    I use it enough to care, and sometimes when I see things "heat up", it usually drives me off. I'm sorry if you feel that I've somehow "overstepped my bounds" by posting here.

    Which is probably a good idea to abort the idea, based on the fact that it very well could create "cliques". Good point. Perhaps only light and flexible "Be nice to your neighbor" guidelines would simply suffice.

    Ehhh, the speech doesn't bother me. More or less, I would be concerned with overall flow and bickering that could "get ugly". And as far as the prospect of a moderator, I couldn't (and refuse to) do it at all. I don't have the time or the patience and I have too many other things to do.

    Agree, but I would think there would need to be more than one for it to be effective. Andante would make an excellent moderator. Still, there would need to be more. Also whatever said "moderator" would need to set aside any personal idiosyncrasies or bias and would need to be moderated as well...

    Yeah, a shoutbox moderator. Although it would probably need to be more than one because it's 24/7. It would be tough, but maybe with enough people, it could be done.

    Maybe come up with a criteria for etiquette and have some members moderate lightly. Step in when things seem to be getting a bit combative and such. I usually watch and glance now and then, but for the most part, I've kind of ducked out of it for several reasons.

    Too much to lose by pirating. I have a few friends who work for software companies here and abroad. To me, pirating would riddle me with guilt as though I were stealing from them.
