PC Main quest causes CTD

Hey, I hope I placed this in the right forum.
I've been having troubles with my latest playthrough, every time I try to play the main quests my skyrim CTD.
I tried to find the problem in my mods but have none that modify these quests (from what I know). I started experiencing the problem in Helgen and decided to skip past it using LAL, but then it would crash whenever I spoke to the jarl of Whiterun. I used console commands to skip that conversation as well, but it keeps crashing on all quests I've tried so far. I've tried using LOOT & SSEEdit but it made no difference.
Please help, what am I to do?

Do you have any mods that have additional quests that might effect the main quests by disrupting their functionality or overlaying them?
Also, is there any way to load into a previous save before you skipped? The skip may have done something itself to cause the continuing quests to glitch out?
