    Well my first play through I turned her over, and never saw these guys. This play through I killed Kamatu and everyone in the cave, and now these guys are hanging around. Makes sense... they just have me on edge, like they are just waiting for the right moment to do something.

    Chubby, thanks again for the assist. I do have a follow up. It seems that after downloading all three, I did almost instantly have some approach me to join Dawngaurd, and a courier give me a letter to adopt some kids, so it looks like Hearthfire and Dawngaurd are active... What will initiate...

    Onyx, while I haven't done much with the function, but you should be able to tell your follower to "Wait Here," while you move around. Of course, if things go south, this may mean that your follower doesn't come to aid without getting them to follow you again (again I haven't checked).
