"Hahaha. Actually I sorta just imagined the thing lifting and it just happens, but I've doing this for years."
Rath begins to drift off. But suddenly brings himself back to reality. "OH!"
Rath rumages through his sack brining out a tattered book with notes sticking inbetween the pages. "Here. It's got everything you need to know plus a few of my own findings and writings. I loved this as a child. Don't know why it's not very popular anymore I mean if you really trained at it then loading ships with cargo would be a breeze. But hey what do I know huh?"
Rath slides the book over to Tappit.
"It's a begginers guide. You won't find advanced spells in it except for the push one I designed myself it's a combination of lift and push but you focus most of the power on push that way it can do some damage depending on the object. All these spells can be focused on live beings as well. But like i said the more the object weighs the more trouble you're gonna have. I suggest practice by turning the pages. Oh and it's not like my no handed thing. You have to use your hands"
Rath looks at Tappit who seems mildly confused due to Raths quick speech.
"Ahaha. All is explained in the book."
    Rath looks at the book.
"Please please take care of it."

"I have told you what he knows of you just that you get vibes when I use his powers. And your right, a warrior death for me honorable and for a good cause. And agreed lets return to the others I have some apologizing to do."

Reaches for his pack, closing the lid and notices the protection ward sewn by Duvaindes, picks it up and handles it.
    "yeah some apologizing"

replaces it in the pack and closes and tightens the buckles and slings it over his shoulders. Checks his other gear and his weapons for accessability and heads back to the others with a renewed grace.

smiles " Yes thats right..... Its Hard to explain Michael, you just do." thinks "Hmm well I guess it would be the first "encounter" at the Hags... he would of done the same thing as you, but probably with a little more force and there might have been mud in the face for me fighting back... the second time would of been at dinner...but again he would of smashed the roll in my face..." looks off remembering the times her brother and her would play fight and always get in trouble for "rough housing" sighs getting a sad look in her eyes, changing the color to a deep emerald green, water starts forming at the corner of her eyes, she quickly wipes them away "Gawd these ruins are...grrrr" trys to cover up her tears, quickly smiles, a weak smile not her usual devious smile " Wonder if the falmer ever heard of a little spring cleaning"

Tappit nodded at Rathalos' advice as he accepted the tome "I have a deep respect for literature" he smiled at the young man and placed a hand over his chest "I swear I'll be careful with it" he quickly flicked through the pages taking a cursory glance, and appearing content with the book, he tucked it into his satchel for closer examination at a more convenient time. "Thank you, sai Rath". Tappit stood, grunting through the tiresome action and not wanting to interrupt any further, he left Rathalos to his thoughts once again. He had quickly rejoined the company of Duvaindes and Michael and felt intrusive for overhearing what he'd mistaken as them discussing his actions. He made for the small pile of rubble nearby, leant against the rocks and unslung the lute. He hummed along to a low and modest tune.

"I doubt that down here the Falmer know WHEN spring is..." he said chuckling. Looking around the platform, Michael's attention was drawn to an out of place sound. He turned to see Tappit playing his flute. "Hmm, I wonder if Falmer can dance..." he said as he glanced off into the distance imagining what a dancing Falmer would look like.

shrugs "They could.... Never know" looks over towards Tappit, her devious smile spreads across her face then fades away "Maybe some other time" Looks over her shoulder and sees Bruyn and Geminius walking back towards the group, she inches her way towards Andante, lightly elbows her in the side "Hey, Missing something?"

The lilt of a far off tune echos back from the walls as Bruynzeel approaches Tappit, "Sai, interesting tune I wish not to interrupt it but I need to apologize." as Tappit looks up. "Taps that outburst below was not meant toward you, or even our mischievious companion splashing an already drenched cat." bouncing a touch to Tappits tune. "The music of the box got to me. I am sorry, but no ill intent was meant toward you."

The chords of the lute seemed so out of place among the drone of the Dwemer machinery and it wasn't a tune that he recongnized, but it was sort of catchy. Geminus walked back down to the lower lever and retrieved the hammer he'd left down there. He tossed it onto his shoulder and returned to the group.
"Which door shall we try first? The door on the upper level is nice and easy and won't have to swim in armor. It had an inscription in the door, but I don't read Dwemer, at least that's what I presume it is."
He settled his helmet onto his head and waited for the others.
((The door on the upper level path is the quarters))

Tappit snorted followed by a deliberate nod at Bruynzeel's explanation. His eyes remained downcast at the positioning of his fingers along the fret-board of the lute. "No offence taken, sai" he smiled to himself as he noticed the Khajiit's knees bobbing to the music, an awkward dance as if he needed to use the litter box. He smiled up into to Bruynzeel's face shaking his head, immaculately groomed once again.

He stopped playing for risk of laughter, he knew the Khajiit was being sincere and could appreciate the risk of wearing your heart on your sleeve. "It's ok, I heard the music box too" he wrinkled his nose "If I ever clang away like that music box of yours, then I'd expect that kind of criticism". He rested his elbows over the lute and interlocked his fingers "dusty old thing sounds broken to me" he shrugged at the memory of the notes "I know the notes, but I'd dare not play them in that kind of order...it sounded like..." he twirled his hand in a cranking gesture searching for articulation "sickness" he shook his head. No. That wasn't entirely right but close enough for lack of a better word. Bruynzeel took in a breath to explain further, he opened his mouth and barely made out an utter before Tappit shook his head more firmly in protest. Just the very discussion of it made his stomach turn.
He changed the course of discussion to something more amusing "I'd assume you'll explain to Duvaindes too?" he let out a nervous chuckle as he glanced over Bruynzeel's shoulder at the Elf "she'll require closure" he spoke matter-of-factly "best before you sleep or..." he made a sawing gesture along his neck and stuck out his tongue "good luck with that!...Sai"

"Tappit, I noticed something. Along with your notes come those feelings you put into them." notices the bounce and stops "See like that, you inspired us to greatness and honor back there before getting caught. And I would have to say its a danger your gonna have to face. Not, I suspect getting too caught up in the song to realise your danger. I might hang back and protect your side, while the others take point in the next door." follows Tappits gaze over his shoulder and turns to depart but still there. "Yeah she might indeed be my final end." Chuckle purring

Concern lines had creased along Tappit's forehead and about the edges of his mouth. "Danger?" he was puzzled "That broken music box of yours creates nothing but repulsion to my ears!" He noted Bruynzeel's ears flatten to his skull and didn't need to see his face to understand the situation wasn't up for debate. He slung the lute over his shoulder and took to Bruynzeel's side. Feigning a theatrical sigh and smoothing the conversation out, he spoke with the tone of reluctance in his voice "mmmmkayyyyy...if you insist". They walked in silence, each to their own train of thought. Tappit edged ahead smirking to himself, Bruynzeel quickened his pace and grinned to his side at Tappit's raised eyebrow. Tappit began to jog ahead...before Bruynzeel's foot shot out clipping his ankle, Tappit doubled over as Bruynzeel broke into a sprint toward the others laughing his head off. Tappit dusted himself off to rejoin the group nursing a deliberate limp as he walked. He opened his mouth and closed it again...deciding that a squint was in order instead.

Suddenly realizing he'd been talking to himself, Geminus hefted the hammer onto his shoulder and strolled over to the landing near the doorway. Since he was a safe distance from the group, he studied the hammer, made by orcs, you could tell from the dark greenish metals and gothic style head. he figured it weighed about twenty-five pounds and as he turned it in the dim light of the cavern he could see slight glow of magic, silverish white like electricity. He took a couple of one-handed practice swings and nearly dropped it off the walkway. "Definitely a two hander..." and repeated the swings with both hands found he had a lot more control over it. Not optimal swings being used to a shield and sword, but he'd make it work. Satisfied he could swing the hammer without getting caught in his own armor, he propped it against the door and then leaned on the doorjam waiting for the others. He presumed Bruynzeel was telling the others of his secret or at least telling him that his earlier outburst was not directed towards them.

"Duva, I need you to know my earlier outburst was not directed at you I was overcome by my music box and I should have explained." turns toward lower platform "When everyone is prepared, we will be going in this lower platform door and see what we can find."

Tappit held two thumbs up at Duvaindes whilst mimicking an overly dramatic smile as Bruynzeel gave his explanation to her. He pursed his lips at the following plan to descend into the lower chambers and set off for the intimidating doorway. Thoughts filled his head of potential dangers and treasures to be found, he spent the loot in his head as he walked, over frivilous luxuries that he didn't need. He sauntered to the door and nodded at Geminus standing by looking patient and metallic "Sai rusty" he acknowledged with a playful grin hinting at the corners of his mouth. He looked back and upward at the others grouped together and hunkered down. He removed the book leant to him from Rathalos and began to read.

Geminus watch Tappit approach and say "Sai rusty" with a grin... "Damnit... where? I just bought this stuff... they said it wouldn't rust for months..." he dramatically replied with a laugh and exajurated looks at his armor. He suddenly wished the helmet had a visor so that he could lift it and let people see his expressions and made a mental note to modify the helmet when they returned to the city and thinking up ways to modify it.

Tappit paused from the book, holding a finger over the passage not to lose his place. He glanced up as Geminus spoke, it was amusing to watch how he conveyed himself. This time, he'd taken to laughing dramatically after his dryly placed joke. It was creepy. His laughter was muffled and echoed about within his helmet, the armour shook and rattled as he hitched in the throws of laughter. He'd bent forward at the hips holding his belly. Yeah, creepy.
Tappit raised a bushy eyebrow, shook his head and returned his attention to the book.

Rath watches while Geminus examines his armor.
    (Hmm speaking of which)
Rath removes his robes folding them gently and placing them in his bag.
Hes then stands up. Revealing the red and black armor.
He then proceeds to crack his knuckles and roll his shoulders over getting himself loose and limber.
"Hmm never really checked out my armor. Never had time too always busy."
Rath unclasps a strap on the arms folding down gaurds for his hands.
    "These are definatly leather Hahaha."
Rath puts his fingers throught the finger holes on the glove like things and examines them, noticing a clasp for the lower part of the gloves to keep them from falling off he buckles it shut with a sound of metal against metal.
"Sounds like metal feels like.... scales.."
Rath gives a confused look. He continues to examine his armor un-robed.

Tappit read the first few pages of the tome. The plot appeared predictable and uninspiring, the typical metaphors to be expected of a lower level teaching aid for magic. 'A lady of the court falls in love with a muscular stable hand that prefers to work with his shirt off', Tappit rolled his eyes. He flicked ahead through the pages and checked again 'forbidden love...blah blah blah...stable hand is imprisoned'. He flicked to the end of the book 'guards play cards and drink, fall asleep at their post from intoxication. Stable hand yearns for company of the lady whilst staring at keys, the keys suddenly levitate!....' "Riiiiight" Tappit closed the book. The metaphors were truly annoying, but fortunately, Tappit had noticed scrawled notes written in black ink alongside particular passages, other select words circled. At first, he'd thought the writing to be Rathalos' but the handwriting was elegant, the loops suggesting a feminine hand. Tappit considered to what extent and cost had this book come into Rath's possession? - the speculation was dismissed when he reached a possible dark outcome.

The first encounter with the black ink was only a few pages in, it circled a passage about the lady's jewellery box. Tappit followed the side note's instructions and shut his eyes. He relaxed his arms and legs, slowed his breathing and cleared his mind. Darkness, nothing but darkness. Tappit put himself in the middle of the dark, making himself familiar and comfortable with this place of his creation. "There is a box..." he mumbled "...I own a box" he looked down to see a box appear in his hands, it was a fairly large antique looking item, wooden, old and polished, the frame was gold or perhaps dwarven metal, the box had a small lock and a key that hung from a chain, he unlocked the box and placed the key over his head and around his neck for safe keeping. The ability to manipulate objects was in this box. Tappit wondered what it would look like, what treasures would be found. He opened the lid to peek and was suddenly hit by a blast of bright light...

There was a boom. Tappit flung back 6 feet from where he was seated. Remains of scorch marks clung in patches to his clothing, he smelt burning but there was no fire. He felt exhausted and thirsty. Tappit looked at Geminus, Geminus looked back. He snickered "That happens to people trying out new spells for the first time without any formal training." He helped Tappit to his feet. "You focused but didn't have control." He chuckled dramatically as a way to communicate his humour "You should have seen my first healing attempt".

as duva reached into her pouch to hand over the amulet, Bruyn broke the silence with words of apology she turned around seeing Tappit giving the thumbs up and gets a questioning look across her face "huh? Oh its...uh...ok Bruyn... no worries... I suppose stuff happens.. I'll be ready to continue on in a bit" turns back towards Andante "Maybe some other time when we have time alone to talk" locks arms with Andante and heads off towards the door, seeing Tappit on the ground smiles "There are two sides of magic one there are learners.... like yourself" chuckles at the patches of burnt clothing, unlocks arms with Andante and brushes her hair back with a flick of her hand "Then there are ones like myself" smiles and looks over towards Michael "And Michael who weild the natural ability without much training" holds a hand out towards Tappit
