Coldharbour and Volkihar. Coldharbour wouldn't lead him to Solitude. And castle Volkihar wouldn't take him there either. What a waste of time. Still...I have no real leads on where I can find my father. Maybe I can stick with these guys for a while. He hated to admit it to himself, but he missed having the company of someone on his travels.

"Really? Coldharbour? Volkihar castle? What do you think we are, dragonborn? What part of you makes you think we should do this. We aren't even a large resistance." He looked around the room. "Even if we were to go deal with these problems, many of us would probably die. This is far too dangerous. I came here in search of my father not to get myself killed!" Egil pretended to walk towards the exit but stopped abruptly in front of the one who went by Varian. "Then again." He paused for a moment. He was always one for dramatic moments.

"Vampire and Daedra slaying sounds fun." With a grin he turned and shook the mans hand. "You've got yourself a member of this resistance. The names Egil."

Ralyx started to clap his hands slowly after both Leo and Egil had made their agreements. "Heroic." He said sharply and gave them look of interest. He stepped into the middle of the group and made a small bow. "I'm Ralyx Barrasha." His voice was cold, but still filled with amusement. Now he turned over to Savos and started to walk towards him slowly. He stopped right in front of him, looking straight into his eyes.

"So. Whats in it for me? Gold? Women?" He made a small break with a chuckle. "Skooma or moon sugar, perhaps?" He then smiled at the mans lightly shocked face and turned around again, to walk back to his place next to Che'anni.

Varian wasn't at all shocked at the news. He knew it would take something drastic to get rid of the vampires. He only wished it was easier, but he was never one to turn down a job. Varian smiled when the handsome Nord stopped in front of him. The Nord revealed his name was Egil, he was quite muscular, with brown eyes and a scar down the side of his neck. Egil was a handsome man especially to Varian. Varian smoothed out his fine Daggerfall attire and said, "You obviously have me. I've been meaning to take a trip to Elsweyr for awhile now and those annoying vampires aren't letting anyone leave," He then looked over to the Nord, Egil, rubbed the back of his hand against the man's cheek and said, "Perhaps you would like to get a drink when this is all over? We could have a lot fun, you and I," Varian then winked at Egil.

The guard led Che'anni into the torture chamber where the meeting was to be held just then the imperial she had greeted outside had stopped next to her, The meeting started, Che'anni listened on.

"Can you believe this guy." The Imperial whispered to her before raising his eyebrows before adding, "Vampires are taking over, and he is caring about his looks." He chuckled a little. "The name was Che'anni, right?" He added before he stretched his arm in the air to get attention. "So, can I now get to know who is in charge here?" before he walked towards the middle of the group clapping his hands and started talking to the pair, when he returned to his place next to Che'anni.

Che'anni looked towards The Imperial smiled and then said, "Yes it's Che'anni, but its you who hasn't introduced himself to me personal, Ralyx Barrasha. Now what do you really think about this uprising, you think we will succeed? And don't tell me you don't wanna be here, you didn't come all this way for nothing now?" Che'anni looked over to the shock ridden Savos before waving to lift his mood.

Amy stood up when the woman began to speak. It was apparently going to take a trip to Oblivion and back to find the sun. No matter. The magnitude of the hunt does not change whether one should continue hunting Amy thought. She stepped towards the center of the group.
"I wish to be a part of the group that goes to Oblivion." Molag Bal had stepped out of place, and was trying to expand his realm. Amy now understood why the Game Master had lead her here. "You would have to kill me too to keep me out of there." Amy overheard an Imperial woman questioning the group's abilities.
"Now what do you really think about this uprising, you think we will succeed? And don't tell me you don't wanna be here, you didn't come all this way for nothing now?" Amy turned to her. "Sorry for eavesdropping, but I thought we all came here knowing what slight chance it was for any of us to survive. But think about it--what other choice do we have? Crops are failing. Cattle is starving, and in turn, we are too. Eventually the Vampires will rule all merely because all other things will have been destroyed. I'm not sure whether that was their goal or not, but someone has to at least try to stop them."

Brynne listened to the others for what seemed an eternity, letting it all play out in his mind. He'd come searching for magics capable of breaking a vampire's thrall, but it had been a plan of desperation. Since he'd never heard of it being done, and indeed the College itself had fared poorly against the vampires if rumor was to be believed, the texts he had gained would likely be insufficient. Yet the stories he'd heard as a child claimed that vampires gained their curse from a Daedric Prince.

If a power existed to break the spell, that is where it would be.

Forgetting any purpose beyond his own, Brynne realized he would have nothing to add to this group of fools so bravely willing to jump into Oblivion itself on a fools errand. His only contribution would be the magics in the books in the bag he now claimed, but he would need time to study them. Time to learn them. Which, in turn, left him only one question to ask.

    'When do we leave?'

Brendela was surprised by the crowds reaction. Some seemed fine, even eager, to get on the search for the scrolls.

"Heroic." A cocky looking man walked up to Savos. "I'm Ralyx Barrasha. He was now face to face with the Arch-mage. Brendela didnt like this man one bit. So. Whats in it for me? Gold? Women? The last person who said something along those lines in front of me had ended up with an arrow sprouting from their forehead. Skooma or moon sugar, perhaps?" A druggy, why didnt i think of that?

As the man walked off with a smirk on his face, Savos dropped the fake look of shock he had shown to please the man. He turned to the mercenary standing next to him, who had a unique look of her own. 'keep an eye on that fellow. I can tell from his body language that he's in, but probably only for personal gain'.

As a few more people replied, the armoured women gave Ralyx and another women a good scolding, a few men started chatting and Brendela heard somebody ask when they were setting off. Brendela was a bit taken aback. Eagerness was surprising, but enthusiasm was seemingly impossible considering the situation. Deciding a stream of replies was to be expected of a leader, Brendela was interupted for the second time that night by the vampire in a cage, who had just regained his conscious.

' Ha! You think that will work! you think you can defeat the very children of Coldharbour with your puny scrolls! You cannot even tell who to trust!' Brendela panicked at this, she hadnt decided to tell the new faces about the potential infiltration, and she suspected the nord vampire knew this. Turning to the crowd, who displayed a range of looks in response to the night spawns little speech. 'This creature has been drugged, please ignore it's outbreaks.'

And then the vampire started transforming.

Some people started edging their way towards the exit as the nords skin changed from a snowy pale to a slushy grey, but guards started forming a wall in front of the exit, blocking anybody from exiting. Thralls! why didnt i guess that!
Quickly she drew her bow and began to aim at the now transformed Vampire Lord, but before she could loose an arrow the cage exploded outwards, sending chunks of solid iron flying acroos the room.

Finally some fun. Egil smiled as he drew Stagil and his Daedric dagger. The boring disappointment of a night had finally gotten a bit more exciting. Time to show em what we can do.

He ran towards the door at the room and rammed his body into one of the vampire thralls. With a thud, it pushed the door open and landed on the floor. With a scream it began to get up but Egil was too fast. Quickly he jumped on top of his enemy delivered a quick blow to its throat silencing any further noise it intended to make. As fast as he could he slammed the door shut and stuck a bar in between the handles. With a sigh of relief he thought to himself, That was close. Can't let too much noise escape this room, it'd draw too much attention. And now that that's settled...

With one quick movement he turned a delivered a crippling blow to a thralls knee with Stagil. The effect already setting, the enemies eyes froze as he realized what his weapon did. Stagil slightly froze all ligaments in the preys body for about 10 seconds. Unfortunately such a powerful effect could only work for 5 strikes before needing to be recharged. With his other hand Egil drove the dagger into the back of the enemy and it fell to the floor.

Another thrall came up from behind him to strike but Egil easily jumped out of the way smacked it in the head with the butt of his sword, causing the helmet to fly off its head. This one's heavily armored... As the thrall began to attack again Egil kicked it in the chest sending it flying to the floor. It scrambled to its feet but as soon as it completely regained its ground, Egil had already rammed into it. The thrall landed on a weapon rack, one longsword piercing the back of his head.

Ralyx could feel the disgust in their eyes as he walked back to Che'anni. It wasn't the first time people had disliked his way of talking, so he couldn't care less at all. He drew his left hand through his hair to keep it from falling infront of his red eyes. Suddenly a Nord from a cage started talking about the children of Coldharbour. Ralyx looked over at the caged man with amusement, but his smile faded quickly when the Nord revealed himself as a vampire.

As some tried to escape the room, the guards formed in a defencive stance infront of the exit. Brendala tried to attack the caged Nord with an arrow, but it had little effect, and the vampire broke free from the cage. Ralyx looked around to see if anyone would do something to defend themself or if it was a trap set up by the college. The man named Egil drew his sword and started fighting back against the guards, who obviously were thralls.

"Lets do this!" Ralyx shouted and ran towards one of the thralls with his fists ready. He started of with a punch from his left arm delivered straight into the mans jaw, almost breaking it. Next he lifted his right arm and forced the metal claws on the hand into the vampires throat. As the man fell to the ground in pain, Ralyx drew his ebony sword and pirced his heart, before he cut the throat to make sure that he were dead. He then turned to the others. "See! A mans eyes can lie!" He pointed to his red eyes with a sadistic smile. "Now, who's gonna help us?"

Varian, though surprised, was more annoyed at the current situation. Egil was cut off from responding by the vampire. Varian would make sure to let the vampire and his thralls just what he though of the interruption. Varian drew Cortex from its sheath and held it out in front of him. As he did this, he readied a firebolt spell. He threw the firebolt at a nearby thrall and as the thrall fell Varian kicked it across the room hitting an oncoming thrall. Varian then used Cortex to cut through the oncoming guard's armour. He smiled a sadistic smile as he watched the man's entrails fall to the floor in a pile. Varian's next target was a thrall coming from the hallway. The thrall was dressed in heavy armour of iron. Instead of using his sword (which could easily cut through the metal), Varian drew two fire spells. He used the spells to boil the man's blood inside his armour. The thrall died before he came fully into the torture room. Varian, in an attempt to keep more thralls from coming in, threw a firerune in the hallway.

As the woman who had brought them all there began speaking again, a vampire in a cage began speaking. It claimed they could never defeat the children of Coldharbour. Yeah, right. It then began to transform into the ugly bat-like creature form that "pure-blood" vampires had. Amy thought it was repulsive. Then again, it thought the same about her.

As it broke free of its cage, Amy ducked down. She could see people scrambling, and realized that this vampire had thralls, and a lot of them. She drew her Ebony dagger and crept towards the wall. She wished she could just transform and take them all out, but she knew that wouldn't work here. As a few people went for the thralls, Amy was interested in the head honcho. It was casting spells and using the appendages coming from its back to keep itself in the air. Slowly, silently, she sneaked up behind it. As it landed, she ran her dagger through its calf vertically. It screeched, and turned to face her. It swung its claws at her, but she managed to dodge them. As it came down with a power strike, she lifted her shield to bash its own momentum against it. Instead of staggering, it simply lifted itself off the ground again. It had some sort of red spell ready, and it looked powerful. Amy out away her dagger and drew her mace, ready to fight back.

Brynne was as taken off guard as anyone in the room by the sudden and violent turn of events. He'd known the way to his goals would be drenched in blood, but in truth this was his first taste of battle. His slow response and lack of arms told the thralls rushing into the room that he was no threat; rather they just considered him an impediment to aiding their brethren in combat. One of them simply used his shield to swat Brynne out of his way, never wasting a motion. For all he'd thought he was ready, the barkeep found himself slamming into the wall, the fracture in his unhealed arm breaking anew.

His vision went red for a moment, but he managed to stay conscious. His new found comrades were fighting valiantly, but the numbers were against them. A flood of this size eventually would overtake them. It would take a miracle to save them... or magic. Without thought, his hand plunged into the bag of ill gotten gains and produced a book.

The cover was the triple spiral pattern he recognized as illusion. Perhaps not the most impressive school, especially at a time like this, but he was trying to stall. Perhaps it was the best option for that. Flipping the book open, he search for a spell to aid him. Then he discovered the book itself was the spell. There was no time to read it cover to cover, but as he stared at the he felt the knowledge pouring into his mind.

He had no training, so the spell was slow going; he understood it only so long as he kept watch. He needed to hold the book open and unleash the magic simultaneously; impossible with one hand.

Without hesitation, Brynne lifted his broken arm and stretched it out, blocking the pain with a level of self-control he'd never known he possessed. He took a moment to aim the spell at a brute of a man standing behind the shieldsman that had knocked him aside, returned his eyes to the book, and let the magic flow through him.

When his vision cleared, he was now staring at a blank page. There was a moment of confusion, until he looked up to see the greatsword wielding orc slice the man in front of him asunder, before turning and attacking another of his compatriots. The spell had sent the thrall into a mindless rage, unable to see friend from foe. Another of his allies fell in a single swing, not expecting the attack

Three more saw what was happening and quickly dispatched the enraged thrall, but it didn't matter. It has thinned their numbers and bought a precious few seconds for Brynne's partners. It was almost worth the insufferable agony.

While everyone was going for the glory, Leo was busy escorting everyone without a weapon to safety. Running down the halls, he slayed several vampires. He raced to the bunks and stopped at the door.

Leo: Okay, everyone, you have been infiltrated, they are taking out the head honcho down stairs. Anyone who is available to fight, stay here and guard the exit here, more might be chasing us. Everyone else, come with me, we need to get you guys to a safer area.

They did as they were told, those who could fight quickly dressed for battle, while the others followed Leo outside. He ran as fast as he could, slaying any vampire who tried to attack him. He ran outside to see a small commotion. Most of the guard who weren't vampires were killed. They started to charge at the crowd, and everyone with weapons charged. Leo was spinning around, slashing at the vampires who dared attack them. He slew all of the vampires, or at least those who exposed themselves. After all of that, only about 30 people were alive, some injured, but alive. He sighed, and then he started helping the injured.

A chunk of iron had caught Brendela in the chest, but she was back up in seconds. As she regained her vision she saw numerous people fighting.several were taking on the small army of thralls at the doorway, and the fight seemed to be heading outside. A man lay resting in the doorway, his arm clearly broken. Looking towards the Ebony-girl, she saw that she was engaged in single combat the vampire lord.
After quickly pointing Savos towards the injured man, she turned back to watch the fight. Knowing the feat was impossible alone, Brendela rushed in, launching several arrows at the creatures face. The creature stumbled backwards and roared in rage, and launched a red ball of energy at her. She narrowly missed it, but the energy emanating off of it sent her staggering back. stringing her bow once again with an arrow and aiming at the beasts eyes, she shouted at the other girl.
'Clip it's wings! without them it will go much quicker!'
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
Quickly ducking behind a pillar to avoid he ball of energy launched by the vampire, Savos reached the wounded man. His armed seemed broken, but his arms seemed to be holding a spell tome. Picking up the man and slinging him over his shoulder, which was no small feat considering how small the dunmer was. As the last humans pushed the thralls out of the doorway, the unexpected happened.

A Gargoyle, easily ten feet tall, had just smashed through the wall of the chamber, and it was staring directly at the mage.
Conjuring a Frost atronach to provide cover, he quickly got the man to his feet. Giving the magic user a stern look, Savos asked him a simple question.

    'Can you walk?'

Egil jumped at the crashing sound from the gargoyle. Great. Instead if going for a direct attack, he sheathed his dagger and sent two fireballs hurdling towards the gargoyle. The balls of fire exploded on its chest and it roared, facing his direction rather than the Frost Atronach Savos summoned. With one quick movement the gargoyle charged at Egil. He barely had time to jump to the side, but still he staggered and fell back on to a rock. Quickly, he scrambled to his feet and sent three more fireballs at the gargoyle'a chest. It charged at him again but this time he was ready. Instinctively he stepped to the side and stuck his sword out, jabbing it into the gargoyle's stomach. It collapsed to the ground.

Satisfied he turned to fight another vampire thrall when two more gargoyles crashed through the wall. The Frost Atronach sent an ice spike towards one of the gargoyles, but the other had its eyes focused on the mage and the man he was helping. "Watch out!"

The distraction provided just enough time for the thrall to land a blow. A fist sent him flying into a bookshelf. He stood up, his head banging and vision blurry. As he tried to take a step forward he found himself staggering to the side, only keeping himself upright by a pillar in the room. The thrall was already rushing towards him. No time to think. Egil dropped his weapons and sent a massive fireball into the thrall. A hole burned into its stomach and it fell right in front of Egil'a feet.

He breathed a sigh of relief as he cast a weak healing spell to clear his head and picked up his weapon, ready to fight some more.

Che'anni looked head on facing the Nordic vampire, who lead this occasion, as he looked over to her, "So I've heard you just want to destroy everything, well I don't think I like that." before the vampire could reply it screamed in pain and as it happened Che'anni turned around and met with everybody else, Two curved daggers fell out from under her sleeves, she was always prepared for close quarter attacks.

A thrall jumped at her but more intently wanted to help his master's counterpart vampire, and we didn't even know who was his master, the thought stuck, "Are there really vampire spies already among this small pocket of resistance." back to the thrall already trying to gnaw at her, Che'anni jumped back before the thrall lunged at her with his sword, she sidestepped and then tapped his back, Ain't you a little slow, I'm guessing being a vampire's minion hasn't really worked with your schedule," Che'anni half joked before driving one of her daggers in his Armour's soft spot, he grunted before turning around and continued his relentless pursuit. His sword met her dagger and she tried to get in a hit but his shield proved it was unlikely. The thrall got ready for another heavy attack maybe he thought he could overpower Che'anni but she sidestepped once again but instead of tapping his back her blade slid across his throat while he dove forward into the floor, He turned to face him but not before she threw one of her daggers hitting another thrall square in his eyes, Che'anni looked down to the blood gurgling Thrall who returned the look and tried to mumble what appeared to be, "Thank you," before his eyes rolled back, Che'anni then thought, "A thrall, an innocent of war, well some of them at least. Always serving his master until just the end, The only two ways to currently De-thrall somebody, that she knew of, was Death or being set free. All these Thralls are just tools though, nothing more then a mediocre weapon, we use hounds, they use us." Che'anni walked over to where she settled her dagger into, bent down and retrieved it and looked on to the Nordic vampire once more, who was busy fighting the Nord women who bickered at her just before this whole mess started.
the lead vampire was preparing a red spell of sorts and the female nord held her mace, Che'anni decided to help for a pure-blooded vampire is no easy task, she quickly cleaned her daggers, sheathed them and drew upon her bow before firing two arrows which barely pierced the beast's side. another thrall showed up, probably to dispatch the 'Archer'.

Luckily, someone managed to put a couple arrows into the creature before it could release its spell. 'Clip it's wings! without them it will go much quicker!' yelled. As someone else managed to get a couple arrows in its side, Amy dove behind the creature. It was screeching again, either in rage or pain, she wasn't sure which. She jumped up to bring her mace down on its left "wing", but it turned and smacked her back down to the floor.
"Fool! you think you can defeat me?" it sneered from above. Amy leaned forward and bit down on its shin, letting her fangs extend. She was growling now, and looked her opponent in the eyes. It screeching again, and trying to shake her off. She let go, swung her mace at its midriff, then backed up, preparing for its next move.
If it wasn't angry before, it definitely was now. It shot the red spell at her, which she managed to block most of with her shield. It landed, grabbed one of its thralls as it ran by, and tore apart its neck. Amy watched as the creature's wounds healed. S***.
She was going to need more help than she thought.

After Ralyx was done stabbing the long dead thrall numerous times in the chest, he turned around to see Amy, Brendela and Che'anni struggle to fight the vampire lord. He hesitated for a while before he got up on his feets holding a strong grip around the hilt of his ebony sword. "Ladies. It looks like you could need some help."

The vampire lord seemed more busy healing himself to even notice Ralyx who now charged right at him. With a jump, Ralyx hit the vampire in the back with his shoulders forcing it to stagger. He definately had the vampires attention now, and it didn't seem to happy by the way he had gotten it. The vampire had eyes filled with rage and let of a loud grunt as he tried to hit Ralyx with his arm. Ralyx rolled under the attack and was once again behind the beast. "You're way to slow." Ralyx laughed, and the vampire lord turned back to him. As the vampire was ready to attack him once more, all Ralyx could do was to yell. "Now!"

    "Now!"
Amy managed to hit its wing this time. It was definitely broken. She hit its back and finally its head, since it was now overwhelmed with four people attacking it. It fell to its knees with a cracked skull. Amy hit it again, successfully killing it this time.

"I hope you didn't want to interrogate it more, but I don't think we could have gotten it back in that cage," she said, turning to Brendala. Amy used her foot to roll the creature onto its back to make sure it wasn't getting up. She looked around to see whatever was left of its minions being picked off. "So...who wants a drink?"

Varian was now covering the rest of the thralls and kept them from distracting the ones attacking the vampire. He cut through various forms of guards and other thralls. His sword slashed through armour and ripped through the body, all in clean, precise cuts. He saw organs and other internal body parts fall to the ground in heaps of blood and flesh. He then used his destruction magic to blow holes through the rest of the thralls, he saw their charred flesh and smelled the hideous aroma but continued. This was battle and one can't cower away in a corner while their comrades risk their lives.

After all the thralls were torn down he looked towards his companions. They had successfully killed the vampire and were now recuperating from their injuries. He spoke and offered his aid, "If any need it, I'm amazing in the school of restoration. I can heal most of your injuries and ailments,"
