Cannot talk to or harm Ancano in College of Winterhold quest

I was about to complete the College of Winterhold Quest, but, this bug prevents me from killing Ancano.

I entered the hall of elements, the dialogue between Ancano and Tolfdir will not start. Tolfdir says to me "hurry, we must defeat Ancano" if I talk to him. If I talk to Ancano, he will stop electrocuting the Eye of Magnus for a moment and I can only ask him the same questions that were there as always, and there is a "dot dot dot" question, to which he only says "you cannot hope to defeat me". Then he goes back to electrocuting the eye.

How can I get Tolfdir to talk to him?

Also, I have run around and completed many quests while I wait for this one to iron out, but no use so far. Tolfdir will sometimes show up with flames ready, and say we must hurry, but then go away.

Also, the College of Winterhold Icon is no longer on the map for fast travel, it is simply dissapeared, but the marker for the quest is still there.

The only thing I can think of is that in the questline before this, I killed the mage dude Paratus that I met when I focused the Oculory, but the quest shows complete.... he was blabbing about reporting me and being an ass, and was walking off, so I killed him.

 

So I somehow skipped talking to someone, I will go back and find all of them and see what I missed.

I have used the staff on both Ancano and the Eye, the eye though, is closed and stays that way. I wonder if there is something about the body of Savos Aren, I actually never did try to find it....

Or is there something in Winterhold I need to do? I defeated the white creatures that attacked the town, but actually some of them came back later and attacked the college, just two or three. All the questlines show complete though.....
