With regards to smithing I include it with the personality of the character i play, for example i play a khajiit whom is wanting revenge against Ulfic Stormcloak (He would of been off and away with a small fortune if it wasn't for his men.) To do that first he needs to make money and has decided...
Five in the following holds
Whiterun
Windhelm
Marketh
Solitude
After completing five in any of the above you will get a special hold mission, once these are done it will add 1000 gold to each fence ... Do all four and you will get the invitation to become Guild Master.
The Ebony blade may be good for your character as like you said he gets progressively evil. The abilities it has already will fit perfectly into his gradual descent.
I think the Ebony blade requires you to kill two that trust you to unlock it's potential, in a sense corrupting your character...

Chapter 1 - A forced decision.
As always in this part of Tamriel the weather stifling, the scorching temperatures combined with the humid air, a common attribute from being so close to the Topel sea. A sigh escaped his lips, stepping through the door from outside, greeted by the faces of his...
(All events contained within this story are after the tale of the dovahkiin, a world that their choices have now defined, left behind. The Dovahkiin in this tale had done what most thought impossible, managing to bring the Thieves Guild of Skyrim back to it's former glory, the Dark Brotherhood...

The journey had been long from the province of Cyrodil, though eventful to say the very least. Having travelled from the Imperial City in the heart of of the province...
I was always under the impression (through chat client based role playing) that characters can and will die, just like in any other world (including Nirn.)
That aside, there are a few differences between chat client based role playing and forum based role playing which i would like to have a...
