Duchess Of Three Streams
Galewood

Galewood was not accidentally placed next to a central river system that runs from the beginning of the town where a large rocky basin creates a waterfall that bashes down 3 outcropped stones rocks befor landing within the calm central stream below. Flowing at a neutral rate from the waterfall, the water supplies the town with much needed resources that allow it to stay standing. Being built around the Third era by a few miners and fisherman who had rebelled against unruly law. Starting off as some small tents and encampments the town grew and flourished over the time as several people began to help build the town up. After 15 long years of building and constructing the town was built maybe not to perfection but it had many of the basics a town needed. A small alchemical shop placed right near a small stone bridge that goes over the river, large town barracks and a small underground jail that is made purely out of stone and steel.

There are 3 main buildings in the town, the lumber mill and a large farm known as Frollystad Farm, those tow buildings together supply the whole town with any needed things, and the third and most important building is the longhouse. Jarl Borruk is an Orc, who’s family generations date back to the very first beginning of the town where his people built the town up. Borruk is a stern and proud leader who has led his people to peace and prosperity over the 14 years rule he has held. Being a follower of Arkay Borruk has made many plans and aided in the construction of new things within his town. A large temple of Arkay was built with stone from Chilmend Mine as well as Wood and building supplies that aided its construction. Behind that temple was a hall of dead for well the dead.

Galewood may not look like much but the Jarl intends to make it a town worth living in, there resources are varied which allows the town to be a good center point of trading. Jarl Borruk has managed to contain a good and peacefull town for his rule over it, and he intends to with any disturbance or threat towards his town or people he will deal with personally and violently.

Frollystad Farm

Frollystad is a family name that derives from one of the very first people that ever called Galewood home, it came from a miner by the name of Rivnen a Dark Elf with a bitter and brutal personality. His wife and daughter began the very early plotting of the farm back during the tent ages of Galewood, but once the town started to come alive Rivnen and his family began to get the needed resources to build this large farm that held over 30 different types of ingredients and food from leeks and apple trees to ever the rarest crimson Nirnroot. Thus the town became a central hub for trade and merchandise food wise. The farm supplied the town in return for very little, around 100 gold which was not much to ask for since they were doing so much hard labour for the town you would think they deserve more. When Galewood became fully established the farm had grown and soon was almost a life source to Galewood since it supplied almost 60% of the towns needed resources. A daughter of the Frollystad family soon studied and learned in the ways of alchemy and set up the Mammoths Lillypot, the only alchemist store in the entire town.

Mammoths Lillypot

Balnali Frollystad was the only official student of Alchemy in the town, she soon raised her own income from working in the mines, a hard and rough labour for a girl. Reaching the age of adulthood she set out to become independent in her studies she went far and wide all around tamrial studying and learning of many of the flora in the vast and cultivated land. Returning to Galewood she set out to build her own store which she would later name Mammoths Lillypot, the name is still questioned about how she came up with it and her story goes tat she met a mammoths named Lillypot who was raised by a Breton mage, that Breton also taught Balnali many useful alchemical tricks when working in the business. Having soon getting her first store in tact and ready to supply Galewood with Potions and poisons.

Priest Vincoranin

During the construction of the great temple of Arkay the priest who was to care for the temple and anything else that was needed for Arkay’s sake. Vincoranin was the priests name, a middle aged Breton with a strong belief in the Divine an Arkay being his chosen Divine to follow to death as he says. During the early construction days of the temple there was quite a bitter argument between a resident of Galewood and Priest Vincoranin. Ocatntiersanon was the citizens name, he was a young cunning and fiercely loyal Altmer that followed in the strict beliefs of the Eight Divine. Vincoranin and Ocatntiersanon argued over the sake that Ocatntiersanon had belief the Priest had faith still in Talos. From a simple verbal dispute to a more violent attack of words the Priest and the Altmer had quite fierce loyalty battles with words. Ocatntiersanon started to almost rave to the townspeople about how the Priest was unfaithful and unfaightful to the Eight Divines about how he was a liar and a coward.

During those bitter battles it had caught the attention of the Jarl who then had to take matters into his own hands by force, once the temple or chapel was constructed over a time period of 4 months Ocatntiersanon and Vincoranin had many bitter-sweet arguments about there loyalty towards the Divine and in the end Jarl Borruk demanded they shake hands and have a gentleman’s agreement never to speak about there loyalty towards the divine or they would be fined and jail. Both unwanting to give up there bitter verbal battles towards each other they submitted to the Jarls will and agreed to never speak to each other about it ever again. Vincoranin had prepared the temple with the needed furnishings and shrines as well as walking around Galewood and blessing those who were ill trying to make a good name not just for him but for Arkay.

Sister Avery

After the chapel or temple of Arkay and its hall of the dead was complete the priest had sent word out to fellow brotherhoods and sisterhoods of the Divines to come and aid him in much needed worship and duties in his new Chapel of Arkay. Eventually Sister Avery made her way to Galewood, sent from a Divine sisterhood she was both young and wise with a charismatic personality and a loving gentle, kind hearted soul. Originally she was learning of all the Divines and studying all of them but soon she was focused on only Arkay which brought her travels to Galewood, Priest Vincoranin was pleased that she came to aid him within a few months. Young and very well talented with her skills to adapt to new situations fast she was soon to become a key asset in the temple. while the priest was out aiding the townspeople she stayed behind and prayed to Arkay or did her duties by cleansing the hall of the dead and sometimes aiding the lost traveller or helping in a burial of a noblemen.

After a long study and fellowship under the Priest he gave her full rights and acts as a sister, meaning she had all will to do as she wanted in the name of Arkay, excited and pleased with her hard efforts finally paying off she soon followed in the Priest footsteps going around Galewood aiding the sick and tending to whatever other duties had to be done. There was one problem with Sister Avery, during donations she would take a septim or two for herself to spend on mead or brew. Frowned upon and soon caught out by Vincoranin, Avery learnt the hard way that she must give her life to Arkay and follow not just in his rules but follow by the Nine Commandments of the Eight Divines. She may stopped herself from stealing coin but her drinking problem seemed to increase over the years, she soon suffered from heavy withdrawals were she was almost a disgrace to the Sisterhood.

Vincoranin once again fixed her up but it took alot of his time away from the people now trying to fix her addiction and problems, which he scoulded her for and using a more forceful and dominant approach he managed to see her eye to eye. Avery still struggles now and again but she feels better and can now be a full time sister aiding in any way she can .

Blacksmith Bolheim Autumn-Shield

žBorn and raised in the harsh and rough lands of skyrim Bolheim was a tough and strong member of his clan Autumn-Shield. During construction of Galewood the Autumn-Shields were miners and hunters that supplied to town with much needed ore and meats. Bolheim father was a hunter that new the lands around Galewood like the back of his hand. Clan Autumn-Shield had fabled battles during the third and fourth era of Tamrial, some of the Clan even dates as far back as the first era. Their efforts and aid to Galewood during its construction was unspoken of due to the family having a strong influence during the first age of Galewood. Jarl Larffnild was the first Jarl of Galewood and was the great grandfather to Bolheim. Galewood was still very small during its early days of life but once law and order was established Larffnild ordered the construction of an Inn and blacksmith which took allot of the needed gold from the treasury and keep. Thy Jarls thick nord blood made him stubborn and focused, so when he took allot of the gold to spend on much needed building materials he promised to pay them back.

ž

žSteward Jhoza a redguard believed that Larffnild would not be able to pay back the town the gold he had spent on the construction of the towns two first main buildings. Jhoza had challenged the Jarrls promise and gave very valid points to how he should pay back the towns large debt. Larffnild was quite displeased with the actions that were suggested, although he did not have much of a choice if he was to give the town its gold back he needed to change allot of things. During the construction of the blacksmiths Bolheim was just a youngling who was being taught how to hunt by his father. Jarl Larffnild had a plan for his Clan, disputes had broken out between the Clan and soon Larffnild had to finalize his orders. Bolheim was to be taught the way of smithing and mining either by force or peacefully. Once Bolheim had turned 16 he was the given full permission and ownership of the blacksmith, thus he started his hard labour like life as a blacksmith forging and creating weapons and armour as well as mending and fixing armours and weapons.

ž

žBolheim may have not liked the job that was chosen for him but he had to like it one way or another, clan Autumn-Shield still had signifigent hold in the town of Galewood and over the time of 6 years the debt was paid and soon gold and resources flourished thus allowing the town great prosperity. Clan Autumn-Shield still kept a strong influence over the town with there nord blood, soon the very first town election was going to beging in the town centre a population of around 44 people gathered in the town centre to vote for a new Jarl or give Clan Autumn-Shield there power back. However there was a new presences in the elections usually its between Clan Autumn-Shield and the house of Frollysted competing for the power. An Orc had established himself as a worthy advasary in teh campaing for political power, he expressed his views freely and in the end obtained the power with almost the entire town voting him saying he was going to lead them to prosperity for tehre entire life, which in the end he is still leading them and giving them peace and prosperity.

Pain and Mangled was the name of the blacksmith store, the only and last standing place that has Clan Autumn-Shield influence and history as Bolheim still crafts and designs weapons and armour for everyone that comes to him, the best part is he sells at a fine and fair price that allows hi to get great profit.

Champions,Crusaders..Warriors

After the construction of the chapel and hall of dead both dedicated in the name of the Divine Arkay. Travelers and townsfolk alike soon became dedicated worshipers of Arkay. One folk in particular was an Argonian named Sleekvis Scalen, he was originally a traveler who took rest in the local Inn before meeting with the priest of Arkay Vincorinen. Sleekvis was young, strong and fit he had traveld from Black marsh to Hammerfell and from Hammerfell to Skyrim, driven by his own goals he was a sell sword a hired mercenary who had no remorse. Sleekvis met with the Jarl at the time and took it upon himself to help the town by clearing out old ruins nearby and a small fort to the south of Galewood that was occupied by necromancers and marauders. Upon clearing out the Fort he became a devout worshiper of Arkay under the influence of the Priest that was in Galewood. Giving up his sell swording he took it upon himself to create a group that would become known as the Guardians of Arkay, crusaders who protected the town and most importantly the chapel of Arkay.

Sleekvis was a cunning leader of the group who did everything for Arkay and Arkay only, he sought the destruction of any threat that would crush the town and Chapel. Almost an extremist of Arkay he sought out fellow warriors and champions even gladiators who soon followed under Sleekvis’s law. Coming strong with 20 odd members he took control of the fort that he had cleared of the marauders and necromancers. Soon the Order Of Arkay or Guardians of Arkay was established in that fort where it become the almost protections of the town. They were slimier to the Vigilents of Stenderr although these members of Arkay wore either light or heavy raiment’s or silver and steel like armor that had the symbol of Arkay carved into the armor.

“Today we stand as the protectors of our good soul god Arkay, his rule will not be questioned his power will be shown through our hearts, our soul!”

Part of the great chant of Arkay created by Sleekvis who was someone to be feared and someone that would truly put fear in the hearts of the enemies of Arkay.

Brewmaster Hassdara

Having a strong religious view in the town of Galewood can be trouble for certain people but for the Khajiit known as Hassdara it was even more profit gain for him. Learning under some of the great brewmasters of all time Hassdara gained many connections and that allowed him to maintain a good legal and illegal profit through his strong Brew. Spiced Wines, honey mead, brandy as well as some strong ale that had a secret ingredient. Hassdara had to manage to gain enough coin to pay for all the materials and resources needed to start up a basic brewery, in the spand of 6 months Hassdara managed to get his Brews working and made even designing new drinks for the townsfolk to taste. In the early years of Hassdara’s life as a Brewmaster he had to use any and all means of getting the needed ingredients to create not just the basic brews but some very fancy brews to impress and get the Jarls and other noble peoples attention.

Being a Khajiit traveling merchant aloud him to have strong connections around many of Tamrials lands, thus he could collect and obtain rare and almost unthinkable ingredients to craft his fine brews. Early construction started after Jarl Borruk was elected and within the span of a few months Hassdara had what he wanted and started to brew fine wines, ales and brandy as well as the generic stuff for those who could not afford the more fancier stuff.

Hielk Hideout

One and only hideout you will find and wide creations of all beverages from all Tamrial, paid and protected by none otehr then the Brewmaster Hassdara of Galewood, he is not only a Brewmaster but almost a kingpin of illegal activities in the Galewood regions, Skooma, Sleeping Tree Sap, Moon Sugar, Hist Sap. Variety in the drugs that are supplied to Hassdara is in a large profit gain for him. paying the town guards to look the other way when large caravans of illicit drugs and offen beverages galore.

Created mainly for the creation of these illgal things Hassdara also brings in Profit for the Jarl allowing the Jarl to keep his mouth shut so he dose not spread any illegal rumors.

Innkeeper Neeradeeh

If not the first building ever constructed and possibly the oldest standing building in the town, its wooden and straw outside are both well maintained and clean. Not being able to see through the small pane windows may be a good or bad things but once inside the hearth of the fire warms your soul and the joyful townspeople and travelers join in song and dance. Neeradeeh tries his best to keep the tavern clean and well maintained as well as keeping his customers fulled with beverage. Hard working miners will often stop by to get a bellyful of mead and meats. Thy inn has not always been like this during its early days barely anyone would come in for alot of the town had some darker history during its early construction. Located or built in the southern part of the town it is kept and maintained all within a days hard work inside and out. People often wonder how the Inn has been standing for so long and question how it is so well preserved.

Conflicts

Early construction of the inn was quite poplar in the town, for it was one of the earliest built buildings behind the mill and mine as well as Frollysted farm. Many would see the town is quite well kept and clean under the guidance and law of the Jarl, but not many would tell you of the dark past the town had during the construction of Moonshade inn. Early in on the construction of the Inn the two noble families if you would call them that were in the middle of a violent conflict of who should rule the town. Moonshade inn was a key piece to the holdings of the town and both the Autumn-Shields and Frollysted families wanted it. Unsure of how the conflict would end a younger member of the Frollsted family Hushma seeked guidance from Talos, of course during the past years worship of Talos was outlawed and frowned upon.

Hushma wanted his family to obtain the Inn but feared a violent action would be taken to obtain the Inn, during prayer to Talos he claims that the god spoke to him and told him to find an equal to hold the inn so no bloodshed would happen. This so called commanded forced Hushma out of his comfort zone. Looking almost far and wide within the town he had to think of an equal and what did it mean by equal. During his last expedition into the mines to watch the hard labor he came across and Argonian mother mining with her child and that child was Neeradeeh. Questioning the women and confused about how a mother had to work in the mines with her, the response he got was so frightening and upsetting Hushma felt her pain. Hushma sought out more guidance from Talos and soon thought that the Argonian women was and equal she was a widowed miner with a child who was sleeping out in the wilds due to not being welcome in either of the Mining camps due to her child.

Feeling disgusted with what she had to due Hushma sought out his own actions, having enough of listening to the bickering coming from both families he made a finale stand and demanding they lay down and let the women run the inn he spoke clearly and sternly almost demanding they allow this women and home after telling them her story. Unfourtuantly his family was angered by his actions the Frollysted would not back down however the Nord family felt guilt and soon stood by Hushma’s side fighting against the Frollysted side. “Have a heart do not be greedy for power you already have plans for this giant farm and have occupied to land, there is no more need for you to obtain power” A nords response and action against the Frollysted family which soon brought them to a halt. Hushma smiled as his family laid down to the responce and gave in overjoyed he seeked out to find the Argonain women who was camping up north in a forest area near a small stream.

Tragedy

Hushma made his way towards the encampment, what he was going to see was not what he wanted to witness. Frollysted family Hushma’s own family had ridden to the encampment and beaten the Argonian mother almost to her death. Upset over there foul actions had had to witness the mothers own demise, one person he did not see was the child Neeradeeh. Searching far and wide he found the Argonain child hiding in the stream, due to the Argoanians being able to breath underwater the child had hid in the deepest part of the stream and witnessed what they did to his mother. Hushma found the boy who was only about 7 at the time, taking the boy and riding back to Galewood he rushed and vaulted over trees and decayed land befor reaching the town. Usually he would seek shelter with his family but he walked to the Autumn-Sheilds with the Argonain boy and told the family of the horrific actions his family did.

Enraged by what they heard the Autumn-Shields took arms this time they were not stopping at anyone’s orders, the elder lead his small troop to the Frollysted manor which was located on the far side of the stream way. Something so brutal to witness but actions that needed to be taken for justice. The aftermath was quite disturbing but it was needed the Nord family had marched onto the property of Frollysted family and started to beat them senseless. If you were ever wondering death did happen allot of it on both sides. Bloodshed was the action taken for vengeance against the cruel act the Dark elves had committed on the widowed mother,Neeradeeh was at the Autumn-Shield clan house waiting for the return he understood what was happening and was unhappy himself thinking about what the dark elves did to his mother.

“Neeradeeh will be a Autumn- Sheild from this day not fighting against that, the poor child must not have to live with witnessing what the Frollysted family did to his mother, I will not let harm happen to that child he will be protected by my clan and fed and well kept by them. He will be raised a Nord and will also be taught the life of any normal Argoanian.”

Said by the Elder or leader of the Clan at the time Thoric, he was now raising Neeradeeh like a son of his own kin.
