Entry 18 I made my way back to Riverwood and sold off some of my loot. There was no arcane enchanter in this village, so I decided to go ahead back to Whiterun since it was still early afternoon. On the road I was attacked by a few wolves and a Khajiit thief. He had a nice scaled armor and a glass dagger. I took the dagger for enchanting practice later, but found the scaled armor too large for me to carry without wearing so I left it behind. There was a Khajiit caravan out front of Whiterun. I immediately thought back to the thief and wondered if they knew him or would recognize his dagger. I decided to keep the dagger hidden while I traded with them. I found a nice piece of steel plate armor with a 30 point health enchantment. This was an easy investment. It cost me over 2,500 gold, but gave me much more protection than my current steel set, and only weighed 3 pounds more. I traveled up to Dragonsreach and went to the enchanters table for more practice. I enchanted my silver greatsword with a common gem for 10 points of frost damage. I enchanted a few trinkets from my loot, and turned around to sell them to Belethor, making some gold back from my armor purchase. I haven’t found any enchantments I’d like on my boots or gauntlets yet, so those remain unenchanted. I am definitely liking the look of this new steel plate armor along with my helm. It makes me appear somewhat noble, and somewhat dastardly. I spent the rest of the day shopping and talking to the locals. It’s hard to believe I conquered the underwater fort full of necromancers just this morning. I am currently halfway through my fourth tankard of ale and will be retiring for the night soon. I’ll make the walk back to Winterhold tomorrow to give Nelacar the star. I will also go visit Urag at the library, and maybe a few professors at the college, namely the conjuration and destruction specialists.
