General difficulty

I'm not sure why chain lightning wouldn't cast in combat. It seemed to case when I tested earlier.

Ya, I got to the temple and cured disease. Hopefully it won't interfere with Dawnguard.

Any idea why chain lightning seems to unreliably cast? I got it to work sometimes.

I did the quest in winterhold to get a staff and piece of jewelry returned, but didn't see any reward.

I have a horse, and I found a horse I can steal. I wonder if one horse is better than another? I can't seem to give the new horse to Lydia.

What should a mage do with jewelry, sell or save for crafting? Same for dragon bones.

Are ruined books worth saving for spells from the forge? How many? Constantly encumbered...
