $8500.99 per gallon for premium.

A Chinese sabotage attempt takes place at Hoover Dam

New Plague hits Denver. Rioters burn down large parts of the city in their fear of contamination and anger at their treatment. Many panic and flee the city by car, clogging the freeways when they run out of gas and trapping everyone behind them.

January 10: Alaska is reclaimed and the Anchorage Front Line is again held by the Americans.

January 22nd: The first domestic use of power armor within the United States for crowd and quarantine control. Units originally serving in China and the Anchorage Front Line find themselves fighting Americans at home. Food riots increase, and many civilians are killed. Several soldiers defect from the military both in Canada and the United States. They are captured and sent to military prisons.

    October 23: The great war

The Great Blackout: EMP produced by the bombing kills unshielded electronic devices such as vehicles and other machinery. It lasts for an unknown period of time.

Why change the past when you can own this day?
    Name: Joseph "Vex" Teller
    Age:27
    Gender:Male
Birthplace: Small town in Oregon. Close to the California border.
    S.P.E.C.I.A.L:

    Strength:9
    Perception:8
    Endurance:6
    Charisma:6
    Intelligence:8
    Agility:6
    Luck:8

Appearance: Short black hair, well-kept beard, scar on the left side of his cheek, strong jawline, relaxed eyes.

Clothing: On hot days he wears a white T-shirt or a black, white or gray tank top with his dark blue jeans or his black jeans. He also wears his black combat pants. Other times he wears his long black duster from when he was a NCR ranger. he also has shoulder holsters for his pistols, back holster, and a knife slot on his boot. He wears black steel toe combat boots. The duster has the armor as well. Although he rarely uses it unless he is really needs it or is in a combat situation. He also has a necklace, which is a 4 and 4 domino, from his best friend Kenzi. Lastly, he wears his dog tags with pride.

Weapons: His first pistol is a classic M1911. Dark brown grip, with a solid black body. His second pistol he rarely uses is a old world .36 six shooter. An antique passed down from his family.( Colt Navy) He also has his service rifle for long range.

Misc Gear: Combat knife in his boot, several different types of rounds for his guns, a music player along with a charger, baseball cap for the sun, bandanna, and a black circle brimmed cowboy hat that goes well with his coat, fingerless gloves( which he wears often) sunglasses. Off of the battle field, he usually wears the stuff he wears during hot days.

Personality: He is very quiet around strangers, but he always listens, and pays attention to his surroundings. People aren't his favorite, often liking the company of dogs, his best friend, his family, and the soldiers he fights with. The words "good" and "evil" are tricky out there in the wastes. Generally he doesn't mind the "good" people, and often sticks up for them. He is a bit more personable with them. But don't expect him to start up a conversation. Unless he finds a common interest. He really hates the bad people. The people who prey on the weak, or kill when the other person is unarmed. But when they hurt innocent women, children, or non-feral animals, that's the last straw. To him, that's sick. Sure, it's the wastes, both women and men raiders plague the land. But if the women are innocent, or helping others, that's the red line. Around his friends and family he is smart, loving, funny, sarcastic, and caring. If you hurt anybody from those groups, you better pray that he is in a good mood.

He has a combination of morals. They are mostly good. Treat others how you want to be treated, help each other, and stick up for one another. Then, there is the survival/ blood letting side. If anybody harms your friends or family, you teach them a lesson. If someone tries to kill you, you kill them first, and make sure that raiders and lowlifes know that you are not to be trifled with. Self preservation/ close group preservation is a must in the wasteland. Unless you're NCR. Even still your morality and morals dramatically change due to the waste. That's why he views keeping to yourself imortant . They look out for their own and each others family. One of the most important things, always be weary. Especially out in the wasteland. Finally, he also has some dark spots. Every hero does. Every person does.

Misc: part of the NCR, got his nickname for being lucky on the field and with his shots. The nickname also comes from his kill count and what the enemies must be feeling. His best friend also serves in the NCR and is his partner. He also tally's his kills on his armor. He also loves to read, write, and watch people interact with each other. He finds it quite interesting. He is very well read. He also has a couple of nicknames; Joe, Vex, or Keller. Whenever he is on a recon mission or a stake out, he reads.

Skills: Being an NCR ranger, he is quite skilled with assault rifles and handguns. Along with that, he has good CQC skills. As for the big, bulking weapons, well, he thinks they're rather impractical. They're big, bulky, heavy, only good for heavy targets, crowd control( armed with non lethal rounds for riots. Like a shotgun armed with beanbag rounds) He would much rather have movement, accuracy, and decent stopping power, instead of just fire power. Most soldiers have basic medical training, and have learned to improvise repairs with weapons, or even jury rig broken parts, etc. He is also able to see both sides of most topics and arguments. Making him a good mediator. Ironic, seeing how he doesn't like most people.

Back story: Vex came from the small settlement on the border of Oregon and California. It was a small, quiet, out in the middle of nowhere town where everybody knows each other. His mother ran her own store there, so they lived normally. Most of the town liked him and his mom. There was even a school system. There, he met his best friend Kenzi. They were inseparable then, and are still very close now. They would play together as kids and go exploring close to home. In high school, whenever a guy would hassle Kenzi, Joe would back her up. If she didn't already take care of it herself. During school, they heard about the NCR and New Vegas, and what the situation there was like. A year and a half after they graduated they decided to travel to California to enlist. Of course, they knew how to fire a gun because of the wastes. Once they arrived, they both got strange looks, especially Kenzi. Neither of them minded, and they signed up. After their training, their drill sergeant screaming about pushing themselves, and lot of missions, they were accepted. Joe was a top shot, even joining the rangers. Kenzi was extremely close. Often being his spotter. She was more in-tune with a sniper then Vex. She is one of the only people who call Vex, Joe. After all of that, they have served with a lot of men and women. The only constant was each other. They have fought in more than a few battles. Even earned some respect among the camp.

RP SAMPLE: "Ah.. Why are we stuck with guard duty? Why not put us in separate towers?" Vex looked up from his book and saw Kenzi complaining about the post. "Kenz, you know why we're up here. A) its our turn b) we have the sharpest eyes and C) It's quiet. Why complain about that? We could be out on a supply run worrying about raiders, ghouls, radiated wildlife, or even radiation itself. Kenzi rolled her head and sighed. "I know, I know. I am grateful that we are up here, where it's safe. Not to mention I have you here!" The two did a fist bump, and vex smiled. "That's very true. Crazy to think we're we came from huh?" Kenzi was scanning the horizon, thinking of her answer.

"Yeah, it is. It feels like just yesterday we were running around playing ball. Now we're scanning the horizon, hoping not to get shot or ambushed. Do you remember that one guy who us hassling me in school? You said you would hunt him down, wait till he sleeps, then stuff him a giant ice box! The look on his face was priceless!" They both laughed at the thought of the guy's face. "I do remember! Never had any problem with him since. How's your watch coming?" Kenzi then backed away from the sniper scope to look at Vex and answer him. "It's good. It is Pretty quiet out there. Save for a few coyotes here and there. But other than that, pretty quiet." She then sat down next to Vex, putting her head on his shoulder. "I'm exhausted, Joe. I don't know why" Vex put his book down and leaned against the wall of the tower, also making it more comfortable for her. "Haven't been sleeping well? I have that problem. Whenever you can't sleep, you're welcome to hang out in my room, when I'm at my post, or when I can't sleep. How does that sound?" Vex was now marking the page in his book. "That sounds great. I wonder what the squad thinks of us? You think they think we're a couple?" Vex smiled. "I wouldn't doubt it. Wouldn't be the fist time. Either way, it doesn't matter. Although we do make a cu-" Before vex could finish his sentence five gunshots rang off. "What the hell was that! Take a look will you? I'm loading up my rifle!" Kenzi sprang up and nodded. "Got it. Let's see what's going on." She scanned the land and counted four raiders. They were just taking pot shots at anything that moved. Kenzi grinned, and lined up a shot. "Three raiders taking shots at anything that moves. Should I oblige them to one of my bullets?" "Oh, why yes Kenzi! They would really appreciate that." They were both talking in a refined southern accent. Kenzi began taking slow, deep breaths, and watching the raiders. She lined her sights up with the first one, took a deep breath, and held it at the bottom of the breath. The raider turned and was about to yell to his friends until kenzi opened up his head. She the turned to the other one and pulled. The bullet twisted and went in the neck of the second raider. You could see the blood squirting out. "Vex, would you like to do the honors?" Kenzi then handed the sniper rifle over to vex. " I would love to!" He then took aim, he breathed in, then he breathed out. He lined up a shot, pulled the trigger, and got the raider in the head. " It looks like I opened up his third eye!" Vex laughed."psft that was lame! Okay, it was kind of funny." The both laughed, then continued to watch until their time at the watch was up.

    Appearance:
    2_Domino_051201101313902_wideweb__300x197.jpg
Short blonde hair with black to make it appear darker( Like Keira Knightly from Domino) She is 5'5, 115 lbs.
( Had to find a reference picture :p this was the closest I can find. Sorry if this appears unoriginal)

Weapons: She uses a black, 9mm pistol that is strapped to her hip, and a standard issue sniper rifle( Sniper rifle from Fallout 3 and NV)

Clothing: When just around the camp, or when it's hot, she wears long black cargo pants with a white tank( Merc grunt outfit) in a battle situation she wears a sleeveless long coat over a black shirt with blue jeans and lace up combat boots( Merc veteran outfit) She rarely wears her NCR armor, opting for NCR patches on her coat. She wears a matching necklace that goes with her best friend, Vex's. It's made up of two parts, from two different domino peices. They broke them as kids to symbolize that even if their alone, they have each other. She also has her sniper kills tattooed on her arm.Whenever she is away from the base or in a city, she wears black jeans, a few earth tones shirts. she also has a pair of acid wash blue jeans. Along with her dog tags, she wears an engraved bullet that her best friend, Vex, gave her.Weapons: WeA black, 9mm hand gun that is strapped to her hip, standard sniper rife( Sniper rifle from fallout 3 and NV) and a combat knife on her belt sideways behind her back

Misc gear: Combat knife behind her lower back. She wears a baseball cap to block the sun and also has sunglasses.

Personality: Kenzi is funny, sweet, sarcastic, around her close friends. She ultimately dislikes people. She is also feisty and confident. She will always stick up for the little guy, and generally good people. Kenzi can be quite wild in the heat of the moment. The only people she would die for are Vex and his mom, her squad, and her close friends. Other than that, Kenzi couldn't care for anybody else. The morals she has are shaded grey. She only cares for her close group of people, and herself. But, she will help innocents if they are in need. She wouldn't do it alone. In her mind that's a bit unsafe. Unless the innocents are getting shot at. She learned not to invest too much time in relationship in the squad. That way it won't be as painful to lose them. Self preservation, along with the preservation of her close group of people, is a must in her opinion. The only person she got attached to is Vex. Only she calls him by his real name.

Skills: Hand to hand, knife skills, and nunchuks. She loved CQC skills. She is also a great shot, even keeping a kill count in her arm. Her training with NCR encompassed handguns, rifles, CQC, basic medical. Most soldiers learn to jury rig from other soldiers, veterans, seasoned soldiers, or just out in the world. She dislikes heavy weapons, too slow and bulky. Not to mention overrated.

Backstory: Kenzi was born in a small settlement on the border of Oregon and California. It was a small, quiet, out in the middle of nowhere town where everybody knows each other. Her dad died, and her mom didn’t take it well. She fell into alcohol, drugs, psycho, you name it. To escape her mom, she went over to Joe’s house. There, she was treated like family. His mom took care of both of them as if they were brother and sister. She was very close to the Keller family. Often spending the night, and came over there pretty close to everyday. Her mom didn’t care either way. She was deep into whatever she was using at the time. She did try to clean up. For a time she was. But some addicts always fall off the wagon, and she was back to it. Joe’s mom decided to make her a room, and take Kenzi in as her own.

School years: For kindergarten through 5, the town had an empty school building that survived the bombing. Most of it was intact, so they decided to use it as a school. Parents who volunteered taught the classes. The kids even had recess! Kenzi and Joe would always sit and play together. They were, and still are, inseparable. His mom loved having her around, and Kenzi’s mom didn’t care either way.

Teen/young adulthood years: When they went to an out of town high school, things were pretty much the same. They still had each other’s backs, and they still hung out constantly. If a guy ever started hassling Kenzi, Vex would back her up either by fighting the guy, scaring him, or simply talk to him. She loved that; not having to worry about guys bothering her. The only things that were different between them were that Kenzi was more active and she was decent in math, and had more friends. Vex was less active, and more into studies. Not saying that he was inactive, but he wasn’t a fan of PE. They were even each other’s prom dates. On the day of their graduation, Joe gave Kenzi a engraved bullet on a rope. He said that if they ever drift apart, they will remember each other by their necklaces. Both of theirs had an engraving that only they know what it means.

Kenzi let out a quiet whine. "Ah.. Why are we stuck with guard duty? Why not put us in separate towers?" Vex looked up from his book and saw Kenzi complaining about the post. Age:28

    Birthplace: California (post war)

Birthdate: January 30th (bonus points to the person who knows or figures out the importance of this date to her heritage)

    S:6
    P:7
    E:6
    C:8
    A:10
    L:8

    Laterality: Ambidextrous

Affliction: Unknown elements trigger her to black out almost in a rage, smokes (preferred brand is Big Boss. The one and only brand for the wasteland. Eye patch not included)

    APPEARANCE:
    ry%3D480

    Eye color: Green

Hair: Red as well as flipped to the right and buzzed short on the left.

she has full lips, a pretty nose along with average eyebrows and a subtle chin and feminine jaw.

Scars: two long scars down the left side of her mouth and three above her right eye

Tattoos: has "No Future" up and down and behind her left ear, an owl on the back of her neck and her parents' name on her right arm. She slowly adds more with what is available due to it being the wastes.

Build: toned and athletic. During her time as a Ranger she was the infiltrator and thus had to be able to climb her way up using the environment or under via sewage pipes. Not to mention she had to get around an area as quickly and quietly as she could.

    GEAR/SKILLS:

During her time as an NCR Ranger she adorned only the chest piece, mask, and pants of the Ranger stating that the jacket will hinder her ability to remain undetected. She always had two combat knives sheathed in her boots, a suppressed 10mm pistol and her Sawed off affectionately named "Riley's Ringer". After she "left" the NCR she adopted a simple harness as well as kept her armor from before, only wearing it for scare tactics or if the situation got bad enough.

Riley prefers to get up close and personal before you even know she is there. During infiltration missions she mainly relied on her hands and her blades, only ever reaching for her pistol for ranged takedowns. The missions rarely got out of hand. When they did get out of hand, however, she falls back to her shotgun to get the job done.

Riley plays quite well if other operators that suit her style, hence why she did well with the Rangers. Her team never had to worry about her comprising the mission.

    Misc:

    PERSONALITY

Riley's personality was shaped by her history and the events of one fateful mission. For the Essenes of simplicity, here are the basics. She is often sarcastic and witty, even in the face of death.

The good: Clever, smart, cunning, knows how to get the job done

The Bad: Can show little mercy, filled with rage if triggered, if she deems the person as a waste of life, their death will be slow.

Likes: Caps, reading, solitude, animals, very very few people, and trying to forget

    Dislikes: most people, and remembering

Triggers: unknown to her at this time.

    HISTORY:

Her mother, Fianna, was an Irish mercenary and her father Emilo was a Spanish soldier. Riley became real after one too many long deployments and a very lonely Irish woman. When she was born, her father and mother both left their respective parties and lived off what they earned in the field and what Emilo made as a caravan guard. One would expect that a mercenary and a soldier would kill each other the moment they locked glares but not these two.

When Riley was born her father uttered a single word before picking her up into his arms; Paz. On that day she was indeed at peace. They all were for a for a long time. Growing up she learned how to defend herself, live off the land and to get the most out of a good deal (her mother took pride in teaching her this)

    At age 18 she enlisted in the NCR just as her father did and to her surprise it made both her parents proud. Her mother gave her a big hug uttering a prayer in their native tongue;

"Tabhair dom neart a wield mo blade agus a thabhairt dom réiteach a bhrú at.
(Give me strength to wield my blade and the resolve to push on)

D'fhéadfadh sé a bheith sáithithe I mo namhaid fola agus sciath cad a shealbhù mé daor
(May it be soaked in the blood of my enemies and a shield for what I hold dear)

Má theipeann orm I cath, deis dom a chuimsíonn an chinn a shealbhù mè in aice le."
(If I fail in battle, allow me to be embraced by the ones I hold near)

Her mother also handed her lucky .45 knowing that it will save her life in the heat of battle.

Using all they had taught her and how she had been raised she went through the ranks with no effort, almost like some hero in a book. Out in the field she had shown signs of great silence and patience, the ability to think outside the box and finding new ways to complete a mission. Being a foot soldier at the time, all she had a basic service rifle and her mother's .45.

Her demeanor according to her squadmates was always been a trickster and loved a good laugh. Often nights she would sneak into their bunks and footlockers and misplace items or rig a small prank for the morning. Out in the field she was dedicated and trustworthy. She put in a few years as a soldier, then on her leave she went back to see her parents. She made her way home and swung open the door expecting to see her parents with open arms, instead she saw something worse; Her mother hunched over holding her father in her arms, covered in blood and an empty Glock. It appeared to have been a retaliation kill as well as a robbery. There was one thing that was odd; On the floor was name spelled in blood; Bowman.

After that she had a fire burning her heart. She needed to find this Bowman. Riley climbed up the ranks until she hit Ranger. With each rank she got closer and closer. Riley excelled in infiltration and silence. She took the nickname Paz as her callsign not only for her parents, but because she did her work in "peace and quiet" Riley also served in a squad with two other Rangers; Vex and Harvey. Kenzi, callsign Harvey stated that watching Riley work was fascinating. Kenzi will pick off the watchmen from above while Riley dispatched the sentries on the ground only using her combat knives while Vex made his way inside. The team was pretty tight for a while until Riley was reassigned.

A month after being reassigned she went dark during a solo infiltration mission. The report was heavily redacted except a few key details. When back up arrived and found her, she was standing over at least 15 men, drenched in their blood, holding a raider by his coat with a blank stare in her eyes. She simply turned to the soldiers and looked at them, face so soaked in blood it was dripping off of her. The room had to have been a different color but a that moment was crimson. After that she either left or discharged and went into the Commonwealth and turned to mercenary work just like her mother. Now, she dawns a harness, and her Ranger gear and only goes by Paz.

Great work so far Wolf. Really good history. I'll post my CC's in the next couple of days. Hopefully more people will join before then but if not we should start this as a 1 on 1. That should encourage further participation.

    WEAPONS

None, but the vault has several guns, knives and large heavy objects she can use. She also knows how to use her fists.

    CLOTHING

A new vault 111 jumpsuit, insulated to keep her warm. She wears a pair of ankle-high combat boots over her suit and a pip-boy over her left wrist.

    MISC GEAR

A silver locket that opens up. Inside is two pictures, one of her husband and another of her son.

    PERSONALITY

Courtney is kind, confidant, very affectionate and always eager to make a new friend. She takes crap from no one and will always stand up for anyone she calls a friend or perceives as weak or vulnerable. However, she has a bad habit of settling disputes with her fists and her temper makes her less willing to listen than she really should be.

Likes: Beer, bourbon, steak, loud music, a good fistfight, spending time with her family, taking assholes down a peg, standing up for others.

Dislikes: Bullies, newspapers, liars, people she perceives as cowardly or devious, the U.S government, getting shot at.

    SKILLS

Being a former soldier, Courtney is trained and proficient in rifles, pistols and medium combat armor and has fair skills in knife fighting. She's a damn good shot with iron sighted rifles and has enough discipline to use burst fire and single shot weapons. She really likes grenades and flamethrowers. Her most impressive skill is her experience in operating power armor from her days in Alaska. In terms of non-combat skills she's persuasive, intimidating and damn good with numbers.

    BACKSTORY

Courtney was born in 2050 in Goodsprings California to a well-off and patriotic family. American rhetoric was strong in her family and her neighborhood but Courtney never agreed with it. She always found all the propaganda of how great America was and how evil the Chinese and Russians were to be illogical, hyped up and downright dumb. Food relief lines and people pushing their cars around showed her that everyone in the country was not happy and content all the time and the Chinese and Russian kids at her school didn't seem any different from anyone else. When adults tried to reinforce this rhetoric and explain away what she saw Courtney would have none of it. This got her into trouble with both peers and adults and there were many days where she would stay after school for detention, then come home with bruised knuckles and a note from the principal. Her grades were below average in everything but math, which she excelled at.

Numbers were always something she could understand, constant, logical and clear as day. Courtney threw herself into numbers, often at the expense of chores and other homework and dreamed of using them in a career someday. As she grew up she got into less fights and got a little more restraint but retained her fiery spirit. She continued to butt heads with the loudest patriots in high school but in 2069 she did something no-one expected. She joined the marine corp to fight the Chinese. Everyone was shocked at this and when the asked what she was thinking she gave a simple answer.

"Those commie fluffs picked a fight with us." She said calmly. "I for one am not gonna stand by and let them piss all over Alaska. America's got its problems and I've always been the first to talk about them. And it's exactly my right to do this that the Changs are trying to take away. They fluffed with the wrong country."

That was enough for even the most skeptical classmates and for three years Courtney served honorably in one of the country's first power armor units, holding back the Chinese advance while the rest of the country gathered for a counterattack. She never saw Operation Anchorage but she knew they would win. By then her service was up and she was honorably discharged from the army, proud of her service but unable to stand any more bloodshed.

Once out the service she decided to head to Boston. Her sister Sarah had started a clothing company named after their family, Fallons, and had promised Courtney a job when she got out. In early 2073 she took the job as an accountant at her sister's store and enjoyed the work. After clanking around in power armor in single digit temperatures and burning Chinese soldiers alive balancing company expenses was paradise. In 2076 she married her sweetheart Nathen, moved to Sanctuary Hills outside Concord and had a beautiful baby boy named Peter. Then in 2077 the bombs came. All three of them were rushed to Vault 111, changed into vault suits and put into "decontamination pods" before they really knew what was going on. Courtney found out mere seconds later that these were actually cryo pods but by then it was too late. Gas pumped into the chamber lulled her into a deep sleep before the freezing process and for over two hundred years she has slept. Only now has she awoken, greeted by nothing but the silence of a dead vault and the loss of everyone and everything she's ever known.

The characters are original but their appearances aren't simply because I can't draw and I'm not very good with the character creator [emoji23]
I made these guys last night, I'll post them when I refine their CC's.

    Weapons:
Brutus only owns sledgehammer and laser rifle.

    Armour: Super mutant heavy armour

Personality and history: Brutus has always been smarter than other super mutants. That is why he was able to lead other super mutants, until the brotherhood of steel wiped most of them out. A human by the name of Jack was hired to wipe the rest of them out. He succeeded and managed to persuade the sole surviving Brutus to join The Steel Snakes. A mercenary group, offspring from the gunners. Brutus and Jack have been partners for a couple years now. After The Steel Snakes betrayed Jack it was just the two of them.

Brutus has been getting help to be a smarter super mutant but for the most part, his brain is a bag of bricks. He's very aggressive, easily offended, quick to judge and disgusting.

    Likes: Violence, murder, Elvis Presley

Dislikes: Avoiding violence, too much talking, brotherhood of steel, drugs and alcohol.

This but with both eyes, no shrapnel in his head and all limbs attached. Scarring from multiple battles on his face and body.

History: Jack was born in Goodneighbor to two loving parents. Unfortunately his mother was killed in front of him at a young age on a trip to Diamond City. His father tried to raise him as best he could but Jack adopted a rebellious attitude and eventually ran away from home when he was 16, joining up with a raider gang and then with the gunners at 21. Eventually he left them and formed The Steel Snakes when he was 26 and began to operate under the alias Ghost. He was quickly able to assemble a good team consisting of skilled soldiers of fortune. Among them, his good friend MacCready. He met Brutus and convinced the mutant to join his outfit as it was just beginning and the beast fit in well and was accepted by his new peers. When he was 31 The Steel Snakes would rebel against their leader. They wanted to expand and head out of the commonwealth due to the Gunner, Brotherhood and Institute presence but Jack wouldn't have it. It's been 3 years now and Brutus is the only one loyal enough to stick by Jacks side. Jack has been hired from all sorts of folk, Goodneighbors mayor Hancock being one of them. He hasn't heard from MacCready in years but after The Snakes turned on Jack he left them and they haven't been in touch since.

Personality: Horrible commitment issues. The only thing he truly committed to was his mercenary faction but after they betrayed him and left the commonwealth Brutus is his only partner. He's a wanderer, a mercenary and has a good reputation of getting any job done.

    Weapons:

    Silenced .45 Assault Rifle.

    Silenced 10mm pistol- Deliverer style

    Combat knife

    Armour:

BOS officer uniform. Just because it's mostly skin tight and it's black. Not BOS affiliated, no BOS emblem.

    Shadowed sturdy combat armour.

Skills: Extremely stealthy and good in close quarters combat. These skills developed simply because he needed them to survive and ammo isn't cheap. Fairly decent with guns.

My CC's aren't as detailed as a lot of my other ones are but it's because I tried to keep most details to a minimum other than the essentials because it gives more freedom in the RP. Regarding the .45 assault rifle I'm not sure if that's what it's called because I renamed it in Fallout 4, it's just a rifle that takes .45 ammo. I'll post a picture. If you need more or anything I wrote is unaccapetable, let me know. Regarding MacCready I made sure he can still be where we you guys need if you want to utilise him, was just building history.

    Gender:Male
    Birthplace: Commonwealth

    Strength:5
    Perception:8
    Endurance:6
    Charisma:4
    Intelligence:8
    Agility:7
    Luck:9

Appearance: About 5'7" he has slim features, has a roughly kept beard shavedish with a rough knife, he has shoulder length hair it's locked and nappy usually pulled back.

Clothing: Wears an older cowboy hat black at some point now a beaten gray. He wears a green light long sleeve to protect from the sun, and dark gray pants. Occasionally buts on an old suit jacket.

Weapons: He has 3 guns, 2 of them semi automatic .45 pistols in a shoulder harness holster. On his hip he wears a very old Colt 6 shooter.

Misc Gear: He keeps it simple, carrying a pack with a few essentials needed to live by walking the land.

Personality: Quite never really talks only business and insults. He's always on edge, not nervous just ready for problems to go down. Very much a loner and a drifter has no attachments to anyone or anything. He's mysterious and isn't even sure how much he know about himself.

Skills: Mostly just growing up as man in the settlement hunting protecting. In his spare time shooting.

Back story: Jordy was born to a young woman in a settlement on the coast near the old Boston harbor. His childhood was nothing spectacular he just did what he had to. Around 15 his mother died, with her is last connection in the world. Traveling from town to town helping if the price was right. Shooting faster and more straight every time.

He met an older man along his travels. He developed what could be considered a mentor ship. The man taught him how to survive outside of society on the road. This clicked with Jordy due to his anti social tendencies. Jordy found a home again. He was off on a job for a few weeks, upon his return his "home" which consisted mostly of a couple of lean two's with some dying crops. There were dead bodies strewn about. Jordy moved quickly into his friends covered shack there was a dead raider at the mans feet, the old man had a knife stuck in his ribs and a bloody piece of paper in his hands. It read "Under my body is a bag. It's yours now." Under the mans body in a small bag were two things, a cowboy hat, and an old Cold 6 shooter.

RP SAMPLE: He walked into the bar it smelled of beer, vomit, blood, and sweat. Walking to the bartender the man in the suit jacket was being eyed up and down by every dirty looking waster in that joint. The bartender asked "Slinger?" the man nodded "Boss is over there." pointing to a man well dressed in the corner booth.

Weeks earlier Jordy was working a job. He was to help a caravan move some "goods" the real job was to "Lose" the packages. After a few days on the road, Jordy came to a cross point, he stepped back and with single motion shot the caravan leader in the back of the head. Men came from both sides and cleared out the rest of the group. Jordy paid the group and they shot him a few times for good measure.

As he walked up to the corner booth. The man signaled for him to sit down. Jordy sat down across from him. "Slinger, your payment." setting a bag of caps on the table. About four men surrounded the table. Jordy looked up in a quite voice "Oh, I see.. sorry about the Caravan. But the squabble between you and your brother isn't my problem. I take money for completing a job." The man in the suit smiles and as he starts to stand up says "Well guess you should have kept working for him." Jordy puts two rounds to the chest of the the well dressed man. Before anyone can move he puts a bullet in the head of every one of the four goons. Without a second thought or look picks up the bag of caps and walks past all the gawking people. Drops about 50 caps on the bar top, and empties the spent shells on the floor before walking out.
