I'm new to this RPing forum, although I have RPed in other forums, so I do know what I'm doing, but I'm just a little confused on how to join these RP's and what not. Please let me know if I did anything wrong so I can fix it :)

    Character name: Oddi Kol
    Race: Nord
Class: Warrior, Specialist in slaying dragons
    Gender: Male
Looks: Blonde hair that he tucks back in his helmet, so whenever he takes it off it appears to be slicked back with a few strands hanging down in the front. Chiseled features, basically your standard Nord. 6' 1" with a five o clock shadow.
Personality: Rather cocky, he is able to find humor in situations where most would only see despair.
Combat Prefs: He has no preferences. He isn't very skilled in the arcane arts, although he shines in melee combat. He keeps a massive claymore on his back made of the bones of slain dragons. Also on his back (Kind of covering the sword) is a Large round shield (Think Shield of Ysgramor) for when he uses his one-handed weapons, which he keeps on his side (A powerfully enchanted katana with lightning enchantments that he crafted for slaying dragons, and a dragonbone long sword, both on his right hip.) He wears full light armor which he made from the scales of deceased dragons.
Misc: Now with this many weapons, most would be weighted down. However, he is extremely strong and he wears light armor to compensate for the weight of said weapons.
I'll post my other characters tomorrow, let me know if I did something wrong please! ):

    VKitKat

Most Commonly known as The Dragonborn
    Name: Kat
    Race: Nord
    Class: Theif
    Gender: Female
Looks: wavy brown hair put out to one side, light blue eyes, Tan skin, cat-scratch of 3 claws scar below right eye
Likes: Scaring lone farmers on the field at night, framing others for her crimes
Dislikes: Thalmor, all kinds of elves, Stormcloaks
Personality: Sticks to the shadows, best left alone, mostly blames people she wants revenge or hates of her crimes to get them in jail. Very sneaky, agile, and smart. Loves to drink and gamble, guards see her as an innocent girl, only because she lies her way out of crimes and such. But the people of Skyrim know who she truly is.
Bio: Kat grew up in the thieves’ guild, not knowing how she arrived there in a small basket as a baby. She knew nothing of her parents, or family, only that they left her with these thieves, who taught her the skills she knows now. They taught her to be the perfect thief, and everyone acted as moms’ and dads’ to her. Then one day, she was on a job, when… well, something happened, they say. Nobody knows what, but it caused her to kill the victim she was robbing. The thieves’ guild disclaimed her for that, as for killing the victim is bad for business. She left, and has yet to get revenge on them.

    VKitKat

Most Commonly known as The Dragonborn
    Name: Ra'jhera

    Race: Khajit

    Age: 31

    Gender: Female

    Class: Weapons master

Looks: Ra'jhera looks much like this.

    3131906-1325561975.jpg

Personality: Due to past trauma, Ra'jhera is attached to any friends she makes, especially where the bond turns into one like family. Any harmful actions against friends will result in Ra'jhera reacting in a very "mother bear"-like way. Though she is a thief and adventurer, she tries to kill only when necessary. Usually, though, she is very calm and polite, if somewhat quiet. Ra'jhera will lend a helping hand wherever she can.

Gear: Ra'jhera challenges herself as a thief. When on a mission that requires sneaking, she will deliberately wear heavy armor to make the task harder. On a mission where intense combat is to be expected, Ra'jhera will wear light armor to improve her agility and to remind herself to not get hit.

Combat Prefs.: As a weapons master, Ra'jhera changes her weapons and approach based on the situation. If a large battle is to be had, Ra'jhera will come out swinging with a two-handed sword or a sword and shield. If subtler solution is needed or there is less danger involved, Ra'jhera will use her daggers and bow to get a job done. Also, growing up in Elsweyr, Ra'jhera sometimes decides not to bother with weapons and demonstrates her martial arts skills to anyone or anything unlucky enough to be her target. Ra'jhera tries to end as few lives as she can, but is not afraid to end several if need be. The lives she does end, however, she ends humanely and quickly.

Simply love this toon! I used to hate khajit, but this charater was the purr-fect example for me to be motivated to make one. Awesome build, Sky!

    Mr.Self Destruct

    Chosen Undead
Just updating my primary character's card.

    Name: Alistar
    Race: Nord
    Gender: Male
    Age: Early 30's
    Class: Ranger
    Looks:
    ranger.jpg

Alistar is both tall and physically well built, his lean muscle mass coming from years of constant training and experience as a ranger. Decades of exploring and adventuring show on him in the form of many scars, mostly along his torso and arms. His face is well sculpted, with a strong chin and jawline covered in rough stubble, and pronounced cheekbones set beneath his pair of strong, pale blue eyes. Framing his face is shoulder length brown hair, worn long as most Nords do.

Alistar wears exclusively lightweight armor, always wanting to stay light on his feet and much preferring to dodge blows in contrast to absorbing them through heavy armor. He wears a leather cuirass, with matching boots and gauntlets to complement. Over this, he wears a dark green/grey cloak with the hood normally pulled over his head.

When push comes to shove, Alistar comes equipped with a steel sword which has served him well throughout the years. In case he's disarmed or needs to quickly eliminate his target with low-profile methods, he's also packing an Elven dagger that was forged in Valenwood. However, Alistar much prefers to take out targets with his wooden recurve bow, having made it himself years ago, it holds much sentimental value to him.

Personality: Alistar tends to be soft spoken when dealing with strangers, however, he always speaks with clear direction and doesn't shy away from speaking his mind. He holds no prejudice toward the other races of Nirn, normally trying to keep an open mind on things, he's a very intelligent and experienced man who's most at home outdoors, and is a very capable hunter and forager. Around friends and companions, he can be quite open about things and enjoys the company of those who have earned his trust. However, he fiercely guards one secret which he always keeps to himself, a dark and sinister secret.
Story: Alistar was born into a happy and humble life in a log cabin situated just north along the Cyrodillic/Skyrim border. His father was a hunter who provided for his family, despite the poor financial situation and his mother was an alchemist who commonly told the young boy stories. Stories of witches and ghosts, of knights and goblins and of vampires and werewolves. One foggy night, under the light of a full moon, a rogue werewolf found Alistar's home and slaughtered his parents, nearly killing the boy as well had he not plunged the broken silver pommel of his father's sword into the beast's eye. Although the werewolf retreated in pain, Alistar had lost his parents, and he had been bitten by the beast, he didn't know at the time but he now bore the curse.
Not long after, a band of cloaked archers found the home, and the horrific scene inside. They took the unconscious boy with them as they headed back to their compound. When Alistar awoke, he found himself under the care of a network of Rangers operating all along Tamriel. These Rangers were known as the Striders, a guild which sought to protect Tamriel's wilds and defend the Empire. Alistar was placed under the care of a man named Erador, a wise old man who protected the boy and brought him up. He also taught Alistar how to suppress the beast within him, with lycanthropy, the urge to let free the beast within is always there, the monster always struggling to get free. Under the full moon, the lust for flesh is at it's strongest, and this is when most succumb to the desire. But through meditation, a clear mind and willpower Alistar was able to go many years without transforming.
From the beginning, times were tough for the Striders. They were losing men day after day assisting the Empire against the Thalmor invasion, all Alistar wanted to do was finally make a difference. He underwent training to become a Strider, but by the time he was ready for action it was nearly too late. The Striders had been pushed out of Cyrodiil and Valenwood, and the Skyrim chapter was being crushed. Justicars were wiping out compound after compound, the first time Alistar saw action was when he was desperately trying to defend his home. Erador, the man he considered a father, was dead, everybody had perished. He fled into the night, his heart heavy with guilt as he barely escaped.
From then on, Alistar has been seeking for any trace of surviving Striders, years after years of scouring the land have come up with nothing. At times he's convinced he's the last of his kind, but nonetheless, he will continue searching, the strength of the Striders carry him on everyday. He's lived his life as one, and he will die as one.

    Dinkleberg

I don't take myself seriously half the time ^_~
*Just making sure I have his card on this thread*

    Name: Zephyr Hawkhart
    Race: Redgauard/Snow Elf
    Class: "Keenai" Tribe Leader/Adventurer
    Gender: Male
Looks: 5'11''; Chiseled face; tan-skinned, darker than most elves; White, spiky hair; Average point-tipped elven ears; White patches around his gray eyes representing the blindness he didn't suffer, which most falmer had.

    zephyr-jpg.1682

Personality: Cool and collected, Zeph is down-to-earth in regular conversation. In combat, what he holds closest to him is his pride and confidence. He sticks to a strict policy of equality (he believes even the lowliest peasant has just as much a right to be happy as a Jarl, or even a High King/Queen). Sort of the teddy bear type, he's mellow but will put up quite the fight if provoked.

Bio: He was born in Hammerfell, to one of few Snow Elves not affected by the blindness brought on by Dwarven oppression and a Redguard blacksmith. As a child, his mother would teach him to forge armor and defend himself. His father helped him practice arcane arts and tell him ancient falmer tales, before the race was enslaved. His family eventually traveled east, all the way to Skyrim and settling in Markarth. Years later, his parents moved back to Hammerfell while Zephyr chose to stay in Markarth, now in his early 20s and old enough to inherit the house from them. Days after they left, the Cidhna Mine Breakout took place. As the Forsworn stormed through the city, they broke into Zephyr's home, robbed him of his valuables, tore apart the house, and kidnapped him. From there, Zephyr and a few other captives were being shipped to a Forsworn camp to work as laborers. The small group of captives managed to rebel against their captors along the path and escaped. With nowhere to return to since their home had been overrun by the Forsworn, they could not return to Markarth, and ventured out into the wilderness together. After years of hunting and surviving, their numbers grew, and Zephyr kept the group together in times of conflict, eventually becoming the "Chief" of the faction. Under Zephyr Hawkhart's leadership, they began to call themselves the "Keenai" (Keenai = Keen Eye = Hawk). They became an anarchy group devoted eliminating the Forsworn and eventually any form of authority that controlled people's lives. As a tribute to the fallen citizens of Markarth during the outbreak, he ventures out on his own to pay his respects and take some time for himself on that month every year. Once again, like every year, he sets out on his own once more...

I'll post my other characters tomorrow, let me know if I did something wrong please! ):

The only thing wrong (i mean, what I can notice with what I actually know) is your name. Vincent Daron isn't particularly Nordic (nordish? i don't know how far similarities stretch, but you know what I mean) so I'd try and find something more so.
Here's what I've done when thinking up Nordic sounding names:
    • Wikipedia and Google are your greatest resources. I always used these at first, to give me a good idea of words I can combine, endings, or patterns in words. The meaning isn't particularly relevant. I've included some basics for you to look through just now. I would recommend looking up Valkyrie names in Google and then going to the Wikipedia page on them. This is the most important tip because it will likely give a much better impression of what you need to do than the following points.
    • Double letters such as "nn" or "rr" help to add to the Nordic feel of the name.
    • "Consonant - j - o or a" i.e Njo-, Nja-, Vjo-, seems to be a typically Nordic way to start your names. It's not needed, though, you could use more Germanic sounding words (Morihaus is a Nordic/Nordish hero featured in Skyrim, and his name sounds quite Germanic) and there are plenty of names that don't go to this rule and still sound Norse.
    • Putting the letter "y" in place of an "i" - where appropriate- can look quite Nordic/Nordish. Again, not necessarily needed.
    • Also putting in those Scandinavian umlaut marks, i.e the cross over the o, or double dots over certain letters, even though I've NO idea what they do, looks pretty nice.
Using just one of these tips will probably give you enough of a good Nord name.
My favourite I've thought up this way has been Njolkyrrn (or Njolkyrn, or Njolkyrnn, I don't know how to get special letters on this).

You should not give up on this one... I never stay with my charater... everytime I take the time to build one, I delete it once it hits just about level 30 and then come to regret deleting it... so please take my advice and DO NOT delete this one. And also, how do you get Aela's armor? It looks pretty good on Khajiit

    Thanks a bunch :)

    Character name: S'darkiir
    Race: Khajiit/Volkihar Vampire Lord
    Class: Sneak-Thief/Assassin
    Gender: Male
Looks: Around 5'8" tall, about 160 pounds, he is very wiry. He used to be jet black with white and gray stripes and long black hair, but his advanced vampirism has faded his coat and paled his fur, giving him a grey muzzle, which poorly hides the red stains around his mouth and long wicked canines....His fur is still very dark but is no longer jet black, it is more of a dark grey that fades to more of a silver around his face, chest, and neck. He has a claw scratch in between his eyes on the bridge of his nose. His fierce eyes are yellow with red flecks around his slit pupils. He is missing the corner of his left ear.
Personality: Cruel, wicked, and manipulative, S'darkiir by no stretch of the imagination a kind and compassionate soul. He will help others only if he sees an opportunity to further his own goals, which are power, plunder, and glory. He can be brooding, silent, and decisive, while other times his wit is as sharp as his blades. Most of the time he is sly and sardonic only concerned with making as much money as possible. He a habitual thief, and has quite the silver tongue, able to get the most gold for his hard earned wares.
Combat Prefs: Dual Dragonbone daggers or hos crossbow, but he prefers using his claws or just one dagger in his left hand. If detected, he is almost always sneaking about, he will either engage them with his claws, using an ancient unarmed Akiviri fighting style to disarm a foe then use devastating strikes to paralyze muscles and break bone. Usually he would rob a person blind leaving them in their undergarments, making for an easy kill, but if this is not possible a ranged sneak attack from his crossbow will put down most bandits. If overwhelmed or in an impossible combat situation he will call upon his vampiric power and change into his vampire Lord form.Misc: Watch your long taffy treats and boiled creme treats while he is near.....they may end up missing.....

    Character Name: Hodlin Iron-Strong

    Race: Nord

    Class: Warrior

    Gender: Male

Appearance: 6' 8'' tall, very muscular, is bald on the top of his head. Has a black beard, nothing fancy though, just your typical beard. Has a scar on the left cheek and his right leg, the scar is from a bear attack that Hodlin was lucky to survive when he was a boy.

Hodlin wears Steel Plate Armor, but not the helmet.

Personality: Hodlin has had a rough past, but he does not let that past affect others. He does not like letting people down and will fight for an innocent persons life. Even if he does not know the person. Hodlin is the example of what all Nords should be. Strong and good with a blade, but kind-spirited as well.

Combat Pref: With his huge muscles Hodlin has no problem swinging a two-handed weapon, and prefers to as well. Hodlin is a tank in the battlefield and small enemies are no match for them if they take him head-on. However though Hodlin doesn't mind using an one-handed weapon. When using an one-handed weapon, Hodlin prefers that he has a shield with him also. Unlike most people, Hodlin likes to use his shield for offensive and not defensive reasons, like knocking out his opponents with his shield.

Hodlin has barely any knowledge of magic, like most Nords, and relies on potions found and bought from stores to heal him on his adventures. And while Hodlin can use a bow if he has to, he prefers that will not happen.

Biography: Hodlin was born in a cabin in the wilderness outside the city of Riften. An only child, Hodlin had a special connection with his father. By the time he was eight they would go out hunting together. Hodlin's father was a master at archery, and the wilderness so he taught Hodlin everything he knew about it. Things turned rotten though when one day Hodlin and his father were ambushed by a cave bear. With his claws, the bear tore apart his father while Hodlin watched on the ground unable to save his father. The bear had hit him in the leg, breaking it and preventing him from moving. Hodlin was left to die in the wilderness.

Hodlin was lucky though, a younger girl was near the scene picking flowers with her father, who was an alchemist. Noticing that Hodlin was still alive, the girl's father brought him to his cabin and gave treatment to Hodlin with potions that he had made previously. Hodlin soon would stop using the bow, as it constantly reminded him of his father and his passion to hunt just like his father also grew away from him.

With his father dead, Hodlin's mother became extremely depressed. One night before going to bed, Hodlin found his mother slouched dead, lying next to her bed. A dagger pierced into her heart. Hodlin would run away from home and go back to the alchemist that had healed him. It had been two years since he talked to the alchemist, but he took Hodlin in anyway.

During his stay with the alchemist he fell in love with his daughter, Barri. The same girl that was with him when they found him dying in the wilderness. Once they came of legal age him and Barri married. After staying with Barri's daughter for the first year or so Barri become pregnant and they decided to move to Riften. While riding on a carriage to Riften it was attacked by bandits. Hodlin did his best to defend the driver, Barri, and the other people on the carriage but was overwhelmed in the end. All the people on the carriage, save for Hodlin were killed, even Barri, who was brutally raped by the Bandit Chief and then decapitated by him. A sword had pierced through Hodlin's stomach and was slowly dying.

Hodlin was saved once more. This time be a wandering mercenary, who brought Hodlin to Riften and he was healed. With his father, mother, and wife gone, Hodlin has decided to adventure. And maybe some day kill the bandits who killed Barri. However though, Hodlin has vowed not to do anything evil, and to promote goodness in other peoples life.

    Mini Mongo

    Drog Do Faal Mongonite Lahvu
Name: Sipro Firecairn otherwise known as Shouts-at-Dragons
    Race: Argonian
    Class: Archer
    Gender: Male
    Age: 29
Personality: Very chatty but knows when it's best to shut up. Likes to write in his journal about his adventure's. Eager to explore Tamriel. Generally gets annoyed when interrupted during making his potions. Loves to hunt.
Apperance: Two horns and small scales in the middle of horns, dark skin, yellow eyes, medium build and sharp claws.
Clothing & Weaponary: Copied Nightingale armor with cape covering right arm. Evlen bow and two evlen daggers. Hides on armor.
Bio: Born in Black marsh in a small village, Shouts-at-Dragons gained his name when he was 13, originally he was named Sipro but then the small argonian village was attacked by a dragon killing many innocent lives and burning houses.
Sipro ran with his mother and father trying to escape from the city, then suddenly Sipro shouted at the dragon with a thu'um. Though weak compared to full power it was amazing that at a young age he could even try.

He then left to Skyrim, leaving his mother and father and went to live in Riften.
During a young age he joined the thieves guild, just a average thief but he was inspired after he finally met a Nightingale.
After that he asked a good friend of his in Riften to actually copy the Nightingale armor into a customized fit for Sipro, althought just leather it looks just as good as Nightingale armor and works well for hiding.
He tends to be a highwayman waiting for people to come past, he then threatens them with his dagger and takes the money, if they refuse he will knock them out and carry them back to the stables just in-front of Riften.
Sipro tends to think killing is pointless, but sometimes it must be done for the greater good.
Sipro tends to go on adventures during his spare time out of Riften, searching for gold and treasures sometimes keeping them, sometimes selling them.
He is also a alchemist, he uses poisons on his bow for slaying monsters such as trolls.
He tends to hunt for deer and even wolf selling their hides for much cash and for food.
Weaknesses: Utterly scared of Dragons, can lash out if people take the micky out of his nickname. Low on cash and can have visions of his childhood.
Strengths: Great sight and hearing. Good hunter and skilled with his bow. Master alchemist and expert troll killer. Hates Skooma and moon-sugar lovers. Has some knowledge of restoration magic. Is very interested in the arcane arts of magicka.

Why delete them? If anything just force save to keep your characters, I have about 3 myself at le moment
With me, I just will see a tiny thing wrong with my character and call it a "bad character" lol... I'm picky with my characters, I suppose

Isn't it just ancient nord armor or something?
No... it's Aela's armor. When I first started playing Skyrim, Aela was my role model, so I'd know her anywhere

I play World of Warcraft, too, and I'm the same way on there aswell. I think almost everything where you make your own character of some sort I get rid of them when there already so progressed... Well so far my newly-made Khajiit is about level 20 now (I love Skyrim, so don't ask how she's that level so quickly lol) and I still haven't found one thing I don't like about her... I gave her my favorite perks, Alchemy, blacksmithing, encahnting, One-handed, heavy armor, light armor, archery, and all the thief skills... and she's pretty, too, armor-wise and look-wise lol
