I'm poor and I need a place to crash!

    Dragonbone Weapon Smithing

I've heard it through the grapevine that their will be new content geared towards high level players. Whether that just means better stats for monsters, or something more, I've no idea. Either way this DLC is going to require me to make a new character for turning into a vampire lord.

I'm poor and I need a place to crash!

Just a head's up, at some point the game won't retain your loot in barrels or other containers. I don't remember the cut-off time, but their was a thread on the site about how long equipment would stay in containers.

    Race Selection

My current character is a very successful Breton battlemage. I use Mage armor in conjunction with two handed fighting, I've been amazed at how elegant this method is. Very simple build, very simple tactics, extremely effective results. In retrospect other races might have been better suited for...

I'm poor and I need a place to crash!

If you travel to Markarth and start the Molag Bal quest you can crash at the "Abandoned House". It's not a great house, but if I remember correctly their is some storage space. Also noone is likely to break in, after all daedric forces are at work and that tends to scare people off.

    Dragonbone Weapon Smithing

Since all other forms of smithing with Dragonbone require the dragon smithing perk I had just assumed that the new weapons would require that perk as well. That being said it does suck for your level 81 character not being able to craft the new weapons. I guess you'll have to build a new...

Quest The Dwemer quest supposedly hidden.

Maybe you should try casting spells near them. If you can hear mages chanting spells, they might be able to hear you casting spells. I've never heard of this, but I'm very interested to hear from you how it plays out.

    Magic Schools

Bound weapons are usually really underpowered in the late game, but I do think summoning daedra is pretty handy. Personally I wouldn't expand into another magic school. Since you are a mage/warrior then you now have perks and skills in: destruction, alteration, one-handed (or two-handed), and...

How to play a Good Guy: A Guide to Paladin Characters

I like your build idea for a sword and shield bearing paladin. The one thing I would like to add to this post is this: anyone can be good, regardless of their skillset. Whether you are a mage wielding all the powers of arcaneum or a knight in shining plate armor you have the capacity to be good...

    Questions No-one Bothers to Ask

I have to disagree. Alduin was trying to kill the Dragonborn. The Dragonborn is the only person who can kill a dragon by absorbing their souls. This is also why the dragon shows up at the Whiterun Watchtower at the exact moment the Dragonborn gets there; and why Alduin tells the dragon he raises...

    Your "wow" moments.

I've run into Imperial soldiers escorting prisoners many times and I never payed much attention to them until today. My assumption had been that the Imperials were taking the prisoner to the nearest fort or camp to hold him as a POW, but the truth is far more disturbing. I was hiking through the...

Buying First House... What do you reccomend?

You can get pay the steward to clean the blood off the floor of Hjerim

    Am I playing this right?

The benefits of having improved gear will offset the enhanced levels of your opponents. The weapons and armor that you can create are so much better than anything you will find in the shops or find as loot. If you begin creating your own weapons you could potentially double or even triple the...

    DLC rumors

I would be interested in seeing a prequel DLC based on the Great War. I'm not entirely sure how Bethesda would be able to implement it in Skyrim, but fighting on either the Imperial side or the Thalmor side would be really interesting. If you joined the Imperials you should be enlisted into the...

    Need some advise (Advanced character)

The College of Winterhold questline is actually really interesting, and ironically it barely involves using any magic

    Shield or dual wield

When I said that "in real life aggressive and fast attacks will lead to a swift end" my meaning was that if you fight carelessly you will die. The style of play that I utilize in Skyrim would never have worked historically in the real world. So in that sense I am agreeing with you. However...

    Stormcloak or Imperial

I agree, war is always complicated. Their is no clear-cut good guy in this war. Ultimately the best thing to do might be to side with whoever has a better chance of defeating the Thalmor. I will fight for the side that will put the humans in the best position for fighting the Aldmeri Dominion...

    Shield or dual wield

In real life warfare aggressive and fast attacks will lead to a swift end, in Skyrim however it is not so. I can rip apart an entire clan of Vampires with a flurry of attacks before they even have the opportunity to take me to half health. Speed and Strength is the name of the game.

    Stormcloak or Imperial

Throughout the course of human history one of the primary reasons for war has been territoriality. The Stormcloaks are following in the footsteps of many of mankind's greatest leaders. When Germany decided that it deserved an empire and proceeded to carve out chunks of Europe, many nations rose...

    Shield or dual wield

I've played with just about every skill set in the game (I obsessively create new characters) and when it comes to melee I take two-handed or dual-wielding over blocking every time. Blocking is an unnecessary time-waster. True, it raises your defense; but if you are aggressive and fast you don't...
