    Demon Hunter and Wordplay Extraordinaire
It is 4E 257. More than half a century has passed since the dragons returned to the skies of Tamriel and the unknown Last Dragonborn slew them. During the continent-wide political upheaval that accompanied the Dragon Crisis, the various Daedric Princes have taken the opportunity to expand their respective influences on the world of Nirn. Chosen from the ranks of their most fervent mortal adherents, those who came to be known as "Representatives" assumed control of the cults and shrine territories of their respective Lords. The rapid and violent - yet limited - conquest did little to capture the attention of the political powers warring across the face of Tamriel.

The Aedra, however, took a very different stance on this eruption of Daedric influence. To combat growing the tide of Daedric worshipers, the Aedra reached out to their own devotees. In the two years following the return, and subsequent elimination of Alduin, the World Eater, the influence of both factions grew exponentially all across Tamriel. While the Daedric cults expanded nearly unhindered in the untamed wilderness, the priests and priestesses of the Divines dominated the cities and large towns, purging the Daedric cultists from their cities and towns.

Though the war between the followers of Aedra and Daedra has now continued for years, showing no signs of stopping, one Representative stepped beyond their unspoken boundaries. Athhelfin, Hircine's Representative, took to the streets of Falkreath with dozens of werewolves. The quiet town's guardsmen could do little to stop the onslaught of teeth and claws as the citizens were torn apart, even as arrow and blade pierced the wolves' hides. The whole of Falkreath's Hold fell under Athhelfin's control within a fortnight, and no human was spared, the forest's entirety becoming a hunting ground for the weres. With more and more of Hircine's creatures being drawn to Skyrim's southern border, it's only a matter of time before the crazed Wood Elf makes a push further into Skyrim's lands. And, for various reasons, both the Aedra and Daedra have decided to send their own Representatives to stop Athhelfin and his growing army before all of Tamriel is soaked in blood.

Welcome, one and all - and also Carl - to the Price of a Hunter's Zeal RP. This will be my first RP I've created, though not my first to take part in, and I hope it's up to snuff. @SeanuReaves and I have been working on this concept for a few days now, and are looking forward to making a memorable story with all of you. So, without further adieu...

This RP will be taking place in Skyrim, over fifty years after the game's events took place. The Dragonborn will not be making an appearance - as a played character or NPC. So no Dragonborn characters - no exceptions. The Empire, Stormcloaks, and Thalmor have all been eliminated as factions - the Dawnguard still exists, though their presence in the world isn't noticeable. The same goes for the Volkihar Vampires, who are in good standing with Molag Bal. Additionally, the Hold guards have been all but enitrely replaced by warrior priests and priestesses of the Divines.

As for characters... there will be no godmodding. Overpowered characters and scripting (taking over someone else's character) without permission is prohibited. Vampirism and werewolfism is allowed, assuming your characters meet certain conditions (more on that in a bit). Additionally, everyone's character must be a "Representative" - a sort of vessel for the Aedra and Daedra's power.

Writers can use any Divine or Daedric Prince for their patron (except for Hircine and any patron already taken), and their character will possess (even if they do not make use of) powers related to their patron deity. In the case of vampires, Molag Bal is the preferred patron. If you can adequately explain being someone else's follower while being a vampire, though, it will be allowed.

If you want to be a werewolf, your character MUST be a Companion. The Companions' strain of werewolfism is unaffected by the Wild Hunt, so this is the only option if you wish to use one.

A simple Character Card template, if you need one, is as follows:

    Demon Hunter and Wordplay Extraordinaire
    Name: Vastatya Liirtumil
    Race: High Elf
    Gender: Female
    Age: 143

    Class: Swordmaiden

    Patron: Vaermina
    Patron Ability: Dreamwalk
Ability Description: Vaermina's realm may be within that of dreams and dreamlike states, but her influence reaches far beyond the boundaries of mere fantasy. By invoking her patron's gift of Dreamwalking, Vastatya falls into a deep slumber, and is capable of traveling great distances with her mind's eye, to not only see and hear what occurs from nearly any distance, but also enter people's mind through their dreams - whether they're asleep or awake. Once within, she can wreak havoc on one's psyche, experience even their foggiest memories as if it were crystal clear, and toy with their allegiances through subtle mental prodding. The ability leaves her drained, however, and her mental state is often vegetative after prolonged use.

Appearance: Tall and slim, Vastatya is far from your typical warrior. Her slender fingers look more akin to a scholar's than a weapons master, and her unusually pale skin would make you think she'd never seen the sun in her life. But beneath her slight exterior, Vastatya is a well-trained, well-toned warrior, through and through. Her silver-gold hair, once long and luxurious, is now a choppy-looking frenzy, thanks to her getting annoyed by the locks that continually got in her way when swinging a blade. Her face sports a single jagged slash reaching from the tip of her nose to the inner corner of her left eye, while her body is decorated by criss-crossing slashes, gouges, burns, and a jagged black star the size of a crabapple just below her ribcage.

Equipment: Darkened steel armor protects Vastatya's torso, while reinforced leather keeps her arms and legs mobile without sacrificing protection. A light steel greatsword rests over her left shoulder, its edges sharpened to be razor-thin.

Skills: Capable of wielding any physical weapon, but especially adept with weapons requiring two hands to wield. Additionally, she's trained for years to be able to make the most effective use of her armor, while improving it to be as flexible and resilient as possible.

Traits: Confident, cruel, flashy in combat, mildly psychotic, disconnected from others.

Background: One girl, alone in a sea of people on the Summerset Isle, forgot her place in the world. Feeling alone for so long, she hid herself from society's eyes, and focused solely on surviving day to day. For a while, she lived like a feral cat, using any means to get a meal while running from anyone who came close. But like any wild animal in the city, someone eventually came to cage her. For half an hour, she ran from the guard. Dodging around carts and horses, climbing walls, using each and every escape route she'd found, but it wasn't enough. She was dragged through the streets, kicking and screaming, to the jails and thrown into a rotting cell. She ran for the exit, but her captors slammed the cell door closed in her face, and laughed as she pleaded for freedom and tried to squeeze her small frame through the bars. Taunting her, the guardsmen jingled the cell door keys before her, laughing as she desperately reached for them. They held it too close, though, for she was able to snatch the key ring from the guard's hand, and yanked them into her cell.

Surprised and angry at her luck, the guards stormed into the cell, ready to beat her bloody. As they did so, though, she launched a knee into the first man's groin, and leaped at the second's throat. After crashing to the floor, she kicked off of the man's flailing body, and dashed for the door. Throwing it open, the young girl came face-to-face with the guard captain - a thick brute of a man - and his metal gauntlet-clad fist. The force of his punch knocked her senseless, and she collapsed in a heap at the huge man's feet. She was promptly thrown back into her cell, where she was left to experience only her dreams. And dream, she did...

    diablo_barbarian_class_by_mattforsyth-d788buf.jpg

    Appearance
A giant among men. His stature alone not only dwarfs that of an average Imperial, but the average Nord as well. Built like a mammoth, his body flaunts the extent of strength he has slowly come to acquire of years of blood, sweat and tears. Every muscle worked to it’s fullest definition, and toned to their highest mass. However, his large, rather bulky nature does not hinder the way in which he moves. Like a beast on the prowl, his motions become fluid and light. He finds himself most comfortable in thick forest, moving from shadow to shadow or tree to tree, remaining low and patient without fail. Or in open plains, charging with intimidation and a seemingly uncontrollable wrath. His skin noticeably darker than that of a normal Nord’s, covered in many scars and burns alike. All gained in battle alongside his smaller companion, or otherwise. His stern, and strong azure eyes stare from beneath the cover of his long ebony hair. Neither messy nor styled, it hangs down his back to the start of his thighs in a loose braid. A rough looking goatee outlining his stern and unimpressed down-turned mouth.
    Height: 7’4”
    Weight: 315 lbs.
    Build: Muscular, Large
Face: Firm, Strong and Defined, with a sharp jaw and brow.
Eyes: A bright Azure, described to almost glow
Skin tone: Unusually Tan for a Nord
Hair style: Long and Wavy, usually tied back in a loose braid
Facial Hair Style: Grown out, and rough Goatee, tied at the chin
    Hair Color: Ebony
Scars: Many. Most of them are miscellaneous and random from previous battles, but he does have one of note. A fairly large and ragged scar that scales from his left cheek bone, down to his collar bone. The scar seems to have not only healed poorly, but possibly became infected at one point before.
Tattoos: He has large amounts of miscellaneous tribal designs that snake all around his body, maintaining a consistent line width and light blue tinge.
    Piercings: None

    tryndamere_by_rin_t-d7snq4f.jpg

    the_khal_by_dynamaito-d5rujny.jpg

    Personality

Description: Talion has often been described as a person who can be easily angered, at least to those who have offended him, his companion, or those he cares for. This behavior is also commonly seen in battle, where he can often lose control of himself. When he is not in battle, or fighting off those who anger him, he can be known as a very jolly, intelligent, and caring man, though it isn't exactly shown with his face or body. Despite his rather intimidating disposition and looks, he can be very welcoming, warm and caring. When he finds himself in good company, he finds it easy to joke around, and be friendly. When he is by himself, or without anything to do, you can find him reading or working. He will read anything that can further his Forging, Metallurgy, Leather Working, and crafting skills. He could be working on any of his crafting projects as well. This ranges from simply sharpening and maintaining his gear, repairing his partner's armor, or even crafting a weapon for somebody. These skills are a testament to exactly how diligent and efficient he is when he has a job to do. This is also shown true when he is on a job searching for a bounty, or ending a bandit camp.
Temper: Low - Medium; He has always found it difficult to control his anger in certain situations (offending/hurting him or those he cares for)
Outlook: Positive; though for him it is often difficult to see
Honor: Incredible; He believes every man, woman, and beast deserves to be treated with honor and respect (does not include the dead or other monsters)
    Alignment: Chaotic Good
Good: Calculated, Intelligent, Strategic, Motivated, Selfless, Diligent
Bad: Can scare people away with his deceiving demeanor, Easy to Misjudge others, Easily Offended and Angered
Likes: Animals and Creatures, Helping Others, Traveling, Forging, Metallurgy, Leather Working, Crafting & Creating, the earth of Nirn, Tea, Natural Beauty
Dislikes: Ignorance, Disrespect, Racism, Dishonor, Prideful, Over-confidence, Unoriginality
    Fear: Being Alone again.
Habits: Talking to himself, Rambling when he's nervous
Goals: He wants to travel for as long as he can, until he has enough money to settle down, and start his own forge and crafting shop. He would also like to open a home for abused children, so that he can help those who were raised like himself.

    khal_drogo___game_of_thrones_by_obliviouschild-d54sdmk.jpg

    Skills & Gear
Talion was taught while apprenticing and self teaching, that your personal nature and personality is key within every creation that you make. Whether that be within the boundaries of leather working or smelting ore, you must project a piece of yourself, and your soul with each piece. This will not only strengthen your creations, but your soul. He was also taught that the materials and sources that you make your creations out of pass on the characteristics from which they originate. For example, the Skin of a Horse made into a War Helm, would spiritually provide the endurance of the Horse from which it was made. These two very important teachings passed onto every single one of Talion's personal creations, and are very important to their story and creation.

Armor Set: The entire set of armor that Talion wears, is one that he custom crafted on his journey alone. He crafted it almost entirely out of a Monster of a Wrothgarian Kodiak Bear's Hide and Fur, as it was more than large enough to armor his enormous body. It is seen in the set, that he utilized the maximum potential of the thick skin, from a cloak to even some spare pieces for repairs. He calls this Set Barengar.
Head: Large Helmet of Bear Leather, Mountain Ram Horns, and a Horse Tassle
Chest: Not much, the front of his chest is almost completely open, minus the straps for his shoulder armor, which is made from Bear Leather. However, at his back, he does have the option to put on his thick Bear Fur Cloak.
Arms: Socketed Bear Leather Arm Guards.
Waist: A large Bear Leather Belly Guard and Belt, with a large sheathe at the back. From there, it hangs long leg guards also made of the thick leather, as well as cloth.
Legs: He wears loose trousers, but no armor outside of the leg protection from his belt.
Feet: Bear Leather boots, that stretch to his mid calf.
Every Day Carry: Along with his Armor and Weapons, Talion carries a large, Bear Leather wrapped, Spruce Wood Shield that belongs with his Barengar Set, called the Shield of Maw. He then carries a large tankard, spare leather, a smithing hammer, and a couple of books about certain complicated ways of crafting and smithing. All of this he wraps up in his Bear Skin Cloak, and uses it as a pack. If he ever finds himself using the cloak, he simply dumps his items into his companion's bag without her knowing.
Weapons: His main weapon, and likely the most deadly, is his gigantic great-sword The Ferbraun. Named after himself, as it matches his size and stature, the blade is made of a rare form of hard, and sharp forged steel called Damascus. The Hilt made of a similar steel, but with a darker coloring, and the pommel of a steel covered in a carved dark wood. The weapon is decorated with adornments of vibrant cloth and braids, all eluding to the countless victories it has won. It is a 7.5 foot sword in total (90 in., 228.6 cm.), with a 1.5 foot handle (18 in., 45.72 cm.), and a 6 foot blade (72 in., 182.88 cm.). Weighing around 15 lbs. (6.8 kg.), this weapon is truly a perfect match for this man.

    Skills:
Talion is nothing short of a Crafting Master. Most of the reading and activities he has ever done outside of spending time with, and doing work with Tauriel, have been about the many aspects of the profession. From smithing to leatherworking to metalergy, he has knowledge of and proficiency and even mastery in. Outside of his training in smithing and crafting, Talion is an offensive powerhouse. His abilities with using large weapons with ease, is unparalleled. The power that he can bring with these weapons is beyond the norm. Though this does limit his movement or speed, when he wishes to become mobile, he is more than capable of doing so, but at the cost of losing some attacks. He is well trained in powerful hand to hand maneuvering, whether it be strong hits with his fists, or even throwing his opponent as far as he can. He does contain some skill with long range weapons, however, he is nothing short of a novice. Sure he can knock the arrow, but where it flies is nowhere in his control. Beyond his offensive traits, Talion is a rather skilled tracker and hunter. Though it is rather difficult under normal circumstances, he can blend in quite well with the given time. However, this has never come in handy outside of the realm of hunting, and likely never will due to his style of battle.

Public History: His history is one shrouded heavily, even from his own memory. All that is known from all outside viewers, is that Talion and his partner Tauriel have been together since the beginning.

Well, I'm not picky about who I'm letting in. So long as people have some semblance of grammatical proficiency, I'll let them join (though I'm tapping us out at six people). And since everyone more than passes that mark, you're all in. Once Hlif gets hers up, I'll start the IC thread. Skies will be joining us next week, so I won't wait for his CC.

    Tauriel Sunna'Cey

    24 YEAR OLD FEMALE BOSMER

    PERSONAL DETAILS:

    Alias: The Bird, Re

    Apparent age: Early twenties

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Marital status: Single

Occupation: Bounty Hunters, Mercenaries, SellSwords, Professional Bamboozlers

Residence: She resides in whatever place her partner rests his head, he is home to her.

Family: Any information pertaining to her biological family was lost to her some time ago.

Affiliations: Her only true affiliate is her partner, Talion Ferburaun

Note-worthy Personal Relationships: Do I have to say it again? Well alright, Talion Ferburaun her dearest friend and companion.

Political Views: As she is not from Skyrim she feels less of a weight to come to a decision on the war. She sees the weakness and faults it is creating however and can see how the Aldmeri Dominion would benefit from such a thing. Generally, the whole lot irk her in one way or another but she will not dismiss someone simply because of the side they choose. Judge, maybe, but not dismiss.

Religion: Kyne is the patron of both herself and her partner. While her partner has been gifted the aspect of the bear, Re holds the aspect of the bird. Able to control or become one raven or a murder of these beasts she uses this most often tactically but also for travle.

    Affliction/Disease/Ailments:
    Insomnia, Anxiety, Seasonal Affective Disorder

    upload_2017-1-15_12-8-39.png

    PHYSIOLOGY:

Built like a runner Tauriel’s lower body shows especially well the extent of her athleticism. Though toned throughout her body; her torso, shoulders, and arms are slight in comparison to her curvaceous hips and strong legs. Lithe and fluid like most of her kind Tauriel moves with a deadly grace that is more animal than Mer. She is most comfortable within the forest whether it be flexibly maneuvering through the tree branches or slinking soundlessly between thickets and shadows. Her skin is dotted with the odd freckle but otherwise, neither tan nor especially pale is nothing of note. Large blue eyes and fluttering eyelashes allow her to play whatever part she must, flickering from innocent to deadly with startling ease. Her full, rosy lips part absently in concentration as she takes aim from the shadows, the only feature other than the button nose that is not cast in shadow by a cowl thrown over her head as she hunts. Unlike a proper lady Tauriel’s hair never quite sits perfectly. Lose brunette waves and curls always appear somewhat windswept, tousled. Falling below her breasts her hair is most often worn down though from time to time wrangled into a messy braid.
    Height: 5'7

    PERSONALITY:

Ah yes, Personality. Well, let's preface this by saying that Re is nothing short of a fickle creature. What comes across most clearly is that the young Bomser woman has an attitude and personality that she makes no attempt to hide despite the opinions of those around her. Articulate and with a mind for quick retention of information and high intelligence she is not the type that one should ever enter willingly into a battle of wit or words with. Though she may choose to be incredibly kind and charismatic at times if her values are violated she quickly becomes cold and manipulative, harshly punishing others for their transgressions and holding grudges easily when wronged by someone, not within her circle. Morally she is unbending, though this applies not to society's rules but to her own internal guidance. Always she is herself and reacts aggressively to anyone who has been perceived to be challenging her as her nature is that of an alpha-female.

The flipside to this is the more intimate, hidden aspect of her character. Beneath the sass, and the anger lies a sensitivity that is secret to all but one. Compassionate and intuitive the mer is sensitive to the emotions of those around her which makes her good at reading other. Tenderly loving and playful she enjoys physical affection and is injured deeply when others reject this despite her distaste for physical contact from those she does not welcome. Profoundly introverted the woman needs time alone, or with only those who do not drain her or she will begin to warp into something wholly unpleasant.

    Alignment: Chaotic Good

    upload_2017-1-15_12-7-36.png

    COMBAT STATS/ DETAILS:

Her skills offensively focus mainly on her marksmanship, whether that be with her bow, or with throwing knives, she is super effective with them all. Her skill with her blades are slightly less in tune, do to her affinity to staying ‘high and dry’, however, she can still be effective. Her skills with things outside of the common blade or the ranged weapon are rather small. She does not know her way around the long blade of a great sword, and with that, can hardly swing one effectively. Outside of her obvious fighting capability, her attraction to becoming invisible in nature is one of no comparison. She knows how to climb high into the canopy of a forest, and disappear into the high branches, but is equally as capable in the brush near the ground as well.

    Class: Archer

    Major Skills:

    • Archery and fletching

    • Sneak

    • Speech

    Other Note-worthy Skills:

    • Alchemy, specifically poison related

    • One handed

Weapons: It is unclear how many small “tools” the Mer carries on her person as she seems to always have another weapon ready to take the place of the last. Her most prominently displayed weapon, as well as the most frequented of her arsenal, is her bow. Not gaudy or lavish in appearance the bow, however, is strikingly well made performing with deadly precision and fluid beauty. Often poisoned or laced with one spell or another her arrows do not often match any found in the common quiver but again are made with obvious and impressive skill. Though preferring to work from afar Tauriel lacks naught for weapons that allow more of an up close and personal experience. Hidden within various folds of her costume could be found anything from daggers to throwing knives as well as a short sword of fine make. Though not many live to profess her prowess with these blades it is quite obvious as she tosses about one dagger or another that she can more than comfortably handle herself in battle.

/GEAR/: Supple leather comfortably hugs the curves of the small mer nearly from head to feet. Deep brown leggings cover the strong legs as the first line of defense. Layering atop the leather, beginning bellow her toned rump, midway through the back of her leg, is a section of protective chainmail that wraps around to end in the same position at front of her thigh. Buckled over top, protecting the side of her legs as well as a small portion of the front are lightweight sections of metal. Similarly, he same dulled grey metal is used in guards for her knees. More layers of protection are found at her hip beginning with a layer of dark brown leather again protecting her sides, more specifically her hips and a small section of her leg. Over this is leather lighter in color hidden partially beneath yet another guard, this time buckled at her hip. Shaped specifically to suit her curves the metal changes shape at her waist, rising slightly for added defense. Slung across her hip is what appears to be a sword belt but it more often used to house a quiver which alternatively may be found on her back. A select small sheathes may also be found looped around a supplementary sword belt but this is not always present. Bellow the armor of her hips is a well fitted, mid-toned leather that protects her torso. Over this may be added a number of extra pieces of armor including most commonly something of a brigandine bodice. Protecting her arms is a softer, lighter and more giving leather that seems to be in connection with that initial layer guarding her torso. Buckled to one shoulder is a small metal shoulder guard that serves without its twin as a guardian. Thrown over all of this is a dull black cloak with a cowl like hood to hide the better portion of her face from sight and sun alike.

    Laterality: Right handed

    Inventory: TO BE ADDED

    HISTORY:

They were “raised” together under grim circumstances. Their initial relationship formed around their affinity to be the targets of violence, ending with their forthcoming to become a stronger, combined force. They were inseparable, but most of all powerful together. Which pushed them to escape their tethers, and become their own people. Rounding each other out, and honing their abilities, their adolescence started with acts of thievery. For others mostly, regardless of how modest they were about it. Their reputation with the needy grew, and slowly, they became known, and eventually contacted by people willing to pay for their unique skills and techniques. This allowed them to not only grow into themselves more as people, but bond together until they were almost one singular person working towards a goal. Thieves, Bounty Hunters, and all around Mercenaries is what they have become in their days together, and they have never settled for anything less.
