Honestly, pick-pocket is not worth it

My experence at this skill is always slow but I have been able to hit the top and never waste any perks on it . There is one perk in the tree I have really been wishing I had >>> 100 % more carrying capacity for loot .

How do you backstab a Dragon?
I've been doing numbers, schill and burglary. Now those I enjoy. The fishing just isn't worth it. Nobody ever carries anything I really want (what the heck am I going to do with another 20 septims or a stupid dagger) and, as one poster pointed out, you're pick-pocketing friendlies! At least with the hostiles I can just kill 'em and then loot their bodies. Besides, the hostiles have the best stuff anyhow.

The people they get you to pickpocket in those quests are generally not the richest, I've made plenty of money of pickpocketing, jarls, court wizards, nobles. It really is a good skill, if you don't like the skill tree then try out Skyre, also.

No pickpocketing those folks I can get behind! SCR** DA' MAN! I especially would like to clean out Siddgeir's pockets. I bet he's got some great (and illegal) stuff. :)

I've never had a problem pick pocketing I just roleplay it all as bad luck cause one day it never works but the next it works every time
