Arillious sort of stayed behind the scenes as Jeroo gave an inspirational speech, something quite unlikely to come from a Vampire. He was being very noble.

It seemed as this was some sort of Debate, because Simus seemed to respond with a speech of his own, being just as noble.

Arillious did not want to get involved with this conversation, it's a waste of breath - His priority is to Simus, and if helping Jeroo along the way is something that needs to be done, then that's what he will do.

He thought he could see the Stormcloak camp begin to come into view, they were walking at a slower pace, so at this rate, they were a little more ways to go before actually reaching the doors.

Arillious then began thinking up of scenarios in which he was fighting dragons, neither of them getting the upper hand. He was blessed to have such a great imagination.

They should be at the camp in no time.

(OOC: Don't worry about it. We'll get to camp in my next post, which will be later today. Are you going to be around then, because I plant to have Alice do some RP'ing with you. Something akin to being the only person who doesn't think you're insane because she's forseen you in a dream. She doesn't know your backstory, just enough to trust you.)

After Simus' response, Jeroo-Shei was a bit dumbstruck by the effects he seemed to have on the group, they actually liked him, an archaic, sketchy, cryptic, reptilian vampire. From being hugged by Lilumae, to Simus wishing to protect him, Jeroo-Shei really could consider these mortals, "friends", and to get Jeroo-Shei to call you "friend", mortal or vampire, was a colossal challenge.

As he was following Simus to his camp, he was speechless for a bit, being dumbfounded by Simus' words as was aforementioned. But after his moments of speechlessness, Jeroo-Shei finally rose his index finger and broke the ice, "I....appreciate your loyalty, Simus, it means a lot. Back in my past centuries, Mortals have tried to burn me, chop my head off, and many other forms of execution. Had I not defeated them and escaped, I wouldn't be the walking parasatic corpse right next to you right now. But back to the point, I can't trust men and women as easily as others do, regardless of mortality or vampirism, I've been betrayed by both, but I know I can trust you, and I thank you for that. However, as you were saying about the Aedra, I know they exist. Remember I'm ancient, so I was there when Akatosh saved Nirn from Mehrunes Dagon, I may not have experienced it first hand, but when a godly presence enters the mortal world, we can feel it all over the planet. That being said, I am aware of the Aedra's existence, I just never exactly worshipped them. The only entities I can say I worship or have worshipped are Molag Bal, Sithis, and the Hist; which all Saxhleel, or "Argonians" consider sacred. I don't see why any of the Aedra would wish to save me, after disregarding them, I honestly doubt one of them would wish to save me out of all the troubled individuals on Nirn. So therefore my only hope is my minion....if it can come up with a solution in time...if not, I'll accept my death, for one cannot simply defeat Molag Bal. Even if we would somehow manage to destroy his physical form, his spirit would return to Oblivion and manifest once more in Nirn."

Jeroo-Shei paused silently and dramatically for a moment, stared thoroughly into Simus' eyes, then continued with a bit depressed tone in his voice, "We can't win, Simus...The Slasher is our only hope of my continuing existence on Mundus...."

"We'll see about that." Simus said with undaunted confidence, once Jeroo was done talking. He was happy that Jeroo acknkowledged the existance of The Divines. Even if he didn't worship them, that was enough. Considering what Jeroo was, it was refreshing to see that he believed in something other than himself. Simus had done a little of reading on Black Marsh, or Argonia as the Argonians called it, during his life. He didn't know much about The Hist other than that they were huge semi-sentiant trees and were worshipped by the Argonians. Seeing that vampirism had stripped Jeroo of his mortality but not his faith was also nice. That didn't happen very often.

A few minutes later, Simus led the group into the camp, the guards giving them no trouble thanks to Alice's prior notice and Simus actually being there this time around. The camp was a large, semi-permenant complex of tents enclosed in a wooden pallisade. It was built to be Ulfric's safe haven in The Reach and had everything an army would need, including a field hospital, a full smith, an armory, a mess tent and enough sleeping tents to acommodate over a hundred men. There was only one gate and it had to be pulled open from the inside. Two steel bars could be laid across the doors to prevent the enemy from pushing the gate open during an attack. Simus had overseen much of the camp's construction and had a large part in designing it, including a series of stone fire pits covered with iron grates outside the mess tent. When cooking meat, the fat and gristle that would normally contaminate a pan would drip through the grates and fall into the coal-filled pit. This resulted in cleaner, better tasting food and the extra fat added fuel to the fires. It was in ingenious way to cook food, and Simus prided himself on the idea.

The sun was low in the sky and the first of the day's patrols were coming in. Several campfires were being made in preperation for the fast approaching darkness and Simus dismissed his men so they might rest by them. He led the group over to the large mess tent and directed them towards the long tables and benches inside. One table in the back had several large kegs of mead and clean tankards, along with some bread and apples. The smell of grilled meat and fish was heavy in the air as the cooks on duty prepared dinner for their fellow Stormcloaks.

"Dinner should be ready soon. Please, help yourselves to some bread and mead if you're hungry now." Simus said, gesturing to the far table. Alice and Hale had met them at the gate and had now joined the group.

Alice gladly took half a loaf of bread and a tankard filled to the brim with mead and sat it down at the table nearest to the exit. She then looked at Deluge and stopped, never having noticed him before. She had been having recent dreams about a hooded mage who would be of great help in the search for someone dear to her. Considering Deluge looked exactly like the figure she had seen and they were part of a group to save her little sister, she was taken aback by his presence. She walked up to himi with a mysterious look in her eyes.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to see your face." Alice said, gently putting his hood down. Deluge was a complete stranger and normally Alice wouldn't dare touch a complete stranger, but she knew that he wouldn't mind, or at least he wouldn't resist her As she looked into his eyes, she was almost entranced by them.

"Yes." Alice said, wide eyed. "I've seen you before. You are the one from my dreams. 'The mad mage with a noble heart.' That's what Akatosh told me, and Azura confirmed this when I beseeched her. You're going to help us Deluge the Distant, and you will find the family you have wanted for so long."

Simus watched his daughter with some concern. This wasn't the first time something out of her visions was found in the real world, but it always made him nevous when it happened. Alice had a power he had never fully understood and he was always worried that she would see something to great or too terrible for her young and fragile mind to bear.

Deluge walked by some merry stormcloak soldiers who were sharing a meal. His mouth watered at the sweetrolls and mead in abundance on the table. He smirked to himself as the glowing, orange vortex of telekinesis formed in his hands, Nahkriin hanging on his chest.

"How about we arm wrestle for your sweetroll, Kinsmen?!" one of the joyous and slightly inebriated guards proclaimed to his fellow Nord. The challenge was accepted and in an instant mead was spilling on to the dirt and sweetrolls were being swept aside as the two men challenged each other's masculinity.

"Here we go." Deluge muttered as he caught grasp of the last sweetroll before it could hit the ground, and a bottle of Honningbrew slowly ensued. "Got it!" he shouted releasing his hold on the spell, which in turn sent the sweetroll and mead flying into the faces of the guards, distracted but still amused by their jest of a contest.

"Why you little-" the huskiest guard began to sputter before a green explosion of mist showered into the air.

"Phew!" Deluge fell back in relief, lowering his arms. "Haha, almost broke a sweat there." The expression on his face grew smug, as he pushed himself off of the ground. His destination? "Ha! Sweetrollll!" He snatched another sweetroll from off of the ground, wiping it on his robe. "Which wasn't the best solution." he laughed to himself again as the savory flavors graced his taste buds; moving along like he was never there.

Deluge got a good ten feet away and finished off his sweetroll; watching the large crowds commuting. There were orders, and laughter flailing overhead. He was caught off guard when a stunning young female stepped into his breathing air. His heart dropped when she asked to see his face , and then furthermore lowered his hood.

Her beautiful eyes grew wide as she seemed to sink into his own. "I've seen you before. You are the one from my dreams. 'The mad mage with a noble heart.' That's what Akatosh told me, and Azura confirmed this when I beseeched her. You're going to help us Deluge the Distant, and you will find the family you have wanted for so long."
He opened his mouth, breathless for this woman knew his name. It seemed as if noone had spoken his name in ages. Deluge lifted his hand to her face and brought it slowly down her cheek. "By Azura. You are as beautiful as the twilight." His mouth hung for a second, before he thought to cast invisibility, but something caught his wrist as well as his mind.

"Where (where) is (is) the (the) Star (Star, Star)?!" His eyes burned gray if for a second, the light then leaving his eyes as they met with the girl's once more.

"Wh-What is your name, I-I've never met anyone as gorgeous as the skies of the Moonshadow? What do I owe the grace set before me?"

As the group walked through the camp Edwin touched R'alle's arm and whispered to the Khajiit, "Its okay my friend, just stick close to me and they won't bother you. I assure it." He noticed many of the men were casting him dirty glances, likely because of his mage-like attire. Either that or the glares were directed at Arillious walking beside him. Edwin figured it was both reasons, in general nords hated both Imperials and Mages.

They arrived at the mess tent and Edwin walked up to the main table, grabbing a slice of salted pork and some kind of mystery slop in a bowl. When the little Khajiit held his hands up for food the cook looked at him as if he was a diseased skeever. Giving the man a hard glare Edwin took Ra'lle portion as well before the cook could say anything, and walked over to a nearby vacant table.

The Breton sat down and began to eat the bland food while looking casually around the place. There were a lot of big brawny Nords in this camp, Jeroo should eat well tonight at least. His eyes fell onto that newcomer mage and Alice talking about twenty feet away and he looked at the man with an intense stare. He didn't trust that mage, he was to shady for Edwins tastes. He had dealt with many shady characters in his life, and never liked doing it once. Edwin duelly hoped that Alice would not fall into that mans grasp, she seemed like a nice girl and he wouldn't want her to get hurt.

He looked around for Arillious, the young Imperial might be able to do something to distract Alice from the mage. And Edwin like Arillious much more than the arrogant and suspicious newcomer, he had honor and honorable people could be trusted to watch your back. After a moment sweeping his eyes across the tent Edwin spotted the Imperial standing near the entrance to the tent, and he waved his hand, gesturing for the man to come over to him.

Upon entering the Stormcloak camp, he wasn't quite paying attention at first. He was sort of staring around, feeling a bit awkward in the situation.

He saw Edwin staring at him, he looked back again and he was gesturing him to come over.

He was about to do just that, but Simus had to say, "Dinner should be ready soon. Please, help yourselves to some bread and mead if you're hungry now."

He completely forgot about Edwin and instead he immediately pounced at the sight of the table covered in bread and mead. He plopped himself down near the middle of the table, grabbed 3-4 pieces of bread, and 2 glasses of mead, and started to feverishly eat away.

He had eaten nothing but the cold dirt in the prison room of that vampire cave for the past 4 days. It seemed that only the passion for fighting was what gave Arillious the energy to kill Thalmor.

As food started to finally be apart of Arillious' life again, his attention span had widened, he noticed how big this camp was, it had everything it needed, it was basically a smaller version of Windhelm.

He took a quick glance over at Alice, who by the looks of it seemed to be having some sort of revelation to the rather unfamiliar mage that seemed to have joined the group at some point in time.

He looked, wide eyed, as Alice seemed to know this person... from her dreams?

He immediately looked away, and continued to examine the structure of the camp, he was too hungry to want to investigate what she was talking about.

He then happily said to anyone listening, with a whole bread stuffed in his mouth,

"One day, as I sit in my living with my children, about a half a mile west of the old Sky Haven Temple back home, I will tell them how one of my greatest accomplishments was casually walking into to a Stormcloak Camp, and eating all of their food."

He then finished drinking all of his mead, noticing there was nothing left for him, he asked,
"So when did you said dinner was again?"

Simus decided to leave Alice be. She would talk to him about it at some point, she always did. As he was grabbing himself a loaf of bread and a big tankard of mead, he saw Edwin and R'alle with big bowels of slop and he couldn't help but chuckle. They had inadvertently taken food that was meant for the legion prisoners on the far side of camp. He decided it would be best to inform them of their ignorance and spare them any emberrasment.

"I uh...I should let you guys know that you're meal is the courtesty of the slop drudge." Simus said in between chuckles, pointing to the large pot of pork and bowels of slop that were now on a cart and being wheeled out of the camp. Several of the men already eating were chuckling at the Breton and Kahjiit boy eating like prisoners. "Of course, if you guys want to eat like our legion prisoners don't let me stop you, but we're about to have steak and salmon, so I'd advise not spoiling your dinner." Simus said, unable to stop laughing. Edwin and R'alle did not look amused. "I'm sorry. It's just given the dirty looks the men have been giving you two, it's kinda funny."

He then saw Arillious inhaling some bread and mead and smiled in response to his question.

"Just a couple of minutes Arillious. I think they're just getting the salmon done, and the steaks won't be far behind." He said, pulling out a half full bottle of liquor he had procured from a small, locked chest in the corner of the tent by the table. He filled one of Arillious' mugs about a third full with it. He then activated a weak frost spell, forming two ice cubes and dropping them in the tankard. "Colovian whisky, 4E 181. You ever had it before? It'll knock you on your ass, but there's nothing smoother."

(I'm doing Alice's post separate for the sake of neatness.)

Alice really had no logical reason to trust this mage, but she did so anyway. She simply knew he could be trusted. This was the frustrating thing about her visions: they showed her a great many things, but her understanding of almost all of them was so intuitive that she couldn't explain why she believed what she believed, even to herself. Deluge made her unconfortable, but she was flattered by his comment. There were few enough women in this camp to where she was in demand, but most of the time she was simply lusted after. No one would dare try and abuse her, considering who she was, so it was more annoying than threatening. This made recieving a true complement nice to hear and Alice gave Deluge a small smile.

"Thank you." She said. "My name is Alice, and you don't owe me anything. You're a guest here, remember?"

She sat back down at her table and invited him to sit across from her. Realizing that she had taken two tankards of mead and remembering how little she could drink before falling over, she offered Deluge one of the tankards along with half a loaf of bread. As the smell of the grill came over to her, she saw that the samlon and slaughterfish were done and the steak was nearly there. The cheese was also being taken out and being sliced into small pieces. It was also accompanied with smoked sausage, crackers and a spicy mustard. Her stomach groweled at the delicious food and decided that dinner was ready.

"Dinner's ready. How about you and I get something to eat and you tell me about yourself. I don't mean to impose, but you look a little lonely." She said with a smile.

R'alle walked close to Edwin. The guards gave him dirty looks as he entered the camp. R'alle was incredible uncomfortable. He tried to get some food but the man didn't agree. Edwin gave him some food as the 2 sat down. He ate the bland food and immediately spat it out. He cleared his throat and scrapped the food of off his tongue. "I swear Nords can't cook" He sat up and walked away from the table. He looked at Edwin and whispered. "I'll get us some real food" He patted the man on the back as he left.

R'alle left the camp and took to the trees. He could see the majority of the camp from above from his perch. He looked around and spotted his prey. The flock of birds flew circles around the camp. R'alle leaned out as the flock flew near. He released his claws as he swatted the flock. 1 bird fell hitting the ground. R'alle looked down and smiled "One" . He slid down the tree nearing the ground. Before he could get there a pack of wolves came for his kill. The 3 wolves tore R'alles bird to pieces.

He frowned as he walked out on a branch directly above the wolves. He quietly slid off the branch grabbing it with his hands. He dangled as a wolf stepped backwards. R'alle let go falling on the wolf. A loud crunch and yelp filled the air. R'alle leaped on the other wolf stabbing it's windpipe pulling out. The third wolf tackled R'alle biting his arm. R'alle yelped and kicked the wolf in the head. He spun to a stand and stood a defensive stance. The wolf turned and ran.

R'alle chuckled "Coward." He dragged one wolf to the camps entrance. He dropped it and looked at the guard. "Help?" The guard whistled and another Nord came and dragged the wolf away. R'alle jogged back to the other wolf and dragged it back to the camp. He dragged it to the mess tent and dropped on the floor. He will all of his strength to pick the beast up and drop it on the table in front of Edwin.

"Any one have any seasoning?" He asked the question as he rubbed his bleeding arm.

Edwin raised his eyebrows as Simus came over to the two of them and told them about the food situation. "Ah I see. Most amusing, I never expected such whit," He looked over to the cook who was smirking and stood up, giving him a patronizing bow, "Your intellect is astounding sir! You should be a bard rather than a cook," the Nords about them continued to chuckle and Edwin gave them all a smile, although he expected their 'joke' was far from good natured.

R'alle said something about going to get them a real meal and he darted out of the tent before Edwin could say anything. He gathered up the bowls of slop and took them back over to the cook giving the man another insincere smile and dropping them down in front of him, "There you are my friend. I would hate for this to be wasted."

He went back and sat down at the table ignoring the looks from the Stormcloaks. Soldiers. They were so annoying in numbers. He had encountered many patrols from both sides of the Civil war in taverns and inns and they were always the loudest and drunkest. Looking over to the entrance he noticed Arillious was sitting with the other soldiers. Some seemed to be cautious to the Imperial, but the men on the patrol who had befriended him had vouched for Arillious and they all seemed to be warming up to the man so similar to them. Edwin shook his head as he watched, these thickheaded soldiers didn't seem to understand that if they would only get past the color of their uniforms they might find they weren't all thad different from each other. War, so stupid.

After a few minutes R'alle returned, dragging a wolf almost as big as he was. Edwin stood up and opened his mouth in amazement before laughing out loud. "HAHA! Well done R'alle, I am sure this will be more than enough to repay the good cook." He winked at the Khajiit and raised his hands up into the air. The dead wolf floated up into the air and slowly drifted over to the cook were it dropped heavily upon the table before him. "There you are my friend! Payment in full for your lost food, if you could call it that..." He gave the man a smirk as he glared furiously at the Breton and collected a portion of the real food from further down the table, handing a portion to R'alle as they sat back down.

His head hurt so much. Perhaps it was due to the extremely long day, not to mention the fact that they had not only cleared a cave full of vampires, but also eliminated a Thalmor patrol! Not to bad for the first day or so knowing these people, Hale thought.

Nursing his aching temples, Hale found himself a mug and poured himself a large glass of ale. Sitting down by a fire in the darkening night, Hale drained half the mug out of the day's stress.

Casting a glance over around the rest of the camp, the girl Alice caught Hale's eye. Smiling to her, he made a motion with his head to let her know that she should join him.

Simus came up to him, at least one person was listening to him banter, he didn't quite know if the other Stormcloaks seemed to be listening.

"Just a couple of minutes Arillious. I think they're just getting the salmon done, and the steaks won't be far behind.

Then, without asking, Simus started to refill his mug, and used his magical powers to form ice, making this exquisite drink cold.

"Thank you." He said, as Simus finished pouring.

He took a sip, it was as cold as a Nord Housewife.

He looked up at Simus, stunned. His mouth and eyes wide open, he then looked down, staring at the drink, as if it were a new species of man. He looked up at Simus again.

He seemed to understand his gesture, because then he answered,

"Colovian whisky, 4E 181. You ever had it before? It'll knock you on your ass, but there's nothing smoother."

"Simus, I have fought Dragons, Vampires, Thalmor, Frost Trolls, and have run into a Giant or two. Are you telling me this is going to physically affect me?"He said in a jokingly but partly serious tone.

He took a huge swig, the taste was magnificent, but at the same time, unbearable.

His head jolted back and forth a little bit, he was still a kid, and had started drinking for maybe only a year now, so he's always ever been all talk and no game when it came to drinking.

Simus was not kidding, the drink was very strong, and Arillious nearly fell back off of his chair, he laughed, the other soldiers around him started laughing, the burly Nords seemed to think drinking was nothing. There was no doubt Simus could see the effect it had on him as well.

It was all fun, but Arillious was a big kid, and a big kid has to eat.

Continuing in his jokingly serious tone, he tried to change the subject:

"Tell the cook I like my steak rare, and to sear it on both sides. 3 please."

The amount of mead he had consumed was slowly taking it's toll, turning Arillious into a more laid-back, worry free kind of kid.

"And make sure you get a spot near me Simus, I'm a hell of a good time."

R'alle laughed his hardest at the cook. He knew it was military but he found it hard to believe no one had time to hunt. He was amazed as Edwin willed the kill in the air. It floated over to the cook. It dropped and R'alle laughed again the cook seemed frightened.

Edwin passed him a portion still smiling. R'alle took it and bit into it like a dragon does a mammoth. His large canines pierced the flesh and slid easily onto his tongue. He chew the wolf softly savoring the meal. He looked over at Edwin and spoke "Don't you just love fresh food?" Some wolf bits landed on R'alles tunic. He brushed off the food frustratingly not wanting to stain his only armor.

Dro-Do Zatharka was wandering, then again when was he not. The elderly khajiit had no home so it seemed, yet he was not homeless. He looked into the forest it was beautiful in its own way, Zatharka knew the hidden dangers of the forest but he still would watch it in wonder sometimes.

Zathakra had been meditating in this forest for the last week. The fresh air seemed to keep the old monk young. Even the animals seemed to accept this old hermit. Zatharka's nose twitched, and he finally opened his eyes. And he smelled it a faint smell of meat.

"This one wonders what that could be..." Zatharka mused outloud. Hopefully it wasn't bandits, Zatharka was many things, but he was no longer a warrior. Dusting off his simple monk robes Zatharka headed towards the smell. Zahtarka decided he was going to watch, learn, and then take action.

The cook gave Edwin and R'alle a sour look. It was his job to make stew and bake bread while the grillers handled the meat. At no point in time did his job include dealing with idiot outsiders who made a fool of him. Certainly not in his mess tent. He was an average built, balding man but his face was hard and aged.

"I'm gonna let dat one slide since you're friends wit da Captain." He said (think the butcher in Markarth's voice.) "But even his influence has its limits so I'm gonna warn ya once: No animals in da mess tent. No dead ones eider, dey go in da back wit da rest o da meat. And no cats. I hate cats." He said, giving R'alle a hard look that clearly stated that if they weren't friends of Simus, he'd be out of this tent right now. He than took a large cleaver and chopped off the leg R'alle was chomping down on. He lifted the rest of the wolf off the table and put it over his shoulders.

"I'm gonna take dis back an' prepare it for breakfast tomorrow. I warn ya Kahjit: I find ya in my kitchen, ya go in da stew. Are we clear?"

Simus came over after hearing this. He set his huge plate of steak, salmon, bread, and sausage down, along with a fresh tankard of mead and a small cup of mustard. He was not happy with this solider's treatment.

    "Something wrong here?" He asked.

"No sir. Sorry sir." The cook said, having come back after putting the wolf in the back and saluting Simus.

"Is that so?" Simus said, crossing his arms across his chest. "Because I could have sworn I heard you threaten one of my guests."

"Dat cat's foulin' up my mess tent sir! Ya know dey steal anythin' that isn't-"

"I didn't ask for your opinion soldier. Don't give it to me." Simus said, getting into the man's face and being a couple of inchest taller. "Now you show these two where the beer and steaks are, or I'm gonna show you where the plops buckets are. Understand?"

"Aye sir." The cook said, clearly unhappy about this, but not about to challenge the man in charge. He looked to Edwin and R'alle and gestured where the food was being placed. "All da food's on da table right in front of ya. If ya need more a sometin, go across da tent by da exit an' tell da grillers. Dey'll bring a fresh plate over to da table. Don't take anytin' until dey set da plate down. Now you boys enjoy your dinner an' I hope ya choke on it."

He then went back to a large stew pot he was stirring. Despite the man's rotten attitude, the gumbo in the pot smelled delicious. He went on muttering about how Skyrim was being taken over by beasts and elves and about how it just wasn't right.

Simus than turned to his two friends and picked up his dinner.

"Don't mind him, he's always cranky. There's a reason we call him Hod the Happy. You guys help yourselves to whatever you want. It'll tase a lot better than that slop, trust me." Simus said. "I'll be over there next to Arillous, Friga, Stefan, Erik and Ralof. You guys are more than welcome to join us, or there's Alice and Deluge over there sitting closest to the grills, though it looks like they're in heavy conversation. Either way, please eat to your fill. You guys have earned it." He said, making ready to go back over to Arillious, but staying for a moment in the hopess that they would join him.

Looking around, Hale was outside drinking next to a campfire and motioning Alice to come over. Alice, already engaged with Deluge, motined for him to come and join them. Simus had concerned about this mysterious mage, but he was glad to see that Alice was trying to make him feel welcome. She seemed to be the only one trying to reach out to him. Maybe the kid was just lonely?

Back at his table, Arillious was looking rather unstable. He had laughed so hard at one of Ralof's jokes that his chair nearly toppled over. Friga and Erik caught the boy and proped him upright, making some jest of a comment about how Imperial boys shouldn't drink with Nord men. Everyone at the table was having too much to drink, so it was funny when Friga said it, considering she was still a woman. Simus was happy to see such comradship between supposed enemies. It was a long day and everyone was here to have a good time.

This war couldn't end soon enough.

As the cook called over vague threats to Edwin he looked back with a mock expression of horror, continuing to patronize the man. Then the cook decided to threaten R'alle and Edwins jaw hardened. He gripped his hidden dagger firmly and was about to respond with a threat of his own when Simus stepped in. The Imperial Stormcloak shouted down his cook like any good superior officer and then turned to Edwin, apologizing for the mans actions and inviting him and R'alle over to the larger table with Arillious and the others from the troop. Edwin smiled politely at the offer but shook his head, "Ah, no. I am sorry Simus, but I am not really one to fit in with the soldier crowd if you know what I mean."

The commander left and Edwin sat back down next to R'alle. He agreed with the Khajiit's statement about fresh food, "Indeed. Nothing like fresh venison cooked over an open fire. Best part of being on the road." As the ate Edwin noticed R'alle's bleeding arm, "R'alle you have a wound! You should have told me." He gently took R'alles arm and channeled healing magic into it. He was not the best healer but it wasn't a very serious injury so within a matter of seconds it was completely healed. He grinned at the Khajiit, "You are quite the warrior my friend! Tell me, did you really kill all those wolves by yourself?" he leaned to the side on the bench and took out a dagger, spinning it between his fingers as he often did while talking.
