PC I'm having a problem in "Escort esbern to riverwood"

When i had this obejctive to make, i fast traveled to riverwood, spoke to delphine, and i told her he is on his way.. but she says its dangerous for him and i need to go help him

so im still stuck in this objective and the marker is always pointing at delphine.. i have nothing to tell her anymore :/

what should i do now ?
how do i escort him?

Dont worry i had the exact same problem Firstly go back to the ratway and go straight down to where you first talked to esbern. Esbern will be right outside his room and he will finish talking about something and then he will say lets go. Then you take him to delphine! (talk to brynjolf in the ragged flaggon in the ratway if you want to join the thieves guild and he will give you a quest called innocence lost or something.

i went back there and esbern wasnt there

Wow thats a real problem. O...k you may need to start again because that is a glitch which i got too but when i went back he was there. Or your going to have too forget about the main storyline and do other quests. I would highly recomend retracing your steps and see if hes there or not and if he isnt just start again, sorry but that is as much as you can do I hope this helps!

Problem solved just while i was doing another quest, i saw esborn in the inn, over delphine

I escourted Esbern, and he just stands and pseudo talks to Delphine (Since he doesn't actually seem to say anything) but I don't get credit for getting him there, no matter what.

What gives?

Got the same problem. Esbern just stand there and nothing happens. So I just hit a guy with a sword untill he fell down. (you cant actually kill him since he is a quest person). Esbern stood up and the main quest continued.

Hej i got problems with this quest to
first i ran to riverwoord to and talked to delphine.
i went back to the ratway and found esbern again now he is in skyrim but he wont follow me he is walking in front of me and looks like he dont know the way he gets offroad everytime and bumps into mauntains or water and walks back.
walking with him like 30 min now whats should i do
i tryed to talk with him and i sad wait here... then say follow me then he continues his endless walk again

Press the tilde button (~) to open the command console; type the following:

player.setstage mq202 200

I believe that finishes the quest, if not then

player.setstage mq202 300

but I think that triggers the next quest... Which is fine because it is just a conversation with Delphine.

ehh problem solved, start the escort, fast travel to riverwood , rent a room at the Inn at delphine's place, sleep 10 hours and esbern will be standing outside your room when u wake up, happy?

I've tried everything, but not solved. Someone? I'm stuck in this quest.

I did to tell back to riften, then back to river wood, wait 24hours. Go inside inn. Worked for me back in the day

Try talking to Delphine or Esbern again, or try going down into the secret room and waiting for them there.

Heres how to finesh this quest
1. after hes in the room with tha chick under the closit or w/e hit him with [ Unrelenting Force ]
2. Leave the building walk about 10 steps away
3. Quest Completed

For those who could not, I found the solution.
In the console, type this:
1 - completequest MQ203 [ENTER] (To finish the quest "Alduin's Wall")
2 - player.setstage MQ204 10 [ENTER] (To start the next quest)

Well I to am having a problem with this quest but it is a little different and has me worried. After exiting the ratways with esbern and my henchman I fast travelled to Riverwood and we all three appeared outside the town as usual. I heard the music change and someone yell "stop thief" and thought we were being attacked but it was an actual thief so I killed the thief. Then my bodyguard "henchman" (gifted to me by Whiterun for being a Thane) attacks Esbern and the guards get involved. I run into the Inn to talk to Delphine and they attack me as well. Its a real mess. So I run out of the town and sneak and hide. I tell my bodyguard to wait and go into the Inn alone. I am immediately attacked by Delphine, Esbern and the workers. So I fast travel back to Riften, and upon appearing am immediately attacked by city guards. Not sure what to do.
