    Deliverance from his Vigilance
    By: Specter of Death

"Stendarr have mercy on you, for the Vigil has none to spare.

    vig▪il▪ant
adjective: keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties
    ur▪gent
adjective: requiring immediate action or attention
This world is filled with creatures and beasts, heros and villains. You think you've seen evil? You dare to venture into the depths of an Oblivion Plane? Dare to think the darkest beings have already been seen, and defeated? You've seen nothing. Witnessed no real evil. The Void is home to the darkest, vilest beings imaginable. Filled with endless evil, and copius darkness. All of which, searching for a means to escape that realm, a means to enter our world, to destroy it. Like windows, they view Nirn through the eyes of innocents like you and I. Like doorways or portals, they use death and worship of the darkness to gain temporary passage to the world.
You act like you know, like you have experience with this evil. You do not. You have practiced with those sworn to defend, the Vigilants. Maybe only once, as a mercenary, or initiate. Or maybe countless times for many years. But what you have seen holds no comparison to what you might see with the Urgents of Stendarr.
So only one thing remains for you to decide: Will you prove yourself in the face of true evil? Or will you remain in your ignorance of the true darkness this world may have in store?

This RP is going to be about a group of Excorcists and Demonhunters called the Urgents of Stendarr. They are similar to the Vigilants, however they take on the extreme cases, which makes their group smaller. You have heard about a group of Urgents searching for more people. They have been investigating a lot of strange incidents in the province of Skyrim, many of which have led to the deaths of Vigilants and Urgents of Stendarr alike, as well as many murders of innocrnt people and mysterious rumors.
Charcters will be considered for acceptance based on there uniqueness and quality. A variety of characters will be accepted as well. I would quicker go for a mage and an assassin, rather than 2 mages. The reasoning for your character's condideration for joining the Urgents must also be well thought out.

So, I decided to check out the RP section because I was thinking about creating my own RP, or maybe a fan fiction about hunting monsters. (mostly due to the fact I have been binge watching supernatural) But I wanted to make sure there weren't any other cool things to participate in.

I saw this was all like "Ooh something from Specter, He's a good writer I'm gonna check it out." I saw the Horror tag thing at the top and got suddenly interested. As I scrolled down I got more and more excited yet confused about the fact that an RP was made about the very idea I was thinking of making one about.

Now. I'm not sure if this is just some coincidence, or if you can read minds through the internet, but I'm going to think up a CC, and politely ask that you refrain from reading my mind any farther. Please and thank you. :)

Oh. Valin. I wia ds have that I could, but I'm afraid I don't read minds. But I will tell you one thing. This idea came from me watching Supernatural and Blue Excorsist on binge for 2 days. And I couldn't help myself.

Happy you got excited by the idea. I sure am, and I was afraid that nobody else was. :D

Yes, very excited indeed. Now I'm going to spend quite a while on this character because I've been itching to think up a character that's unrelated to the wolf pack, and have nothing else to do besides continue watching more supernatural. So if you have any preferences for things you want/don't want in the characters of this Rp, that would be very nice to know. :)

All I'd say is nothing super similar to My Preist or My Initiate. But, I'm sure you
    Will ace it regardless.

All praise Supernatural as it seems, oh and Blue exorcist.

You know whats strange... I was just thinking of a character plagued by a demon and basically questions all that he does (He's quite loony because of it). I'll post a CC laterish when I wake up as it's pretty late right now where I am.

So you know, Toxius, I love the idea of the character, but for this RP that one in particular will not work. However, if you plan on using another one go right ahead and apply.

He's for another Rp so don't worry, Also as they're an elite Vigilant group do they have a secret base of sorts?

Also nice Lonesome Road quote Valin, in your signature.

No they do not. They operate more like multiple groups of nomadic hunters. No more than 5 to 6 people in each group, but there travel patterns are random. They only communicate group to group via raven letters.

So they mainly camp or stay at inns.

I've been waiting the longest time to use the name Skov. Since January 1st to be exact. So I'm using it. Thank you Shayne Skov of Stanford. Not only do you look like a badass (I may use it as a reference photo), your name is just as great.

More important: Will the guide be an "expert" on all of Skyrim or just one portion of it? If so, which area? Character is going to be a younger male who is taking up the family business of being a guide to various visiting peoples.

Also, the image in your first post is not showing up for me.

The guide should be educated on all of Skyrim's Cities and Main roads. However, it would be nice if he had more knowledge on some of the smaller passages and shortcuts, as well as camping spots. Maybe he has this as well as a specialized Hold? I know we will be all over the province however.

And that image doesn't for me either. And the editor won't let me delete it. So I just gave up.

    PERSONALITY

» POSITIVE TRAITS Knowledgeable, fearless, helpful, brotherly

» NEGATIVE TRAITS Irrational, argumentative, clumsy

» LIKES Fighting, moving, women, cooked salmon

» DISLIKES Slow people, staying in one place for more than two days, anybody who questions his direction

» FEARS Bugs. Creepy crawlies of any sort.

» ASPIRATIONS To continue the family business by expanding

» STRENGTHS – Dual swordsmanship, his physical strength and endurance, an overwhelming knowledge about Skyrim - specifically The Pale

» WEAKNESSES – Reading, writing, math, his fear of bugs, not as quick mentally and physically as he average Joe

» PERSONALITY – Skov is quite friendly and charming, despite his intimidating demeanor. He is easy to talk to and forms brotherly bonds quite quickly. His intelligence is below average, but he is extremely knowledgeable about the geography and province of Skyrim as a whole. Due to his lower intelligence, he becomes quite offended if anybody questions his word - even if it is an innocent question. When offended, Skov is argumentative and lives up to his intimidating stature.

Nonetheless, Skov is a fearless warrior who will follow a friend blindly into combat - sometimes recklessly. His greatest fear is bugs, stemming from the time he was poisoned by a frostbite spider as a child. He loves to be constantly on the go, a trait reflected by his dislike for people who take their time... and therefore waste his.

    BATTLE

» WEAPONS – Two elven swords- which he dual wields, an orcish dagger, and his own fists

» ARMOR – Armor made out of leather and furs to keep himself both warm in the freezing north and cool in the warm south of Skyrim. He has a fur-lined cloak which he can bundle up in on cold nights. Skov also wears a steel helmet that once belonged to his father.

» FIGHTING STYLE – Close combat. Skov is a dual swordsman who relies on his brute strength and size over quickness and strategy. He's not quiet nor is he adept at hiding, so he goes for the direct approach of running right at his opponent.

    HISTORY

» SHORT BIO – When Skov's father had learned that he had fathered some woman in Dawnstar's newborn child, he went to Dawnstar and told the woman he would settle down with her to raise his son. By the third day he grew restless and made plans to leave. Like any good father, he took Skov with him - whether his mother wanted it or not.

He was a good man to his son, setting few boundaries and letting the little Imperial join him while he made money escorting various important characters throughout the province. Skov soaked in everything his father taught him, and although he was never a brilliant child, he had the same instincts and knack for getting around as his father did. Math, reading, and writing skills were all put on the back burner. Even as an adult, Skov struggled to read. Writing was even further beyond him. The most valuable assets Skov had were his ability to navigate and recite information about the area that his father had told him. He knew everything from the nearby caves to the flowers and insects found in the area.

As a 6 year old, Skov encountered his first real danger in life. The two were going through a shortcut through the mountains. They had been through dozens of dark caves before, but this one was different. A hoard of frostbite spiders had taken refuge inside of it, ambushing them in a narrow passage. Skov was bitten, his body quickly registering the effects of the poison since he was so young. His father managed to fight them off, but not before the young Imperial had his fear of bugs - big and small - ingrained into his mind.

The Imperial grew quickly, gaining muscle and weight endlessly throughout his teenage years. He was tall and intimidating in a crowd of people, but despite all of this, at 15 he had no idea how to wield a sword effectively. His father and he had picked up a new client - a master swordsman - in Solitude near his 16th birthday. He needed to get to Morrowind, which meant he was to be escorted completely across the continent. During the month and a half that Skov and his father traveled with their client, the teen was instructed daily in the art of fighting with dual blades. By the end of their job, he was comfortable enough to use the two elven swords his instructor had rewarded him with for fighting. He would hone his skills during the next 9 years, going from inexperienced to a confident man who used brute strength to win his battles.

When Skov turned 20, his father passed away. He had been sick for several weeks with both chills and a fever. When they reached a temple in order to find somebody to heal his father, it was much too late. Skov was upset, but the loss hadn't come as a surprise. He had been preparing for the worst for some time. Like his father before him, he wasn't able to stand still enough to stay at the temple. Skov left and continued the family business. It was what his father would have wanted. The next few years came and went quickly. While Skov never had any qualms about traveling with his father, he felt a sense of being grown up now that he was alone.

The Imperial was in high demand due to his intimidating looks. Most of the people who hired him were looking for a bodyguard rather than a guard. Skov didn't mind though. With a higher demand came more money, and with more money he could finally expand the business further. Maybe place some more guides under his service and eventually expand outside of Skyrim. That was a long ways off though. Skov had a lot of work to do.
