That's easy to say if you say without knowing a person's circumstances. In reality, I live in a pain filled world as I am partially crippled, so spending long periods of time gaming is my release.

There was a time ( Up until 2000 ) when I spent more time outside surfing or snow boarding or hunting or mountain climbing or racing cars, but these days I spend up to 12 hours day just gaming.

You are completely right. It is easy to say without knowing someones circumstances. But you, I, and other disabled folks are an exception. No one can say a thing against what we decide to do to pass time. Because video games are a great release. Although I can't bear to play a game for more that two hours at a time, and i'm am still able to do some mechanical work. But limited to what I used to could do.

But if your a (mostly) healthy young person. Then yes I agree, put the game down for a while and go ride a bike or something. 53 hours of gaming a week really is not good for you physically and socially.

My ailment is a terribly crushed knee cap from a over pressured tractor hydraulic hose that busted on me. And thankfully after a long time, is getting a bit better everyday. Also, the joke "I used to be a farmer, but then I took a tractor to the knee" joke has already been made on these forums. Because I knew a knee joke would be coming this time.

Watch out for hop-ons.
Saying there's too much Skyrim is like saying there's too much cow bell.

Mine was a combination of several accidents, the 1st one was a tractor accident in 1980, which crushed both my legs, twisted my spine & dislocated both my shoulders. I was told that I would never walk again but within 2 years I was surfing on the amateur circuit, mountain climbing, etc.

The 2nd was an accident at home in 2000, I twisted suddenly & tore out 3 discs in my Lumbar Spine ( L2, L3 & L5 ). After spending 6 months in traction the specialists said that by the time I was 40 I would be wheel chair bound. I'm 49 next month & I'm still not in that chair.

Then about 2 years ago when my left shoulder just collapsed, the worse thing about it is that I am left handed.
Now I have limited mobility in my legs, constant back pain & a semi paralysed left shoulder & arm. I am a sole parent with 2 teenage kids ( Daughter 17 & Son 14 ) & I game as much as them & possibly more at times. Especially as I average about 4 - 5 hours sleep a night.

Wow you played almost 54 hours in 2 weeks, that's 22 hours per week. In a good week I get 9 or 10 hours. I salute your time-management skills sir!

Is there a way to check how much you've played Skyrim on Xbox ?
