One thing is for certain; the future of Tamriel and the generations to come, lay within their hands.

    Recruiting is CLOSED

The main premise of this roleplay was to create an experience akin to George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels. Instead of individual characters, players create and control entire kingdoms through the viewpoint of a royal house or family. To join, post a detailed kingdom card here in the OOC thread. Kingdoms can be anywhere across Nirn, even Akavir if you wish. In your cards, try to include as much detail as possible, including a royal house, a description of where your kingdom is and how much land it spans, along with any other details you see fit. If you have any questions regarding the established lore of the RP, send me a message.

    Rules

    1. Refrain from making your kingdom excessively powerful, in other words, no overpowered kingdoms. Balance your gains and losses as a kingdom, and try not to start off with too much land and/or too strong a military force.

    2. The roleplay will have mature themes, expect suggestive and explicit material.

    3. Be nice to one another, this should go without saying.

    House Waymar, Kingdom of Valora
    rohan.gif
One of the oldest of Tamriel's kingdoms, Valora stands as a testament to the perseverance and endurance of the Nordic men of the North. From the moment it was formed in the early years of the New Era by the fabled Nord king Jorum Waymar, the kingdom has seemingly fought a constant struggle. Whether it be the cruel Northern winters, plague, famine or war, the Valoran people are no stranger to sacrifice and loss. Their suffering has forged them into a strong and hardy people, who pride themselves in their culture and history. Yet the men and women of Valora are true hearted and humble, and value honor and loyalty as virtues. They consist mostly of warriors, farmers and ranchers who are renowned for their mastery of horseback riding which has earned them the title the Horselords of the North. During the kingdom's finest years, few could stand against the might of a full on Valoran cavalry charge. Though the kingdom's finest years are far behind it. In recent years, conflict with the Witchmen of the Reach has rendered Valora a shadow of its former glory. Yet upon the golden plains, the flag bearing the white mare still stands.
Valora nests itself upon the golden plains and tundra of central Skyrim. Its capital is the ancient city of Whiterun, one of the few surviving cities from the old world; before the war which changed Tamriel. Upon the throne of Dragonsreach sits The Stallion, King Ronin Waymar. He is a tough and strong hearted king, and is the undisputed master of the realm. Yet he rules justly, never abusing the power bestowed upon him. Valora boasts few other settlements; namely, Shale and Waystead. Shale is a small farming community, governed by the King's brother, Dorian Waymar. Waystead is a town governed by the King's other brother, Saren Waymar. Aside from the trinity of settlements, farms and ranches dot the landscape. In recent years, attacks from Reachmen have forced many to settle closer to the walls of Whiterun.
    House Waymar
    • King Ronin Waymar, the Stallion, Lord of Valora, Lord of the Northern Realm
    • His Queen, Morgana Waymar, deceased
    • His eldest son and heir, Raiden Waymar, a young man of 24
    • His second son, Caiden Waymar, a young man of 21
    • His youngest and only daughter, Mora Waymar, a maiden of 17
    • His brother, Dorian Waymar, Jarl of Shale
    • His youngest brother, Saren Waymar, Jarl of Waystead
    • His brother and companion, Victus Waymar, King's Housecarl and General of Valora

A small Hold on the peninsula of Hnes Rax(Hew’s Bane) followed by a small village consisting of six barracks and twelve houses and two small huts. The barracks were designed to be long and have two stories with enough space to fit forty to sixty people but the Kingdom currently has only five full and the other way only containing twenty three people. The villager contains all sorts of people ranging from Farmers to miners but there is readily enough people to take part in the towns military needs. All the men and women of the village are trained in basic combat to better protect themselves and people surrounding them. There are fields of crops and a barn of animals to be used for trading and for their own needs. The keep was built on the southernmost cliff and overlooks the ocean allowing for sentry of any sea invasions. The village however is more inland allowing for easy access to all of the lands resources wither it be the rocky mountain caves that contain precious ore such as Iron, Gold and sometimes if they are lucky ebony. The nearby coast is surrounded with thick tall oak trees to supply them with all the wood they need. The Hold has opened a trade route with a nearby kingdom where the old town of Roseguard once was, this village took on the town's former legacy and some have said that the former knights of the Rose from the reach of Wayrest started this encampment and then forged an kingdom from their Iron grip. they have since adapted the part of the old name and have begun to call themselves the very knights that have once been and have already passed. The king named Rilath Matj’avin lives in the very keep that sits high on the small mountain that overlooks the southern Ocean, no expense was spared for the designing of this keep. Stone walls, lavish rooms filled with furniture, a huge war-room used as a strategic over view for future upcoming battles, a dining hall where all the nobles and their families eat and a dock to resupply with its sister colony.
The sister colony still young but well-built has just opened its doors for trading: Iron, steel, gold, food, sometimes ebony and many other things can be found at this small village. The village rather small is used for trading and has the means to defend its wall from raids with a well fitted barracks and enough guards to to fight a small battle. the main feature is its harbour which is used for the receiving and sending goods from Solvynstia and back. The small village which was given the name Shadow's Watch and is often still referred to by the other kingdoms as a Traders Den guarded by mercenaries. The colony lies due east of Solvynstia and North of the new Roseguard.
Solvynstia has taken pride in its military form training the new to be warriors day and night in the deadly mountain nearby fitted with dangerous courses that would test their very devotion to their Kingdom, They hope to one day return to Cryodiil to find out parts of their missing history and to one day rebuild the great nation that once ruled.

House Dakhlar, Sand Warriors of Azar Harif

    Tattoo_Scorpion_Design_by_Th3_j0keRc.jpg

A region shrouded in mystery, many believe the enigmatic kingdom of Azar Harif rose from the sands of Alik’r Desert itself. Its origins unknown to most, Azar Harif is one of the most ancient kingdoms of Tamriel – and also one of the most mysterious. Spanning from the ruins of the olden city of Sentinel and the lapping waters of the Illiac Bay to the sandy shores of the Southern Sea and the capital city of Sandstone, communities and holdfasts lie nestled amongst the shifting sea of sands, thriving, despite the harshness of the unforgiving Alik’r Desert.

The people of Azar Harif are as mysterious as the origins of their kingdom. The population consists mostly of warriors, ready to fight and die for their kingdom and the secrets the desert keeps, but the rest are mainly fishers and miners, as there is no land to farm in the unforgiving desert. Their warriors are known only for their skills as fierce warriors and their equivocal knowledge of the cryptic secrets of the desert. The dark-skinned dwellers of the Alik’r Desert and people of Azar Harif prefer war over peace, favoring their superior battle skills over diplomacy. This occasionally proves a disadvantage to the kingdom of Azar Harif; they often become embroiled in wars in conflicts, some of which could have been avoided. Not only do the dwellers of the inhospitable desert have legendary skills in the use of blades and spears, but many warriors have mastered the secrets and forbidden knowledge of the desert. Thus, these warriors earn the fitting name of “sand warriors”. Not much is known of the arcane secrets that the Alik’r Desert hides and the denizens of Azar Harif have uncovered and studied, but it gives the desert dwellers strange powers and expansive knowledge of the desert – a kind of unexplained magic. Perhaps this is how the people of Azar Harif survive the merciless desert… but no one knows.

House Dakhlar rules the kingdom of Azar Harif with an undisputed iron fist. The King of Azar Harif is King Andromolek Dakhlar, also known as “the Scorpion”. Andromolek is rather young for the king of a kingdom; he is a deft warrior, disliking politics and diplomacy, preferring leading the battle himself. Battle-hardened, he is merciless and cruel, but he shows care for his kingdom when care is due. Andromolek is an effective ruler, taking control of affairs with an iron fist when need be. He is very involved in the secret powers of the desert, and is the most powerful sand warrior of Azar Harif, knowing how to effectively harness the power and knowledge of the desert to its fullest extent. The seat of House Dakhlar and King Andromolek is Sandstone, a city-fortress erected from the ruins of Hegathe. Other notable settlements include Sentinel, an ancient city located on the northern shore of the Alik’r Desert, and Oasis, a walled settlement built around a mystical oasis in the Alik’r Desert. Aside from the larger settlements of Sandstone, Sentinel and Oasis, many other, small communities dot the landscape of the Alik’r Desert.

King Andromolek Dakhlar, the Scorpion, King of Azar Harif, General of Azar Harif, a man of 36
His Queen, Arri Dakhlar, a young woman of 31

His third and youngest daughter, Rayari Dakhlar, a maiden of 10

His twin brother, Verolek Dakhlar, military advisor for King Andromolek, a man of 36

    House Gaering, Kingdom of Daggerfall
    images
Daggerfall, as well as the rest of High Rock, had fallen into chaos after the End War. However, after many years, a system of order formed in the once great city of Daggerfall. The anarchy ended as rulers began their new ascension. Daggerfall would eventually become the seat of a great Kingdom, stretching from the city itself to the Wrothgarian mountains.

The Kingdom has now consolidated its power over many years, keeping its King as a descendant of the King beforehand. Each King is expected to have a multitude of children to keep the Royal line plentiful and all Noble children are married at the age of eighteen. The children have the right to choose who they will wed but if they can not choose a spouse one will be chosen for them, usually a high ranking military official.

The people of this Kingdom stay true to their ancestors and are naturally skilled in the art of Conjuration. Those who receive an education are taught the arts of simple Bound weaponry such as Bound Sword and Bound Bow. This is so that citizens can defend themselves, and can be drawn to the Army in times of war.

The Kingdom of Daggerfall is a largely self-reliant nation, producing crops and fishing to provide food. Citizens produce much of all that is needed and it is punishable by law if they sell items deemed necessary for life at absurd prices. Royalty and Nobility have paid laborers who perform all their shopping, and they pay the normal prices. As such, many merchants and common citizenry support the Ruling family. Merchants do have to trade for many goods to support any luxury with other peoples as Daggerfall can only manage to produce what is needed.

The Army of the Kingdom is small but well organized and well trained. Such is the way it has been since the Kingdom was only the small city-state of Daggerfall. After much unopposed expansion and many wars against bandits and tribal people, the Kingdom was at its modern-day borders. The Mountains were a good barrier so it was stopped there.

The main weakness of the Kingdom would undoubtedly be the many small tribes, bandits, and small Kingdoms who are hostile. If those peoples were to unite together against Daggerfall, the Kingdom would be in danger.

The Kingdom is currently ruled over by King Dunane Gaering, a wise King at the age of 58. While unable to fight, the King has the support of his people. He stands 6'3 and is 230 pounds, with short black hair and a long scar above his right eye. He has taken steps to peacefully integrate many of the people inside Kingdom borders who remained tribal into the culture established by first High Rock and now the Kingdom of Daggerfall. The King is highly isolationist but supports trade with neighbors.

King Dunane married the love of his life Elanna during the marriage ceremony he had at 18, as per tradition. They have remained together and Elanna has some influence on him.

    House Gaering
King Dunane Gaering - King of Daggerfall. Age 58
Queen Elanna Gaering - Queen of Daggerfall. Age 56.
    • Corrick Gaering - Eldest Son of the King & Queen. Age 29. Heir to the throne, he does not fight in the army. He is pampered in the castle and many think he is spoiled.
    • Alain Gaering - Second son of the King & Queen. Age 25. Soldier in the army, well trained in Conjuration. Known for his bravery. Many want him as heir to the throne, but he does not deny Corrick's position as heir.
    • Ruran Gaering - Youngest son. Age 15. Trained by Alain in Conjuration and training to be in the Army. Still lives in the castle but insists on no servants. Dislikes Corrick.
    • Adrienne Gaering - Eldest Daughter. Age 22. Is pampered and is a good friend of Corrick. Spends nearly all time in the Castle, having servants do her bidding.
    • Arielle Gaering - Youngest Daughter and youngest child. Age 10. Secludes herself from all family except for the Queen. Rumors spread she has bad health throughout the Kingdom.
General Dalan Gaering - the Brother of the King. Age 52. In control of everything involving the army of Daggerfall unless the King himself directly intervenes. Gives Alain a hard time and prevents him from advancing in the army.

Roland Gaering - Youngest living Brother of the King. Age 36. Emotionally unstable after being involved in a battle against a hostile tribe nearly nineteen years ago in which two of his older brothers were killed. He has yet to get over their deaths.

Cienne Gaering - Only sister of the King. Age 47. Supports King Dunane Gaering in all ways possible and a great friend of Queen Elanna. Has enough influence on the King to get him to believe his decision was correct, but not enough to change his judgment very much.

House Chaer of the Summerset Isles
    nbz.png
House Chaer is rulers over one of the youngest kingdoms in Tamriel, only 100 years old. When the first Nords set foot on the isles after the End War, Rumber Chaer, who was the captain of the ship, claimed all the islands as his own, and the tribes who lived there eigther bowed down for him, or got brutaly slain. It didn't take long until more Nords arrived at the isles, and cities and castles rose from the grounds. The Chears took over Alinor for themselves, rebuilded it even bigger and rules from there.
The Chaers has grown to one of the richest house in Tamriel. They gained their wealth from selling of spices to the mainland. There is also a great source of fish around the isles, that they use to provide themselves with food. The Summerset Isles has turned into one of the biggest trading empire, and many of the merchandises goes through their trading city, New Skywatch, before they are re-sold out to the rest of Tamriel.
The islanders have lost faith in the gods they used to worship before, claiming that if they had existed the End War wouldn't happen. They now stay loyal to a new god, called the Stallion of the Seas.
Summersets military is small. Their army consists of only 800men, but what they lack in footsoldiers, they regain in their fleet, and defensive walls. The men in the army is mostly spearmen. There is small watchtowers all around the isles, to scout for enemy ships, so that they can get time to set up their defence in time. The Summerset army is known as The Horses of the Sea to other kingdoms.
    House Chaer
They are known for their long silverblond hair, and tan skin.
King Richard Chaer - Ruler of the Sumerset Isles. Age 45. Richard is a skilled captain, like his father, and his father before him.
Queen Ashlyn Chaer - Age 40. Were promised to Richard when they were young.
Prince Rayne Chaer - Age 20. Heir to the Summerset Isles. First born son of the King, and admiral of the fleet.
Alx Chaer - First born of the twins. Age 18. Leading the footsoldiers with his twin brother. Skilled spearsman and at military tactics.
Theo Chaer - Second of the twins. Age 18. Leading the footsoldiers with his twin brother. Skilled spearsman and at military tactics.
Sarryn Chaer - The kings oldest brother. Age 42. Serves as lord of New Skywatch, and protector of Auridon, the second largest isle.
Tholden Chaer - The kings youngest brother. Age 38. Lord of Cloudrest.
Sharo - Champion of Summerset. Bastard son of Sarryn. Half redguard. A large man standing 7feet tall, and the most loyal bodyguard of his father. 22 years old.

It would be amazing if someone could add up a map showing the locations of each kingdom. We don't need to, but would be cool :)

I can try. It will not be very pretty (at all) but I can make a map with crude outlines of each kingdom. I will wait a little bit though, in case we get another kingdom or two.

    Kingdom of Murkwood, House Kazaar
    chinese_black_dragon-wallpaper-1920x1080.jpg

In the aftermath of the climatic End War, the Empire was destroyed, leaving no one to enforce the ban on slavery. As history repeats itself, the humans and elves began to enslave the beast races, and for nearly 600 years the Orcs, Khajiit, and Argonians all toiled under an unforgiving sun, under cruel masters that cared little for their slave's lives. Tired of this constant hell, an ambitious and courageous Orc named Kazaar gro-Kush, a slave from birth, gathered his fellow slaves and led a mass revolt against their human and elven masters. After years of chaotic guerilla warfare, the slaves won their freedom, and began a mass exodus to the abandoned lands of Black Marsh. The land was tough, but years of hard work and bending the land to their will paid off when the Kingdom of Murkwood was founded deep in the impenetrable swamps. Murkwood prefers to keep to itself, with very little interaction with the other kingdoms. Unlike most castles, which are built of stone, the beastfolk of Murkwood live in huts and teepees made of bamboo, rock, mud, and whatever else is native to the land. Murkwood's trade resources are rice, ores, fishing, and smithing, and because of there being virtually no usable roads in the swamps, transportation is done largely by boat and tree bridges. Murkwood is united as a whole, but is somewhat divided in terms of religion, as the 3 civilized races of the kingdom worship various daedra like Malacath, the Mane, or the Hist. The main defense of the Kingdom is a tall wall surrounding the capital city, New Orsinium. Other major cities include Skoomosh, Blackrose, and Adar Matal.

House Kazaar consists of King Kazaar gro-kush, his wife, 3 children, and their Argonian servant and family friend. Like traditional Orc strongholds, Kazaar believes that when he grows old, one of his sons will have to defeat him to become the next King.

Kazaar gro-Kush: The brave and ambitious leader of Murkwood, Kazaar is an Orc in his early 40's, known for his serious nature. He only wants the best for his people, and will eagerly lead his army into battle if need be. He is of average build for an Orc, with deep green skin and piercing yellow eyes. Kazaar also has horns protruding from his eyebrows, long tusks, and is blind in one eye due to a war injury. Kazaar is stubborn, and mostly deals with political matters himself. When he isn't dabbling in political affairs, Kazaar enjoys smoking his pipe, training in the armory, crafting armor and weapons, and reading any books he can find(Many books and records were lost or destroyed in the end war).

Queen Ghorza gra-Sharn: The strong willed wife of Kazaar, Ghorza is a greyish, young looking Orc woman in her late 30's. She rarely gets involved in political affairs, and her determination is admired by many of the beast woman in Murkwood.

Azog gro-Kazaar: The eldest son of Kazaar, Azog is 21, and is considered to be overly cocky, obnoxious, and mean spirited. Azog is confident he will be able to defeat his father in combat when the time comes, despite never seeing battle in his life.

Matalya gra-Ghorza: The second child of Kazaar, Matalya is a sweet and kind young Orc woman at the age of 17, which is an adult in Orcish culture. Matalya is considered to be beautiful even in human standards, with smooth green skin, deep orange eyes, ample curves that compliment her figure amazingly. Even though Matalya is a sweet girl, she is no saint, and is rather promiscuous, being with many Orcs, Khajiit, and Argonian men(and women). Matalya has a bit of a pain fetish, and wishes to become a shaman when she is older, already being proficient in magic.

Yambagorn gro-Kazaar: The youngest son, Yambagorn is a happy go lucky orc at the young age of 14. He is big and muscular for his age, but has yet to mentally grow into his body. Yambagorn shares a close relationship with Goji-Ra, and spends much of his idle time talking with the Argonian about his thoughts and feelings, something his tough father wouldn't understand. Yambagorn is still a kid at heart, and likes to have fun just like a child, much to the confusion of Kazaar, who never had a childhood due to being born into slavery. Yambagorn's desire is to become a strong leader like his father, and even Kazaar believes him to be a better choice for heir of Murkwood.

Goji-Ra: The Argonian servant, political advisor, and family friend of House Kazaar, Goji-Ra is a middle aged argonian who served alongside Kazaar in the Great Slave Rebellion as his battle brother, and has earned his place among the family. He is intelligent and usually the voice of reason in the family, but only speaks when spoken to. He is tall and slender, with white slit pupiled eyes and deep brown skin.

    Nice idea, Osiris! :D

But just a question, where were Kazaar and the original slaves from? Before they made the exodus?

I'll probably set up the rp tonight, btw.

Thanks! I would have posted earlier but the internet has been down for a couple days :/

Anyway, Kazaar and the other slaves were based in southern Morrowind, and Northeast Skyrim(Winterhold and Windhelm areas) by organized tribes and surviving Great houses in Morrowind(Namely House Dres).

That would be awesome :D, Murkwood doesn't have massive ships, but has trading ports scattered along the eastern coast of Black Marsh, we mostly use small rowboats like in Vietnam to get around lol. Quick question, is your Kingdom ruled by Humans or Elves?

Oh and if I forgot to mention, our kingdom isn't all of black marsh, just a fair amount of the center of the province
