As mentioned in another thread, there is a Necromancer with a bizarro chicken shrine just outside of Ivarstead. He's very protective of it, by the way.

The large circle of mushrooms in the woods near Bilegulch Mine (Falkreath).

Just noticed that there are a few Falmer arrows stuck into the ransacked wagon near Morthal (I always assumed bandits were the culprits in the attack...)

After thinking I'd seen everything there was to see on the map, I took a wrong turn on a hunting trip (left from Whiterun, have no idea where I wound up) and found a tiny puddle with a fozzilized giant mudcrab on the edge. For a minute there I thought it was alive and was split seconds away from running the opposite direction screaming my lungs out. It was cool as hell. I haven't managed to find it again, though, not that I've been trying that hard anyway.

Adding to the list of exploitable attack patterns:

Bears and saber cats: circlethem without stopping, attacking them until they begin to turn around to face you, then stagger them somehow. You can stay behind them and they shouldn't be able to touch you as long as you keep moving and stay on their tail.

A few days ago I decided to climb up (read: scale) a hill near the Thalmor Embassy, and ended up in an area behind the Embassy I'd never been to before.

There were two Snowy Sabre Cats there in a "cave", so I couldn't explore thoroughly (was low level). I bet the cats were guarding a chest or knapsack or some other loot.

Yes! I know that place too; there is some loot on a body in their lair. And actually there is another weird spot very near there. If you climb further up from the lair there is a skeleton in the snow with a few arrows or swords (I can't remember which) sticking out of it, and a knapsack with loot in it nearby.

I'm gonna have to climb higher next time - when I'm sure I can take on two snowies at once.

Thanks. :D

The other night I was in Understone Keep in Markarth, I was talking to the Jarl in the room with his throne. I looked behind one of the pillars and found a chest with some really good loot in it. The other pillar on the opposite side of the steps had another chest too.

Found an alchemist tent east of Falkreath near the Hearthfire house. It has a small pond and a water fall with 3 nirnroot and fish in the pond. The tent has a bed and im 95% sure the containers are safe to stash. Alchemy skill book. And behind the tent is some bleeding crown mushies in a circle around a tree. Cool place. Works for RP home base. Check it out.

I found new things in Falkreath, too. :D

First, an unlocked chest that was well hidden in a nook, fairly close to South Brittleshin Pass.
Second, a hunter camp just off the road, near Half-Moon Mill. I can't believe I only now found that one. o_O

The Danty Sload pirate ship is partly owned or at least backed by Erikur.

Falk Firebeard and the female thane of solitude (can't remember her name) are lovers. Hang around them long enough and you'll hear them talking about it.

Lars Battle Born is the product of incest. Idolaf and Alfhild Battle Born are his parents, and they are siblings.

There's a skeleton floating in the pool directly in front of dragonsreach (he's under the bridge)

Ysolda is a drug dealer, she will buy Sleeping Tree Sap from you.

There's a note in the unmarked bandit camp on Whiterun's East side (practically under the city) that implicates one of the Kajhiit caravans in Skooma Trafficking.

If you've never had to go to jail in Winterhold, you've probably never seen "The Chill", it's their prison, north of Septimus Signis's outpost.

If you play as an altmer, you can just walk into the Thalmor Embassy at any time, without any hassle.

I have been forcing myself to avoid using fast travel in my current playthrough and as a result I've been stumbling upon loads of unmarked locations. My favourite so far has been the shrine of Talos found on the road to Falkreath from Whiterun. I'd never seen it before and it really added to the feel of tension and fear I felt.

That's a new one for me, wow....I may have to go cause a ruckus in Winterhold now :)

Just be prepared, when you escape, there's 2 or 3 Frost Atronachs waiting for you. There's no guards in the "prison" itself, they leave you there to rot. You can also visit it without doing any crimes, but when you leave, the atronachs will be waiting for you regardless.
